Your Sun Sign

Sun in Aquarius

In contemporary astrology the zodiacal image of Aquarius has been transformed from its ancient counterpart through the discovery of Uranus, the first planet sighted beyond the seven classical ones of antiquity. As Uranus replaced Saturn as the modern ruler it brought the collective values of parity, liberality, consensus and social equality to the zodiacal territory of Aquarius. When the stage production of Hair opened in the 60's its leading anthem was called Aquarius, a revolutionary ode to world peace. With your Sun in Aquarius, you sense the winds of change and want to be carried away by the new spirit of freedom and equality for all. Aquarius is the archetypal essence that reminds us that world peace and equal opportunity are not only ideals, but also human values that can be achieved through a humanitarian spirit.

Your Aquarian virtue of freedom is not only the urge for unity in your external environment but your inner experience of independence which inspires you to strive for the rights and liberty of others. It is the freedom of your spirit that strengthens you to be liberated from the herd, to make your own choices, create an unconventional lifestyle, assess a situation independently, evaluate freely and be politically incorrect. All these are essential to your lifestyle and vocation. As a result you may enjoy exploring advanced and ground-breaking professional avenues in science, technology, astrology, electronics, aeronautics, or multi-media.

You are drawn to feats of humanitarianism that lessen mass suffering, improve living conditions and help in time of crisis and catastrophe. You celebrate the communal spirit that forges trustworthy communities and establishes socially responsible organisations. You embrace the individuality of each person but exist for the good of the whole. Brotherhood and Sisterhood is your ideal and it is here where you encounter your spiritual siblings; they are your friends, allies and colleagues, kindred spirits who share your inner spirit of freedom, individuality and human values. Your freedom of expression for the shared passions and enthusiasm is your link to your friends and colleagues. Friendship and the experience of being accepted for just being who you are is like returning home to a sense of congeniality and an enjoyment of the shared spirit of life. You need to experience the sense of belonging to a larger family and have your individuality acknowledged within the larger collective.

Your task is to learn the value of inner freedom, no longer being enslaved to wanting what others have or feeling the need to be like others. You yearn to be valued as an equal individual within the group. Equality is not having the same as everyone else or being like everyone else, but embracing your individual needs, desires and tastes. Freedom to be outside the herd, to broaden your perceptions and admire your own uniqueness is your vocation. To find your vitality and spirit and to feel soulful in the world, you need to strive to be altruistic, broadminded, detached, friendly and original. Let your humanitarianism be your guiding impulse.

Your Moon Sign

Moon in Cancer

Your Moon is in Cancer, its natural home. As the governess of the tides you too are aware of the constantly changing moods, the fullness of feelings and the letting go of attachments. Therefore you are highly sensitive to the subtle textures and colours of the feeling life, especially when you are in a closely-knit group. You respond to others in your environment and can feel easily hurt when they are unresponsive or withdrawn. Therefore in your daily work and rituals it is important to feel emotionally safe and secure. You prefer your work environment to be like family and instinctually might try and recreate a familial environment. It is important to be aware of your security needs at work and strive to have these met or protect yourself when you feel unsafe. Building both emotional and financial security in your vocation is important.

From an early age you recognised your tender touch. You might have imagined being a nurse, a vet, a carer or a teacher. While your life path may have veered away from your childhood images you still need to feel engaged and attached to what you are doing. Much of your need to care can be fulfilled through parenting. However if you do not choose this path then you might find yourself drawn towards professions where care is highlighted. To care for your own soul, however, you need to feel supported by close friends and provide a safe nest for yourself.

If you are called to the nurturing professions then your Moon in Cancer might lean towards caring for the dependent, such as aged care, childcare, becoming a paediatrician or specialising in infant illnesses. Women's issues or family orientated concerns may also appeal. Nurturing professions such as health care, nursery or day care, primary teaching, social work, nursing, counsellors and helpers of all kinds like family therapists and social workers would be part of the wide spectrum that you may feel drawn towards.

Your Rising Sign

Ascendant in Gemini

Your Gemini Ascendant denotes versatility, flexibility, and adaptability. You're clever, cunning, and intuitive. These traits need to be expressed in your life if you are to feel a degree of satisfaction. If other parts of your Birth Chart (and therefore personality) show a leaning toward security then this Ascendant can be an excellent motivator. Your Ascendant means that you easily find the answer to any questions. All you need do is seek and you will find. Complacency will not do. You will know when you need to listen to your Gemini Ascendant when you are feeling restless and bored. You are well-advised to seek stimulation and pursue your interests. If you are bored then you are likely to start worrying or fretting. Money, for the sake of money, is not your ultimate goal in life. Your primary motivation is stimulation, because you hate to be bored. You enjoy exchanging ideas with other people, whether it is through the spoken or written word. Your inability to concentrate, combined with your hectic pace of life, can sometimes get in your way in pursuing your true purpose. Sooner or later you're forced to listen to the advice of those around you, telling you to select a course of action. Therefore you could also benefit from a financial advisor. Communication is vital, and you soon develop a strong desire for knowledge and expression which leads to true fulfilment. If you would like to focus on a positive affirmation connected to money then with your Gemini Ascendant you could use this one from “Creating Money – Keys to Abundance”by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer “I honour and value my creativity and ideas”.

Planets in Signs

Mercury in Capricorn

The planet Mercury in the zodiac sign of Capricorn indicates that you're a wise and careful thinker, preferring to take your time to consider all possibilities before making decision. You are also likely to choose your words carefully before talking. You place importance on credibility and authority. Therefore you'll seek knowledge which carries some authority. You've an astute mind and enjoy studying a variety of subjects, approaching your topics in a serious fashion. For this reason you enjoy success in the academic world. It's also likely that others will appreciate your wisdom and counsel in many matters. While it's true that you have the ability to become an acknowledged expert in your field, it's also true that you can become a little rigid in your thinking. You approach new ideas with caution, preferring the tried and tested ways that have already been trod. However, with your practical nature you will soon see the advantages of anything new on offer.

Venus in Capricorn

With Venus in the sign of Capricorn you're shy in relationships, slow to form friendships with other people but, once you've committed to another person, then you're steadfast in your efforts to maintain the relationship. This is particularly true of your primary relationship. Not one to be distracted by romantic illusions, you may appear to be reticent, almost cold, in the first throes of love. This is partly because you're timid, but it's also because you like to weigh up the pros and the cons to any new relationship. You're a great believer in the adage "actions speak louder than words" and you like to observe other people's actions. You form relationships slowly, but they are enduring. Your head isn't ruled by your heart, although you like to think that you've a good balance. This is fortunate because you're ambitious in relationships, seeking a partner who is of good character and good standing in the community. For these reasons you may have more difficulty in your relationships earlier in life, seemingly missing out on the flurry of social contacts being experienced by your more flighty friends. It's later in life that your relationships flourish and you're placed in positions of trust and responsibility through your liaisons with other people, particularly people in authority. It's also later in life that you stand to profit through your relationships, either financially or through promotions in your social standing.

