With any Chiron trine, the deep wound is a battle between growing versus following a particular path and getting stuck. With Jupiter, it is in the realm of beliefs, and philosophies, as well as in understanding how other people think.

Part of the problem lies in the early years of life. You had experiences both good and bad that forced revision of your belief system. The experiences came from the most unexpected directions from areas where you assumed you knew pretty much all there was to know. These experiences made you learn quickly about other people, what makes them tick and what others believe. In this learning, you may frequently get remarkable insights, but there is a tendency too often of taking them for granted after a while. If you have Chiron trine Uranus you are part of a small, select group of people, born either between 1945–1946, or 1994–1995. This aspect does not in itself denote a wound, but it does show something that can stir up any that you may have: anything that tests, or questions, your integrity.

You cannot stand being involved in any tasks, job, or career that puts your basic integrity into question, and you would be willing to leave such a situation because of this. Less than honest, or less than honourable circumstances that might force you to be untrue to your own principles are totally unacceptable, and you would have no problem leaving to go elsewhere. You can deal with situations which may not be totally open and above-board, as long as they do not force you to put your motto, ‘To thine own self be true’ in jeopardy.

Another side to this aspect is that you may have major lessons to learn about admitting you are wrong about something, not only to other people,also to yourself as well.

One of the positive sides to this aspect is that it gives you an ability, if you tap into it, be able to fit square pegs into round holes (and vice versa.) Because this is a trine between the planet that likes to shatter the status quo (Uranus), and the one that looks for doorways beyond the present limits (Chiron), you have a good sense of when to work within the current structure making changes, versus when the current structure needs to be broken apart to make way for something better.

And it is very common for this aspect to be found in people who are attracted to careers which other people may feel are out of character.

This is often recognised as a harsh aspect; however, in this arrangement Chiron has a unique function in your vocation, calling you to be consciously aware of its influence over the course of your career. This suggests that the turning points in your vocation occur when you find yourself on the margins, a foreigner in the system you are working in. It is at these critical periods when you begin to forge your own unique destiny, realizing that you feel more comfortable on the fringe or edge of your profession, rather than in the centre. This insight frees you to pursue your calling.

This aspect suggests that your calling involves integrating something more subjective and intangible into your vocation. While this leaves you feeling an outsider, the truth is that you are keenly aware of what the system needs to be whole. Everyone, male and female, has a feminine side; an anima or animus. With Chiron square Venus, there is a lot of pain deep within connected with this part of our nature. Any aspect between Chiron and Venus shows that there were major issues dealing with your sexual role, and/or your relationship with members of the opposite sex. When this aspect expresses negatively, it can be the most extreme case of being unable to deal with one’s own anima or animus as the case may be.

Perhaps you were if a male ridiculed for your feminine side as a child. Or perhaps you were not allowed to indulge in it. (I’ve seen, for example, cases where a male child was discouraged from doing things like painting, or enjoying poetry, made to feel these were ‘not appropriate’ for boys.) Another possibility is the other extreme, that you were judged for being too male, having too much ‘testosterone’, so to speak.

The healing begins when you embrace your feminine side, and find a way to balance it with your masculine side, bringing about wholeness. When the wound is really intense, I have seen some males with extreme ‘macho’ behaviour along with a lot of difficult relationships, and other males going in the exact opposite direction, becoming super-feminine and still having trouble with relationships.

This aspect does give you a completely unique taste in the arts,such that it could lead you to create a whole new style or school of art, if you express the artiste within you. You find beauty in objects others may overlook, look down on, or close their eyes to. When it comes to personal value systems, yours is distinctly unique. Many people with this aspect follow their own path privately within society; others leave society altogether. For some there arises a personal imperative to show society where and how it is wrong to teach others about false values versus true values.
