LIFE GOALS

The Sun

Just as the Sun is the centre of the earth's Solar System, so does the Sun play a vital role in your life on earth. Your life goals are linked to your Sun - its Zodiac Sign and its position in your chart. Contrary to popular belief, the Sun isn't the only planet to be considered in a person's chart, but it is an important component. The Sun gives you an indication of how you can shine in your life. You will feel truly alive when you're living the traits indicated by your Sun. Therefore it's likely that you will spend much of your life on a journey to self discovery, aiming to incorporate these traits into your life. Understanding the energy of your Sun is a good starting point to understanding yourself and your purpose in life.

The Sun is in the 8th House

Your Sun is in the 8th House of your birth chart meaning that the processes of birth and death play a prominent role in your life. Of course this is true for many people, but whereas other people may welcome a birth or grieve a death and then get on with their life, the birth and death of loved ones affects you so deeply that you're likely to change the course of your life as a result. You're an intense person, who likes to bypass the superficial side of life and delve deeply into the meaning of life. Many people feel uncomfortable discussing intimate topics such as birth, death and sexuality, but you're not so reluctant. In fact it's important that you delve into these topics rather than push them to one side. The most significant death in your life is likely to be that of your father, who is an important figure in your life. You are also likely to welcome the birth of children as a life-enhancing experience. Your experiences you’re your father deeply affect your style of parenting. Whether you have a positive or negative relationship you’re your father, your role as a parent is an important avenue for you to express the very depths of your nature. Trust is a key feature of your life. While you may have difficulty trusting some people, it's important that you've someone close to you who knows you intimately, someone with whom you feel comfortable talking about your innermost thoughts and feelings. You need to trust and follow your own intuition. If you do this then you're likely to benefit through your primary partnership, gaining in personal fortune either through your partnership or after the partnership has ended. You're also likely to live a long and fruitful life, although you may go through critical life and death periods.

The Sun is in Pisces

Your Sun is in the Zodiac Sign of Pisces indicating that you're an imaginative and serene individual with a strong wish to be allowed to live in a world where harsher realities fade into the background and the dreamier aspects come into focus. You're a very talented individual, and it is indeed important for you to find a channel for all of your creative energies, otherwise you find yourself slipping into a world of unreality and apathy. You need to avoid any negative avenues of escapism, such as drugs and focus on your highest aspirations. You're the type of person who finds it is important to set aside time each day for meditation or artistic pursuits. Quiet activities such as sitting on a beach or listening to soothing music may appeal, in fact you need to find time to pursue any activity which suits your gentle nature. Pisces is a Water sign indicating in your case that still waters run deep. Therefore you may find yourself drawn to the mystical or spiritual side of life, in particular pastimes or studies which develop your intuition and understanding of the sacred side of life. Generally speaking you benefit greatly from such interests, but you do need to be wary of a tendency to lack discrimination, which can lead to you becoming devoted to spiritual teachers rather than listening to your own intuition. Your sensitive nature and pure heart are also well suited to caring for others. At times you can be so kind and understanding that you've difficulty saying "no" to troubled friends. You do need to beware of becoming the victim of other people's unnecessary demands. You enjoy healing other people's hurts, both emotional and physical, but don't wish to take on the role of martyr. On a physical level, you may be particularly sensitive to drugs, recreational and medicinal. Therefore you need to proceed with caution and explore all side affects, including possible allergies. Preventive measures are more suited to your nature, rather than invasive ones. This again emphasizes your need to slow down and smell the roses, and perhaps even paint them.

The Sun is Conjunct Mercury

The combination of the Sun and the planet Mercury in your chart can vary depending on other influences in your chart. The planet Mercury is considered by astrologers to represent the trickster. Ancient astrologers also measured the beneficial or damaging influences of Mercury in terms of how close this planet was to the Sun's beams. The closer the planet to the Sun the more detrimental. Positively this combination can mean that you're likely to succeed in life through your quick wit and business acumen. You're studious, learning new subjects with ease, and are particularly adept in the scientific and mathematical fields. On the other hand you can be too fond of seeking stimulation, with the cost of failing to complete a task. You're the proverbial "Jack or Jill of all trades, master/mistress of none".