Mars in Capricorn

The planet Mars in the sign of Capricorn indicates that you're motivated by ambition. "A job worth doing is a job worth doing well" could be a good motto for your approach to both your personal and professional life. You have a serious side to your nature which seems to hold you back when you're young, but stands you in good stead as you grow older. You're cautious, slow to take risks, preferring the tried and true path trodden by others before you. It's not that you want to rely on other people. Quite the contrary. You're self-reliant and independent. It's simply that you're a serious person, who prefers to take things slowly and make sure that your responsibilities are carried out properly. You're a quiet achiever, reliable and trustworthy. You may not be as good as others at sounding your own trumpet, but you quietly achieve all that you set out to achieve, even if you do take a little longer than others. For this reason you're easily noted for promotion and leadership roles later in life as those in authority come to value your skills. It's also possible that you prefer working independently of other people, in which case you'll benefit through your business or professional associations. This is fortunate because you're eager to get ahead in life. The planet Mars is considered to be in a favourable position in the sign of Capricorn and therefore it's likely that you achieve your ambitions, although perhaps later in life.

Jupiter in Cancer

You've the planet Jupiter in the zodiac sign of Cancer in your birth chart indicating that you are an idealistic person, who has a strong humanitarian side to your nature. You want to take everyone under your wing, whether they be family members in trouble or victims of world disasters. You may feel the urge to travel overseas to take care of other people, possibly even becoming involved in a humanitarian or religious welfare group. It is also possible that you have a large family. If not your friends will become your family, and you've many friends. This depends on other influences in your birth chart. You're kind-hearted and popular and so attract friends from both the lower and higher echelons of society. Although you mean well, you do need to be wary of becoming too meddlesome in other people's affairs. You're likely to benefit from your connections with your loved ones, possibly through unexpected inheritances and legacies. Astrologically the planet Jupiter is considered to be in a favourable position in the sign of Cancer and therefore it is likely that you will achieve your goals.

Saturn in Capricorn

The planet Saturn in the sign of Capricorn signifies that conservative values play a strong role in your life, although you're able to embrace new ideas when practicable. You strive to have a fair balance because you're pragmatic. You're quiet and, reserved, although by no means a pushover. In fact you've a strong, ambitious side to your nature, and in your own quiet way you work towards achieving your goals. Astrologically the planet Saturn is considered to be favourably placed in the sign of Capricorn, which means that you're likely to achieve your life's ambitions through quiet persistence. You're serious and cautious by nature and can experience moments of anxiety, but you're likely to overcome these worrisome traits, particularly later in your life. You possess tact and diplomacy. This, coupled with your tenacity, will result in success. You've a tendency to work alone rather than depend on other people. This could be a sign of your reserved nature, or it could be that you've been let down by co-workers and acquaintances in the past. On the whole you're wise to rely on your own resources, because acquaintances could prove a disappointment from time to time.

Uranus in Capricorn

The planet Uranus was in the sign of Capricorn from 1988 - 1996. It's important to note that Uranus spends a long time in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Uranus in your chart. Uranus in the sign of Capricorn indicates that you belong to a generation that will introduce new structures, possibly governmental or business structures. It indicates a generation which will consolidate original ideas and introduce a practical building of new ways. This is also a period of the breaking down of old structures such as the dismantling of the Berlin Wall.

Neptune in Capricorn

The planet Neptune is in the sign of Capricorn from 1984 - 2000. It's important to note that Neptune takes about 164 years to make a complete cycle, spending about thirteen years in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Neptune in your chart. Neptune in the sign of Capricorn indicates that you belong to a generation possessing the ability to apply discipline on the spiritual path. You'll possess the wisdom to incorporate both the old and new spiritual values to form a firm foundation for future spiritual growth.

Pluto in Scorpio

The planet Pluto is in the sign of Scorpio from 1984 - 1995. It's important to note that Pluto takes about 248 years to make a complete cycle, spending 12 - 32 years in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Pluto in your chart. Pluto in the sign of Scorpio suggests that you belong to a generation possessing the ability to initiate change on a world-wide basis in order to rise above the basic desires of humanity. Your generation may experience conflict on a world-wide basis, and will be forced to learn the right use of the world's resources. This generation is also concerned with changing sexual relationships.

Chiron in Cancer

The wounds you experience in childhood may affect you in a profound way. Stress sources for you are often related to family, parents, and your emotional development. Emotional healing could become a priority for you. At some point you are likely to be involved in a process of deep-seated healing that in some way is connected with home, family, domestic matters and emotional security. Where do I belong? Where is home? What constitutes a family? These are some of the questions that lie deep within you. You are a sensitive soul who will probably develop a rich inner life.

You may become interested in investigating old patterns and family relationships, and in the process you will learn a great deal about yourself. You will discover how the past has contributed to your present and you will begin to express your feelings in new ways, which will prove to be highly cathartic.

You are highly imaginative, but at times you can feel insecure. At times of stress you need to retreat from the world. It is possible you will experience some conflicting emotions, from the heights of euphoria to the depths of sadness. Your moods can fluctuate quite rapidly. Physical concerns with digestion, stomach, the breast area, fluid metabolism, or food issues can be part of your journey, and can signal the need for emotional healing.

Delving into the past, or into your own unconscious patterns using tools such as psychotherapy, will bring deep emotional healing. You may feel the need to go through this process before you can fully embrace your future. Let yourself experience this without fear. Know you are safe.

Healing options that can be additionally beneficial for you include nutrition, diet changes, counselling, family therapy, hydrotherapy, dream work, meditation, hypnotherapy, or aromatherapy. In your life, try to strike a balance between giving and receiving.

Planets in Houses

Sun in 10th house

In your 10th house you have the Sun. Solar occupations have been traditionally linked with speculation and risk-taking in entrepreneurial business ventures. While the Sun is not psychologically associated with risk, except perhaps the risks of self-discovery, the Solar sphere of the 5th house rules speculation and gambling and conjures up images of commodity traders, promoters, stock exchange personnel, investment bankers, high risk investors.

Solar qualities of leadership and fathering are connected with authoritative and executive positions. The Sun represents vocations that father and foster others, and with the Sun in the 10th house leadership is part of the career path; hence positions such as foremen, presidents, magistrates, community leaders, business managers, instructors, principals and team directors are reflective of the Sun shining through the 10th house. On a personal level the need for the personal father's approval may be high and this could be unconsciously transferred onto superiors in the workforce when father's approval feels lacking or is withheld. Father may also be influential in the choice of vocation; this is not always conscious, as father's unlived professional life may be cast a shadow over your own career path.

The Sun is also linked to entertainment professions, amusements, self-improvement, creative expression or careers involved relating to an audience. Acting, the theatre, the performing arts, motivational training, teaching, sales, advertising and promotions are all consistent with the urge to express the self. This also could manifest in careers involving amusement centres, or professions which deal with leisure and recreation. The Sun is also the natural ruler of the 5th house, suggesting working with children and children's products. A wide range of careers would fit this category such as teachers, child counsellors, children's recreation or amusement, children and educational toys, children's wear etc.

