To the pre-rational mind wounding and healing belonged to the sphere of the mysterious, the department of the divine. While we are more sophisticated today, the wisdom is the same; healing is possible when we engage in the mystery of the self and participate in understanding the contents of the unconscious. Chiron's placement is an indication you have the ability to know this truth, able to read symptoms and diagnose the heart of the discontent.

A serious disease or difficult prognosis is often the voice that calls us away from the course of an unreflective life into a more meaningful and soulful pathway. In your case there may be other triggers that lead you to your own unique path of self exploration. What is important to recognize that you are summonsed onto a healing pathway, because of your own depth of understanding. Chiron quincunx Sun

You have a real feel for the NOW! for what is needed at the present moment in whatever field you enter. It is as if you can tune in to some subtle message that tells you ‘now is the time to do this particular thing’.

However, with this aspect, there is a danger of getting stuck in that pattern, of staying with that vibration, even though it is time to move on to something else. You have major lessons to learn about adaptation and versatility.

Positively, if you can tune into the undercurrents, you can BECOME the vibrations, you can understand them so thoroughly that you identify with them, and other people will begin to identify them that way too. But you must learn to move on to another level, another role.

The wound felt from this aspect can, however, cause you to misuse the ability it gives you; for while you are in tune with the vibrations, you can, if you so choose, use this attunement to control other people. As you heal, though, this transforms into an ability to guide others rather than control them. If you learn to be adaptable, you are then capable of teaching others, and teaching others to grow and adapt.

Chiron opposition Uranus

Between 1952 and 1989 Chiron exactly opposed Uranus forty-one times, and was in orb of opposition for just about everyone born during those 47 years. Thus, it is more of a generational influence than an individual one.

Historically, you can see that this aspect is tied into the accelerated pace of scientific advancement during the second half of the Twentieth Century. Actually, one of the problems is that science is making discoveries faster than they can be integrated into society; even faster than proper safeguards can be devised for our protection from side effects and from the discoveries themselves.

This same ‘vibration’ is, in many ways, a part of the nature of individuals who have this aspect. Quincunx is always an aspect of adjustment.
