Everyone, male and female, has a feminine side, an anima or animus. With Chiron opposition Venus, there is a lot of pain deep within connected with this part of your nature. Any aspect between Chiron and Venus shows that there were major issues dealing with your sexual role, and/or your relationship with members of the opposite sex. When this aspect expresses negatively, it can be the most extreme case of being unable to deal with one’s own anima or animus as the case may be.
Perhaps you were if a male ridiculed for your feminine side as a child. Or perhaps you were not allowed to indulge in it. (I’ve seen, for example, cases where a male child was discouraged from doing things like painting, or enjoying poetry, made to feel these were ‘not appropriate’ for boys.) The healing begins when you embrace your feminine side, and find a way to balance it with your masculine side, bringing about wholeness. When the wound is really intense, I have seen some males with extreme ‘macho’ behaviour along with a lot of difficult relationships, and other males going in the exact opposite direction, becoming super-feminine and still having trouble with relationships.

There is usually a deep wound here when it comes to fairness and/or equality, to the point that you felt the need to prove you are ‘as good as’ others. It may be that you always had to defend yourself in one way or another, or it may be that you were made to feel that you had to ‘win’ at all costs.
One major lesson you can learn from this aspect is when to compete, when not to! learn how to choose your battles.
This aspect can make you a real fighter, which can be for good or bad. If you see something that you feel needs change, or an obstacle that needs to be overcome, you won’t rest until you’ve ‘won’. This may be a physical fight, but this doesn’t necessarily make you a physical fighter (other aspects in the chart would show that). What this aspect does do is make you appear always ready to take up a banner, always ready to take up a cause.
As you grow, and heal from the wound, any particular cause you are drawn to will be for the betterment of life, or to help others in some way. But if you resist healing, there can develop the feeling you need to fight even for small things, or there can develop a paranoia giving you an ‘us versus them’ attitude. Even as you evolve and grow, the urge to ‘do battle’ is never dissipated, but as I said, you learn to choose your battles. What you believed in as a child, became a source of wound for you. Perhaps you had to put up a wall around yourself to protect yourself from attacks on what you believed, or perhaps you had to accept certain things ‘without question’. In any event, there is pain buried beneath the surface connected with your beliefs, and how you interpret events and situations that you come across. As a result, early in life, you had a tendency to take what you believed for granted, or being too comfortable in your beliefs.
The universe it seems, abhors any resistance to change, so until you learn to heal from your wound, you go through periods of upheaval, as traumatic events come to challenge the validity of your personal belief system. The results usually go one of two ways: a tendency to make some adaptation, but essentially to keep the same beliefs, or a realization that to grow, one must be open to new ideas, new concepts. If the first pattern is followed, there will be many more such challenges, until you learn to adopt the second pattern.