Of all the planetary types, the solar type is one of the most difficult to typify. However, you need to enjoy what you do and feel personally identified with your vocation. There is a strong affinity with creativity and a need to be acknowledged and congratulated for your creative endeavours. Ultimately what is important is that you are able to identify with your career and be able to place your creativity and yourself at the heart of what you do.

Moon in 3rd House

During the previous phase you developed your self-esteem and intuition. Now is the time to put these things into action. You need to communicate your newfound sense of confidence and to act on your intuition. You may decide to study a new subject, re-train in your work, or to teach others your skills. Whatever you choose to do, the emphasis is on communications. All things connected with information will flood into your life right now. This includes information technology, transport, postal systems, short-term study courses, neighborhood groups and personal networks. You may begin to practise your new skills with your neighbors, colleagues or perhaps to further develop your relationship with your siblings. It is also possible that you consider moving away from your neighborhood, traveling to the other side of your town or city or moving interstate. You are keen to find intellectual stimulation now, the type of inspiration that comes from learning new topics and experiencing a new environment.

Mercury in 9th House

The Messenger of the Gods is in the House of the Gods. As such your likely to experience a leap of faith during this period. This could mean that you experience a transcendental moment in your life, something that inspires you to take up a spiritual or artistic lifestyle. On a more practical note you may decide to travel, enter into academia or become involved in an international or multi-cultural cause. At first you may simply find yourself drawn to material (reading or media) that stretches your mind and interests. Gradually though you are likely to want to learn more, and perhaps change your life as a result. This is a period in your life where you can focus on the bigger picture rather than worrying about small details. The world news rather than local affairs is likely to attract your attention. If you are spiritually inclined then you may like to think of this as a time during which you can "feed your soul". It is certainly a period during which you can discover meaning and purpose in your life.

Venus in 9th House

As the planet of love progresses into the 9th House of your Birth Chart so do you begin to question the meaning of life. In particular you may query the relationships, the lifes and times of your loved ones and your deepest connections with others. You may feel an urge to break the bonds of the past and to emerge with a new set of values. Your understanding of God, the world at large and world issues may come into focus. If you have connections with other cultures or people from foreign lands then these are likely to change for the better. If those connected to you do not make positive changes, then you are likely to instigate them yourself. You are ready for a new phase of life that is based on meaningful and purposeful connections. Your world is expanding in ways that bring you pleasure and likewise you want to share your experiences. You may feel an urge to study an academic course, or travel to foreign lands. If so then you are likely to do so for pure pleasure rather than from a sense of ambition, purpose or duty. Money will flow when you need it for publishing, travel and study.

Mars in 8th House

As the planet Mars progresses into the 8th House of your birth chart you are likely to discover what it means to be self-sacrificing. Contrarily your emotions and/or sexuality can become more prominent. Your challenge is to set aside your own desires so that you can focus on projects or people other than yourself. This can initially be challenging, but ultimately it is all part of the getting of wisdom. The good news is that you are likely to have access to increasingly more and more resources in order to help you gain understanding of the cycles of life, and the higher purpose of your life.

Jupiter in 1st House

Jupiter is also in the 1st House of your chart signifying that you've a zest for life which makes other people sit up and take notice. This is fortunate because you do like to be the centre of attention, whether in the company of a small or large gathering. You also know how to best utilise your popularity. Whether it is quietly pursuing your own interests behind the scenes, or lecturing in front of a crowd of people, other people seem only too happy to help you achieve your goals. You're a natural-born teacher. This could be tutoring on a one-to-one basis, or teaching a room full of adults or children. Your optimism and enthusiasm are contagious, and you're likely to attract prominent positions in the field of education, and in business circles. You've a philosophical approach to most things in life, preferring to leave matters in the laps of the Gods rather than worry too much. This could be because you have a tendency to fall on your feet, no matter how difficult a situation. Ancient astrologers believe that the planet Jupiter has a beneficial effect in a person's birth chart. They also believe that it's most powerfully favourable in the angular 1st House. This means that you're likely to be successful in achieving your goals.

Saturn in 9th House

The planet Saturn progresses slowly through the Zodiac and therefore its influence is subtle. Saturn is a wonderful planet when you do your homework. However, if you try to escape your responsibilities then you are likely to suffer the consequences. So wherever this planet progresses you need to listen to your conscience and obey, rather than try to cut corners. In your case Saturn is progressing now through the 9th House of your Zodiac indicating that opportunities for new adventures are likely to dawn. Of course you may have Saturn in the 9th House of your Birth Chart and therefore you are accustomed to life-changing situations connected with foreign countries, travel, study, teaching and religion. However, if Saturn is slowly progressing into the 9th House then these types of opportunities are likely to arise during the course of your life. Your work may also be linked now to associations with people from other cultures, or with legal matters. This is your chance to gradually incorporate more meaning and purpose into your life.

Uranus in 8th House

+Uranus Square Pluto This combination is a powerful one. Sudden reversals of fortune are likely during your lifetime. On the positive side of the ledger this can indicate sudden windfalls, inheritances, increases in dividends and bonuses. However, it can also be that you are the type of person who receives money and spends it on large items or ventures. This could include travelling to exotic places, equipment for an adventurous hobby, or funding someone else’s business scheme. If you have this combination then you need to keep up with your accounts, taxes and other fiscal responsibilities. Any joint monetary ventures, including marital ones, need to be entered into with caution. You may like to ensure that you have a pre-nuptial agreement if you doubt your partner’s ability to handle money. This may be such an important issue to you that it is a deal breaker i.e. a potential partner who cannot share your monetary values is not marriage material. You are likely to experience some concerns about who controls your finances. For this reason you may like to take total control of your own fiscal portfolio, fearing that others are not to be trusted. In your case this could be a very wise move. This combination can indicate untrustworthy business deals, underhanded partners and other such negative influences. However, left to your own devices and with a good dose of wisdom then you can enjoy the lessons that come along with handling money. Your life is likely to be rich with experiences and lessons learnt, even if this does not always reflect in your bank balance.

Neptune in 8th House

+Neptune Square Pluto When the planets Neptune and Pluto combine to influence the 8th House of your Birth Chart your financial portfolio is subject to some volatile forces. On the positive side of the ledger you can accumulate great wealth, strike it rich. Your challenge then is to make the most of your good fortune, rather than squandering it. This is the negative side of the ledger. You may have difficulty making sound investments. Forces at work seem to sabotage your efforts. On the other hand you may have a passionate interest in the world’s economy, natural resources and politic organisations. As such you could expend your time, personal income and energy becoming embroiled in matters larger than your own personal interests. As such material wealth is repellent rather than attractive. All of your personal resources may be directed into helping the planet and society in general. Money may enable you to pursue your passions.

Pluto in 6th house

In your horoscope Pluto is in the domain of the 6th house and your task is to find ways to express the archetype of the underworld and death in your daily life. While this may seem an ominous task change is an everyday part of our experiences. Reflect on how you might be able to bring this powerful force into the working sphere.