The Sun is Conjunct Venus

The combination of the Sun and the planet Venus in your chart can vary depending on other influences in your chart. Ancient astrologers measured the beneficial or damaging influences of Venus in terms of how close this planet was to the Sun's beams. The closer the planet to the Sun the more detrimental. On the positive side you're fond of company and pleasure, particularly seeking the company of women friends. You take pleasure in caring for your appearance, and in attending pleasurable outings. Dancing, music, art, theatre and other artistic pursuits are also appealing. On the other hand you could be over-indulgent, spending too much time and money on your appearance, and seeking pleasure at the cost of achieving your goals in life.

The Sun is Opposite Neptune

Your lack of confidence is likely to stand in your way in achieving your life goals. This is because the Sun is making a difficult aspect to the planet Neptune in your birth chart. You're a sympathetic and kind person, but you're apt to be overwhelmed by the injustices of the world. As a result you lose sight of your goals and become confused about your direction. It's also possible that you allow other people to tell you how to live your life. You're so eager to please others, that you find it difficult to assert your own rights and beliefs. At times like these you may benefit from moments of quiet reflection, or meditation, which enable you to develop an ability to rely on your own inner resources. It's possible that your confusion stems from childhood experience with your father, or a father figure. Perhaps this person was weak or ill and unable to support your development, or perhaps the death or absence of a father strongly influenced your life. Either way the result is that you've difficulty finding a firm footing on which to base your life as an adult. Your challenge is to learn to trust your own intuition, and to use your artistic and sensitive nature for the benefit of other people without losing yourself.

Jupiter

The planet Jupiter also tells you about your goals in life, in particular the areas in which you are likely to succeed. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, abundance and wisdom. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Jupiter had a greatly beneficial effect on a person's life.

Jupiter is in the 7th House

Jupiter is also in the 7th House of your chart signifying that relationships are usually beneficial in your life, helping you to expand your monetary and spiritual resources. You attract a partner, who is rich in the earthly or spiritual sense, or perhaps both. This could be a successful business person or someone of high professional standing, or perhaps someone who has taken a spiritual path in life. Either way you're likely to be happy and benefit through your primary partnership. It's not just your relationship to your spouse which is successful, but also business partnerships and relationships with colleagues, and in partnerships which require a legal agreement. You're likely to succeed in any project which requires dealing with other people. The fact that you prefer to work with other people, rather than on your own, is probably a result of your natural instincts telling you that you're likely to benefit through your partnerships. Other people appreciate your ability to work happily and co-operatively in business and personal projects. Of course much of this depends on other influences in your birth chart. In some cases you could suffer through your relationships, but Ancient astrologers believe that the planet Jupiter has a beneficial effect in a person's birth chart. They also believe that it's in a favourable position in the angular 7th House. This means that you're likely to be successful in achieving your goals in partnership with other people.

Jupiter is in Aquarius

You've the planet Jupiter in the Zodiac Sign of Aquarius in your birth chart indicating that as a broad-minded and liberal person you like to be allowed to follow your own original path through life. You're also equally happy to accept other people's freedom to follow their own path, no matter how unusual that may be. While conscious of the rights of individuals, you are also a humanitarian and like to see each person contributing their gifts to humanity. Your interests may be linked with the fields of science and metaphysics, or it may simply be that you've an unusual approach to a traditional field. It's certainly true that you've an original and inventive approach to life, and this can be inspirational to other people. You're cheerful and social, and enjoy exchanging ideas with other people in convivial circumstances. You're likely to spread your unusual ideas through teaching or in lectures in academic circles or foreign countries. At times you can be so involved in intellectual pursuits that you're indifferent to the ordinary affairs of life.