Mythologically Pluto resides below the visible world, surfacing infrequently. However when he does make his presence known, it is life altering. Therefore with Pluto in this sphere your work experience is transforming and confronting. Through work you are drawn into the deeper aspects of yourself in order to learn to trust yourself. The nature of Pluto is to reveal what is buried and it is consistent with this archetype to suggest that work is therapeutic by nature forcing you into a confrontation with the self. What is it you said you would never do? What is it you fear? Well with Pluto in the 6th house it is in the work sphere where you will confront these taboos. Quite literally you may work in an area that deals with what is unmentionable, secret or buried.

Professionally this gives you a depth of character. This may lead you into therapeutic careers, occupations that involve loss, death, transition, or employment which is intense. Like an archaeologist you like to peel away the layers to find the truth and therefore have a knack for research, crisis work or change management. You may also be involved with finance, especially the investment of other people's resources. Your best work is done in a crisis and therefore destiny may lead you into an occupation where your critical skills are needed to manage or advise. However what is very important is that you also are aware of your need for privacy and respect. You work well with others when you need to, but probably do better on your own.

Therefore you need to reflect on the nature of your vocation and become comfortable with the intense nature of work. You have a propensity to become fixated or obsessed with work detail and perhaps do work best in an intense way. You need to be vigilant that work does not consume you or abduct you away from your personal life. Because the work environment constellates your strength and conviction you often experience other colleagues or work mates being intimated by or envious of you. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to change this except to recognise their discomfort with your intensity and your commitment to truth. Certainly you cannot allow yourself to be disempowered by others' weaknesses. On the other hand you will also draw powerful and insightful people in your orbit who will change your attitudes to work. The sphere of work will offer you the opportunities to encounter your integrity and honesty, confronting you to be true to yourself.

;=====================================================================

NorthNode in 10th House

Your North Node is in the 10th house with the South Node being in the polarity of the 4th house. In your horoscope this is the axis that brings the divergent spheres of public life and the private world into focus. As an astrological opposition this alliance contrasts the inner and outer worlds and forces you into finding a meaningful balance between the two throughout the course of your life. Your natural tendency might find it easier to be home, private and involved with your family; however this astrological statement highlights the importance of your role in the world and encourages you to focus on your vocational pathway. Meaning will be found outside the familial environs, not inside.

Even though you may find it daunting or uncomfortable, effort is needed to develop your career path. If you reflect on it you have an innate sense of feeling safe and grounded, therefore it is time to take your sense of self out into the world. Ironically when you manage this task you are met with acknowledgement and acclaim. Without challenging yourself to find a career path you are at risk of not developing your potential in the world. Your ambition is strong and you will not be satisfied with feelings of under achieving. The unlived life awaits you in the public sphere but you need to know this will not interfere with your need for privacy. You have an innate ability to be public without compromising your integrity or privacy. While you may be comfortable with your familial roles it is necessary to find your social responsibilities. While you may know your place in the family it is time to know your place in society. Astrologically career is a focus of your life and one that can provide stability and completeness in being. Risk being out there and you will garner mass support.

Chiron in 2nd house

A planet in the 2nd house is an archetypal presence that helps to create a supportive and positive approach to your sense of worth and value. While Chiron is not categorised as a planet, contemporary astrologers use this celestial maverick to understand a depth of the human experience not revealed by the other planetary energies. Chiron represents what is disenfranchised and marginal. Being in the 2nd house it suggests that your experience of financial and material security may have been alien to you in your earlier years. Financial hardship or insecurity may have left its wound on feeling resourceful or valued. However the opposite could also be true of this placement; financial wealth and prosperity may have left you feeling an outsider. This archetypal presence in your life suggests that you might feel marginal to other's values, especially the familial values you inherited. In turn this affects your attitudes towards money and security.

However this archetype has woven itself into the fabric of your life, it suggests that in the realm of finances, money, income and resources you have felt outside the system and this feels like a wound you need to heal. On a psychological level this suggests that familial values may have damaged your sense of personal worth and value and influenced your vocational direction. Earning your living and finding your place in the world will be part of your healing process. Therefore it is important to reflect on your vocational urges and attitudes towards money to uncover the patterns that may contribute to your feeling impoverished. Ironically Chiron suggests that you will be masterful at helping others recover their sense of personal power and self esteem. Therefore it is possible that you will feel compelled to help others who feel disadvantaged or volunteer for working with the underprivileged.

While you may feel handicapped in your own way, destiny has placed you in the path of others who need your guidance, wisdom and support. Therefore it is possible that you could earn your living working with refugees, the homeless, the disabled or social work vocations which aid the underprivileged and the outcast. Vocationally you could also be drawn to a myriad of holistic healing professions or alternate healing practices, which attempt to work with body and mind. Or at some point you might earn income using other new age healing modalities life channelling and Reiki as well as time honoured traditions such as dream therapy or astrology that use imagery and symbols as a healing tool. Chiron was also a mentor and teacher and therefore is also connected with mentoring professions such as counsellors, mentors, inspirational teachers and guides. This aspect of your horoscope suggests that earning your income and developing an authentic and appropriate relationship to money and the material world be a healing boon for you.

Nodes

NorthNode in Aquarius

You have the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo, indicating that you have a well-developed sense of self. Underlying your personality is self-assurance that you are loved, but in order to deeply know this to be true your vocation will lead you into the community. Your invitation is to join the human race and develop your humanitarianism. You might beat a loud drum but now it needs to be in the context of a collective parade. Become a friend to others and you will find that you shine brighter than ever. Stepping away from your own creative pursuits into the community actually provides the best venue possible for your talents and creativity. You are an original, a classic as they say. But your ample charisma and abundant charm must be aligned with community concerns before you can feel purposeful and appreciated. Ironically you become the star of the show when you are the producer focusing on the needs of the group. You find your heart's desire through the lighting of the communal fires and not solely your own. Behind the scenes is where you are the star of the show

Humanitarian ideals are an important aspect of any vocation. However your vocational ideals may lead you into an involvement in humanitarian pursuits or organisations and companies, sympathetic to humanitarian, ecological or animal concerns. While individualism is of high importance in your vocation you also need tribal and social interaction, intellectual stimulation and personal interchange in your work. You need to express its individuality in the work sector and feel unique and independent in what they do. Therefore it is the vocations that are different, even marginal that you may be drawn to. You are not afraid of being on the fringe when you tap into that confidence that you have inherited. If your working atmosphere is too rigid, authoritative or emotionally demanding then you will rebel either through shock tactics, acting out or simply leaving. You need to feel unrestrained in your occupation and work best in a democratic structure than a hierarchical one

You need social involvement to feel successful, but this does not necessarily mean you need to attach, in fact you probably are happier at work when you are non-attached. Therefore in a work environment you appreciate the social interaction but do not necessarily develop deeper emotional bonds. The more space you have on your vocational path, the more effectible you become. Without space in your working lives you might feel frantic and suffocated. When you draw on your reserves of self-confidence and conviction in your talents you are able to create an open ticket in your vocational pursuits.

Aspects

Sun Hard Pluto

The road to achieving your life goals is going to be tough because the Sun is making a difficult aspect to the planet Pluto in your birth chart. On a positive note you're a powerful and ambitious person, who enjoys rising to a challenge. You enjoy tackling difficult tasks, particularly the projects which other people have put in the too-hard basket. You're likely to succeed where others have failed, but the path will be strewn with obstacles. It could be circumstances which stand in your way. Perhaps your childhood was difficult, failing to provide you with the support needed for a successful adult life. It's possible that a dominant father figure blocked your success, perhaps even abusing himself or you in the process. As a result you're likely to experience strong emotions, possibly anger, when you reflect on your experiences. You can be explosive and unpredictable and have trouble controlling your emotions, feeling that the world is opposing your deepest wishes. Your challenge is to be powerful in the most positive sense of the word. This way you achieve your life goals without causing too much damage on the way!

;*Explanation

Sun Hard Moon

When the Sun and the Moon are combining unfavourably in your chart, it means that you're likely to have difficulty succeeding in life. You may have trouble in money matters, struggle with employment, and suffer at the hands of other people. You should be particularly wary of troublesome women, who could create obstacles to you achieving your goals. In some cases, this combination can also mean that you suffer from ill health, which further hinders your chances of success.

Sun Soft Saturn

The Sun is making contact with the planet Saturn in your chart indicating that you're responsible and reliable. Life is a serious business, and you're likely to adhere to the adage that "you get from life what you put into it". This is particularly true for the areas of work and career, which are important to you. You're ambitious and have the self discipline to succeed in your chosen profession. It's likely that you will have the chance to take on responsibilities and prove yourself successful at some stage in your life, although you're more likely to rise to the challenge as you grow older. Life could have been somewhat onerous as a child, and you could have difficulty getting started on the right path. Once you've settled on your goals then you've the common sense and self-confidence to work consistently towards successfully achieving your ambitions. It's likely that your father has played a major role in your life either through his imposing presence or through his absence. Your father may have earned your fear or respect leaving his mark on your character. Your father's guidance may also have helped or hindered your progress in life. Either way he's been a significant influence in your life. It's also possible that you took on extra responsibilities at a young age, because of your father's inability to live up to his responsibilities. This could have been as a result of your father's own weaknesses or an illness, or separation or even death. While you believe that certain experiences are "character building", you may have some difficulty coming to terms with the lasting effects of your relationship with your father. Perhaps in latter years you will gain understanding from your experiences.

Moon Hard Neptune

The Moon is making a difficult aspect to the planet Neptune in your birth chart indicating that you've a sensitive nature, and are prone to spending long periods of time in solitude in the safety of your home. Sometimes you thoroughly enjoy your own company, but at other times you can feel somewhat despondent and confused, tired and caught in a web of inexplicable emotions. The problem may be that you're unrealistic in your expectations of yourself and your loved ones, idealising them only to be disillusioned when they fail to live up to your expectations. A more realistic approach can be helpful. You're often confused about your direction in life, wondering if you'll ever fulfil your dreams. Your home needs to be your haven from the world because you feel overwhelmed by the harsh realities of the world, and you need to shut away. If this isn't possible then it's likely that you'll be distressed. Depending on other influences in your chart it's possible that you spend long periods living in a fantasy world. Family members may have stories about your daydreaming ways as a child, which continue well into adulthood. It's also possible that your loved ones feel the need to bring you back down to earth, believing that this will help you cope with the world. Nevertheless you have learned to trust your own instincts, telling you of a need to escape somewhere to dream, even if it's only one room. In this case a room with a beautiful view would definitely appeal to your aesthetic nature. It's likely that your relationship with your mother, grandmother, or an important woman, has played a key role in your life, positively or negatively. On the negative side it's possible that this mother figure demanded that you ignore your sensitive nature, turning your back on your artistic and spiritual gifts. On the other hand perhaps she cosseted you as a child and adolescent, fanning your unrealistic view of the world. Another scenario could have been that your mother was unwell, or regularly adopted a victim-like approach to life, which forced you into the role of caretaker at a young age. Whatever the scenario in your childhood, the outcome is likely to be your own struggle to face your responsibilities while still finding time for your spiritual, artistic, or contemplative needs. It's possible that this same woman, or another woman, could have encouraged you to develop the imaginative side of your nature. Perhaps this woman had artistic or spiritual gifts, or encouraged your own talents. Whatever the scenario, it's likely that you've an idealised or distorted picture in your mind of this woman, which affects your adult relationships with your loved ones. Your lesson is to learn to balance your needs for artistry, spiritual pursuits or moments of quiet contemplation with the practical, and very-real, demands of the mundane. This is when you are most likely to appreciate the soothing nature of your home. Your house may also be a restful haven for your loved ones, because you've a flair for creating a peaceful environment. You've the ability to listen with sensitivity to other people's problems and plans, or to create a beautiful environment with artistic ornaments, soothing music and indoor plants and flowers. Perhaps you also have artistic talents, which can be displayed in your home. You may find a great sense of satisfaction in living close to water, or surrounded by nature.

Moon Soft Pluto

The Moon and the planet Pluto are connected in your birth chart indicating that you're an intense and emotional person, prone to extreme highs and lows. You love drama and intensity, because these give you a sense of being deeply connected to your loved ones, and to the world. It's likely that your family and home life are periodically emotionally volcanic. This can be problematic if other members of your family don't desire the same level of intensity, particularly if they're seeking peace and quiet at home. If this is the case your needs are directly opposed to your loved ones', which may not concern you, but could result in dramatic changes in your personal life. This is also a problem because you've a deep sense of commitment to your personal relationships, and feel betrayed if others don't share this commitment. It's likely that your need for emotional intensity originates from an early childhood experience, probably linked with your mother or another strong woman figure. Your relationship with your mother is likely to be immersed with intense feelings, perhaps even stemming from a life-or-death situation. You may feel positively or negatively about your mother. Either way your feelings are likely to be strong. You're a resourceful person, and can rely on your own resources to solve most problems. You need to find a creative outlet for your intense nature, some thing that will totally absorb your attention. Perhaps you would enjoy property development, or renovating your house. You're a powerful person with leadership skills, and a need for a challenge.

Moon Hard Saturn

Much of your adult life has been spent trying to overcome the difficulties that you faced as a child in your home and family. Astrologically speaking this is because the planet Saturn is contacting the Moon in your birth chart. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Saturn had a malefic influence in a person's chart. In your case your early home life has been adversely affected. The extent of this effect depends largely on other influences in your chart. In some cases it can mean that your childhood home lacked spontaneity and warmth, but was well-organised and structured in a manner which helped you to feel supported and safe. However, it's more likely that circumstances in your family led to you feeling that home was a cold and unsupportive environment. This could have been one painful incident such as the loss of a family member, or it could have been the result of years of hardship. It's possible that one of your parents, perhaps your mother, was a strict and severe influence, unable to show you the affection that you felt you deserved. As a result it's likely that you're somewhat shy as an adult, lacking in self-confidence and sensitive to criticism. You may be emotionally reserved. Perhaps you have chosen at some stage in your life to live in solitude rather than risk the lack of affection and warmth that you felt as a child. As you grow older and work on your self-esteem you can build a lasting maturity. You develop an inner self-confidence which helps you build firm foundations in your life and achieve your ambitions, as well as loving family relationships. You work solidly to build yourself a secure and firm footing, earning the respect of those around you. You can succeed in business and in your career, particularly through being noticed by your superiors. You may also benefit through investments in land and property.

Moon Opposition Neptune

During this period you are more sensitive to other people and your surroundings. For this reason you may feel confused. Your former goals may have lost some of their meaning. Try not to be too concerned. You simply need to slow down, rest and reflect on some important aspects of your life. As part of this process you may feel the urge to take part in creative, spiritual or artistic pursuits. These can be a valuable means of exploring your feelings, but don't let yourself be carried away. You are vulnerable right now and need to avoid making lifelong commitments. It is a time for exploration rather than obligation. Your dream life may also be more active, as you tune in to your intuitive nature. Dreams may be more vivid, carrying messages for your waking life. Your perceptions and goals are changing in subtle ways. You need to avoid making decisions that require logic. Preferably you should learn to listen to your intuition. If in doubt then take your time before making life-changing decisions. This is a time to gently explore the more subtle realms of life, rather than forge ahead with definitive goals. You are rather like the butterfly that is emerging from the cocoon. Try not to force the process, but rather take your time and enjoy the new emerging you. As a result you will discover new depths and meanings that colour your life in significant ways.

Mercury Hard Moon

You need to take care in your communications and education because of the unfavourable combination of the Moon and the Planet Mercury. You've a sharp mind and a quick wit, but unfortunately you've a tendency to gossip and be sarcastic rather than put your skills to good use. In some cases this combination can also highlight a tendency to dishonesty and worry. Of course you're worried, because you can only judge other people by your own standards and these may not be very high! Of course much of this depends on other influences in your birth chart. On a positive note you can turn your mind to your studies and to improving your communication skills.

Venus Conjunction Neptune

It is time for reflection rather than action. Artistic events, spiritual retreats and sojourns in nature are ideal for contemplative stage of your life. You are likely to have romantic notions right now. Let your imagination run wild. Indulge in a little daydreaming and avoid making life-changing decisions. Contracts, both business and personal, are best let alone because you are not in a practical mode - quite the opposite. Cast off as many responsibilities as is reasonable in your current circumstances and take pleasure in this creative and romantic phase. The more that you can relax and enjoy this phase the more you will feel rested and rejuvenated for the next phase. You may even discover a latent talent.

Venus Soft Pluto

The combination of the planets Venus and Pluto in your chart indicate that you enjoy commitment and challenge in your personal relationships. Unlike many other people, you're not afraid to make the necessary changes demanded within close relationships. In fact you prefer change, especially if the alternative is a staid and steady relationship. You like to be consumed with love and passion, and are happiest when with a partner who feels the same way. You can be disappointed when others fail to soar to great emotional heights and plummet the emotional depths by your side. You want intensity, perhaps even a little drama, in your primary relationship. You're fiercely loyal and committed, and expect as much from your partner. Problems can arise when you don't feel a strong bond with your partner, or if that bond is threatened, particularly by another person. You're a jealous person, and quite capable of seeking revenge when wronged. You need to be careful to choose the right person as your primary partner - someone who reciprocates your love and passion. Otherwise you can waste a lot of time and energy trying to make a doomed relationship work. You may also benefit from directing some of your energy into an all-consuming project, such as fighting for human rights or an intensely creative pursuit.

Venus Hard Moon

You're likely to experience problems in your relationships, particularly your relationships with women. This is because of the difficult combination of the Moon and the planet Venus in your chart. On the one hand you could tend to take your relationships for granted, spending little time or effort on improving yourself or your friendships. As a result you're likely to be somewhat unpopular and lose face. If you're looking for favours from your friends, or for a satisfactory primary relationship, then you need to take stock and improve your attitude. On the other hand it's also possible that your friends tend to take you for granted. On a more positive note you enjoy the company of other people, and may benefit through your relationships with women, but probably only with some effort on your behalf.

Mars Conjunction Neptune

Imagination, intuition and relaxation are all key words that can be applied to your life right now. It is not a time to take on extra responsibilities. Instead you should take some time out and take a vacation by the ocean or in the middle of the countryside. If you cannot get away from your responsibilities at work then perhaps an evening art or meditation class would be more feasible. You need to spend more time in spiritual, artistic and philanthropic pursuits. As a result your imagination and creativity can blossom. If you do not slow down then you may feel lethargic or lack motivation and wonder why. Listen to your intuition and dare to dream.

Mars Hard Jupiter

The planets Mars and Jupiter are combining in your chart indicating that your hasty judgement can sometimes land you in hot water. You've plenty of motivation to achieve your goals, but lack proper judgement and discernment so that you miscalculate the amount of time and energy needed. You're careless and impulsive, and need to be careful of accidents which are a result of you rushing around and trying to achieve too much. The motto "you're your own worst enemy" could be one for you to reflect upon. Depending on other aspects in your chart you're also excessive in your generosity. You need to develop self discipline as your impulsiveness may be an impediment to reaching your goals. On a more positive note you're a lively and resourceful person, who delights in good health and keeping busy. Any course of action is entered into with confidence and determination to succeed, which you're likely to do despite the obstacles. You certainly know how to get yourself and other people motivated, and can make a good leader or manager. You may be particularly keen to travel, enjoying the stimulation of visiting other venues. You could direct your energy to achievement in sports, politics or travel. Once you have learnt to manage your resources you can achieve many of your goals.

Jupiter Hard Uranus

The planets Jupiter and Uranus are making a difficult aspect in your chart indicating that your unusual approach to achieving your goals can sometimes land you in hot water! You're keen to change things in this world because you can see where traditional methods have failed. You see no reason to continue with out-moded traditions, preferring unconventional and new ideas. The trouble is that at times you lack tact and diplomacy. You're impatient to see results, not realising that your very impatience is jeopardising your success. Repeatedly throughout your life, experience is likely to teach you that success isn't an overnight accomplishment. Results don't always come quickly. Perhaps you could remind yourself of the motto "all good things come to those who wait". It's worth persevering with your goals and taking a positive approach to overcoming the obstacles in your life. You can achieve a great deal in the world through your innovative and unusual methods. You may also benefit by joining with like-minded individuals, perhaps in the fields of metaphysics, unorthodox religion or science.

Jupiter Hard Pluto

The planets Jupiter and Pluto are making a difficult aspect in your birth chart indicating that you've some difficulty achieving your life goals, but you will get to where you want in the end. The problem is that you reject the usual paths to success, believing that you've a better way of doing things. Your attempts to change the rules, or to try to make others agree with your insights, are sincere, but intrusive. As a result you often land yourself in troublesome situations, which can lead to disillusionment and distract you from your purpose. This can dent your confidence. You range from over confidence to completely lacking in confidence. The truth lies somewhere in between. Society has rules to run itself efficiently, and these can be to your benefit rather than detriment. Once you accept your own and society's limitations then you can achieve your objectives.

Saturn conjunct Neptune

With Saturn Conjunct Neptune, you experience a profound interaction between Kafziel and Tamiel. Kafziel is the Angel of memory, solitude, and tears. Together these Angels put you on the path of personal integrity as surely as you follow one thought with another.

Your slow growth of understanding could be seen as a weakness. However, your path is one of steady, almost certain forward progress. You analyze and consider each decision and each new idea. In this way every step is firm and solid, not tentative or half-hearted.

Intelligent activity becomes part of your nature. Intelligent activity involves the skillful use and application of knowledge, so you must first gain knowledge before you can apply it effectively. Kafziel and Tamiel work in concert in your life by first supplying the means to learn, and then aiding your mind through dreams or visualizations of how to use the information you have gained.

As you allow your Angels into your life, you gain the capacity to maintain hope in the face of seeming disaster. You discover that even in the most difficult circumstances, you have Angelic protection, and you can find a way to work your way out of the problem.

These Angels help you learn how to manage pain. When you or someone else experience severe physical or emotional pain, your Angels provide the means for relieving its severity, as well as providing the path to resolving it altogether.

Zadkiel and Tamiel provide dreams to help you through life's difficulties. You have tenacity of spirit, and your Angels support its use. Sometimes you will have a conscious idea, and you work step by step to make that dream a reality. Other times dreams provide very direct messages about your life. Either way, your mental strength is a special ally throughout your life.

Saturn Soft Pluto

The combination of the planets Saturn and Pluto in your chart suggests that you're an ambitious, insightful and powerful person. You're likely to make a powerful impact on your friends, family, colleagues and loved ones, both as a child and an adult. At times you might be surprised by the extent of other people's reactions to your presence and opinions. You may even surprise yourself by your own reactions to some circumstances. Authority is likely to be a continuing source of difficulty in your life, as you attempt to find the right balance between your own individual rights, and those of the community. Of course there are many instances when these two rights coincide, but you're more likely to find yourself involved in the clashes, perhaps as a mediator. It's possible that you could become involved in someone's power struggles, in which your role may or may not be central to the outcome. It's true that you've the ability to be a powerful leader, perhaps in the government or armed forces, or as an executive or politician. You can be a powerful leader, but first you must learn to use your unique insights for positive purposes. The 19th Century author John Stuart Mill said in his work On Liberty (1859) that: "Everyone who desires power, desires it most over those who are nearest to him, with whom his life is passed, with whom he has most concerns in common, and in whom any independence of his authority is oftenest likely to interfere with his individual preferences". Herein lies a key to your chart. You've the ability to succeed in your ambitions, but first you must learn how to deal with the balance of power in your life, respecting both your own and other people's rights to succeed.

Uranus conjunct Neptune

With Uranus Conjunct Neptune, you experience a profound interaction between Zadkiel and Tamiel. Zadkiel is the Angel of Death, and Tamiel of Dreams. Together they extend your understanding of the nature of life and its limits. They also reveal the many ways you can change your life through skillful action.

You have a natural love of ritual. You find, when you think about it, that ritual pervades everything you do. You get along with other people very well because you observe the steps of ritual, entering into each conversation, activity, or association according to socially or culturally defined rules, and in so doing you put other people at ease without undue fuss or bother.

You can develop subconscious talents through conscious expression. In concert with your Angels, you express little pieces of your subconscious awareness in conversation or action. As you do this, you affirm your less conscious abilities and honor them and your Angels. Then your mind is better able to provide ideas and feelings to aid your work.

Inspired idealism may not be what you think you have been looking for, but you are certain to find it eventually. Your Angels send you dreams and ideas all the time, and you have only to pay attention to them. Your idealism provides a foundation for you to help others who experience major disasters or transformations in their lives. When you or others experience loss, your Angels are ready and willing to lift you up.

A potential weakness is the lack of stamina. Physical exercise to build lung capacity and muscle strength is well worth the effort. The physical strength you gain provides a foundation for emotional and spiritual strength.

For mental strength, meditation or yoga provide an organized practice. Kundalini yoga provides a medium for mental focus as well as physical exercise, building all the structures you need to support your developing psychic awareness.

Another possible weakness of structure could lead to high blood pressure and its associated ailments. The above mentioned exercise, meditation, and yoga all serve to reduce blood pressure and strengthen the system so as to avoid dangers of stroke and heart ailments.

Heightened psychic states including clairvoyance are the norm for this combination.

Neptune Soft Pluto

The planets Neptune and Pluto both move slowly through the zodiac, and therefore any connection between the two planets affects birth charts for a short period of time. You were born in such a time. This combination in your chart means that you're interested in opportunities to bring about fundamental change to human values. You are aware of injustices in society and, depending on other influences in your chart, may prefer to fight against them rather than sit back and accept the ills of society. Your creative urges may be linked to politics, or expressing your political views through the arts or spiritual or charitable organisations.

Neptune quincunx Ascendant

With Neptune forming a quincunx to your Ascendant, you experience repeated instances where you must adapt to circumstances. Your Angels are always present to support you in deciding what adjustments are necessary for yourself or for the people around you. You often feel that spiritual guidance is immediately present, and that you don't even have to seek it at all!

You are susceptible to influence from the environment and other people, and you benefit from meditation and affirmations that your Angels are always with you. As you practice contacting your Angels, you find that you can identify and choose the most promising opportunities quickly and easily, and thus benefit from them more fully.

You have a natural capacity to channel or to use other psychic skills. If you open yourself to any and all energies, you may feel drained or even assaulted by negativity. Instead, you can enlist the help of your Angels to develop suitable 'shields,' so that positive influences come into your sphere easily, while destructive energies are rebuffed before they can affect your emotions or physical body.

Your imagination can be used for storytelling, music, or creative arts of all kinds. Your talent flows from a deep well of spiritual energy, and your Angels aid you be keeping the flow steady and constant. Even when you cannot come up with a good idea, your Angels are at work building the next idea for you.

Your devotion to other people is noteworthy. As you develop your own protection, you find that you can extend yourself to others by choice, and you discover your energy is virtually limitless.

Pluto sextile Neptune

With Pluto Sextile Neptune, your life is enriched with opportunities presented by the Angels Metatron and Tamiel. Metatron has been called the King of Angels and the Chief of the Ministering Angels. This Angel is thought to be the pillar of fire the Jews followed in their exodus from Egypt. He is a certain link between you and the divine. Metatron's association with Tamiel, the Angel of Primordial Energies, is extremely powerful.

You undoubtedly experience supernatural events and conditions during your life. Your Angels provide this resource and can help you refine it. Psychic impressions and intuition become second nature to you after a while. You learn to act on intuition in much the same way you would act on advice from your accountant.

One facet of the path of personal integrity for you involves purification of your soul. This means elevating your thoughts above petty jealousy and anger. While you may never overcome negative thinking entirely, working with your Angels will lift you up, step by step, to thoughts of compassion and love. Love overcomes fear and compassion overcomes hatred.

One possible expression of this aspect of your birth chart is that you have at least one extrasensory ability. At first you may experience some confusion in interpreting psychic and intuitive information as it comes to you. You are likely to overcome this confusion once you develop the necessary comprehension of your abilities and thus develop your psychic skills. Meditation each day allows your Angels to contact you more directly to help in this area.

You have the power of a storyteller combined with the wisdom of a seer. You could write fiction or dramatic scripts, and your poetry can become the liquid fire of inspiration and soothing balm for the soul.

Chiron opposition Mars

With Chiron opposition Mars, you have a deep wound that makes you feel the need to fight. How it manifests, what battles you choose depends first of all on how much you have been able to heal. For the need to fight was brought on very young, perhaps because you felt unjustly accused of something, perhaps because it was the only way to get what you felt was rightfully yours, perhaps because you felt attacked. In any case, there are some very deep wounds here, and a lot of pain and pent up anger (or even rage).

Whatever the cause, the Houses that these two bodies fall into on your chart will show where some of your greatest battles come from in life. The sign Mars falls in will describe your fighting style, while the sign Chiron is in will describe the type of situations that make you feel like fighting. One way you can tell that you are experiencing pent up anger from the old wound is if someone ‘touches your buttons’, and the anger you feel seems way out of proportion to what the situation should warrant. You need to work on this anger, find ways to release it (sports, for example, or chopping wood, or other physical activity, or therapy), as difficult as it may seem, learn to forgive those who hurt you. You don’t have to forget to heal, but you must find a way to forgive.

As you heal from your wounds, you feel motivated to go all out to fight for those less fortunate, or for those oppressed. But until you have begun the healing path, this fighter instinct may simply manifest as a strong feeling that you can improve your life by fighting. Some situations warrant fighting, of course, but healing for you is also learning how to choose your battles, and choose when not to fight.

There are major lessons to be learned here about your masculine side (whether you are male or female, you have both an anima and an animus), which hopefully, you have learned a good bit of early in life. If not, there may develop an overpowering need to assert the self, to the point that the overcompensation distorts your lifestyle.

One of the major lessons that you must learn is to be adaptable, to try new methods when they come along to experiment. Somehow, you were deeply wounded in a way that made you feel you needed to stick to a particular method of doing things, or at the very least, there is a fear of going in to uncharted waters.

So the lesson is that there are definitely times to go off in new directions, and when you learn this, the healing has begun. Some learn it early in life while others apparently never learn it.

Until the lesson is learned, the following is a common sequence of events: you find some method that works, some plan of action, but then tend to use it continually, getting into a rut (habit). After this goes on for a while, Chiron comes along and throws a wrench into the process, the success formula doesn’t work anymore, or it produces negative results. When this occurs, you may fall down, and fall hard! Even when you don’t actually fall, you are definitely thrown off-balance, and must reorient yourself. At this point in time, depending on how you have evolved past the wound, you will usually choose one of three alternatives.

1. Make an adjustment, and then go back to some routine method of doing things. If this approach is chosen you will once again have to go through the same process in the future, and again each time you refuse to learn. Eventually, this repeated stress can have an influence on the health, producing stress-related ills.

2. Learn part of the lesson. If this is the case, you learn the virtues of trying new methods, new ways of doing things, but not the ‘why’ of the lesson. You might begin to revel in each new method. You may seek out and try to experience every new act that can be found, every new experience and sensation that exists, perhaps even inventing brand new ones. If you continue along this course you will still be confronted with Chiron throwing a wrench into the act, but you will see it as just one more new experience, or as a temporary setback. Continued long enough, there is a danger of going to excess with destructive results.

3. You rise above your past wound, and learn to be adaptable. You learn to try new things, and learn to discriminate, so that you also know when the old methods are still valid. You use new ways of doing things when the time is right. You thus build up a broad repertoire of methods and experiences to draw upon, and will be seen by others as extremely resourceful and multi-talented. Should you turn this great personal energy towards helping others, you will find a knack for coming up with the right solution for each individual problem, and often have uncanny insight into what makes people tick. You welcome each new experience, seeing it as a means, not an end.

Chiron opposition Uranus

Between 1952 and 1989 Chiron exactly opposed Uranus forty-one times, and was in orb of opposition for just about everyone born during those 47 years. Thus, it is more of a generational influence than an individual one.

Historically, you can see that this aspect is tied into the accelerated pace of scientific advancement during the second half of the Twentieth Century. Actually, one of the problems is that science is making discoveries faster than they can be integrated into society; even faster than proper safeguards can be devised for our protection from side effects and from the discoveries themselves.

This same ‘vibration’ is, in many ways, a part of the nature of individuals who have this aspect. There is a thirst for the new, for discovery, for experiences, that often outweighs the taking of any precautions. Others dare not try to curtail your freedom, the consequences may not be pleasant. The urge for independence can be so strong that it can create difficulties in relationships. The only relationships that truly last for someone with this aspect is one where each person is given a lot of space to be themselves, in truth, it is difficult to find someone sufficiently secure to give a partner that much freedom. It does give a real spirit, though.

The wound of the whole generation, though, can be summed up in the words, ‘fallen heroes’. For thousands of years, people had heroes to worship, people to look up to as almost godlike. But this generation has seen all of its heroes fall, or show very unheroic sides, or in one way or another, prove they are just like everyone else. As a result, your generation has had a wound that each person must learn to heal in his/her own way, but the lesson is to become one’s own hero to become the person you would like to look up to and respect.

Chiron trine Pluto

The wound of this aspect has to do with being doubted, being questioned. “Are you sure you thought this through?” Davy Crockett used to say, “Be sure you’re right, then go ahead” That could be your catch-phrase.

Because of this, you are most likely not quick to form an opinion. You want to deliberate first, which is often a good thing. But one of the dangers of this aspect is that once you have chosen what you feel is the right approach, it can be nearly impossible for anyone to get you to change your mind.

As you can imagine, this trait can be both positive and negative, depending on the situation. One of the most positive expressions of this aspect is that over a period of time, those who have it impress people with their personal convictions and their ability to remain true to themselves. There is usually a definite awareness of subtle intricacies in situations, details the average person is likely to miss.

But one of the most negative is that, because you are human, and therefore not perfect, you are not always right when you ‘are sure that you are’, and so may close your eyes and ears to advice of others who try to let you know you have erred.

Chiron opposition Neptune

If you have Chiron opposition Neptune you are part of a small, select group of people, born either between 1900–1901, or 1988–1990. It is a difficult aspect.

People who have this aspect seem to be convinced that the reality they were brought up to believe in is not quite right, that the ideals they were taught to strive for are not those that really will make them happy. Or, that the general image of the universe taught them is not correct, that it has holes or inaccuracies in it.

What this created in you is a deep inner discontent, one that leads you to search for a true, clear picture of the universe, or for something to believe in that is lasting and will bring you true inner peace.
