You are person who truly wants to change the world in some way, although you may or may not ever do anything about it. This urge stems from something very subjective, your wound has forced you to go through at least one, but usually several major changes in your self-image and sense of purpose. Any Chiron square throws the other body off balance, and often, so that the person must make time to re-establish the balance.

Most likely, the wound stemmed from your relationship with your father, or other male role model. Perhaps you never could understand what your parent expected of you, what they expected you to be or how they wanted you to behave, and so no matter what you did, you never received their approval to help you feel good about yourself. Or perhaps you were made to feel that you had to stay in the background, that your parent was much more important than you. No matter what, you developed into an adult with a poor sense of who you are and your potential. Once you have learned to leave a sense of ‘ultimate purpose’ open to change, and have learned that your self-image must be allowed to adapt through new circumstances, you then begin to thrill in self-discovery and in discovering more about the universe. With any Chiron trine, the deep wound is a battle between growing versus following a particular path and getting stuck. With Jupiter, it is in the realm of beliefs, and philosophies, as well as in understanding how other people think.

Part of the problem lies in the early years of life. You had experiences both good and bad that forced revision of your belief system. The experiences came from the most unexpected directions from areas where you assumed you knew pretty much all there was to know. These experiences made you learn quickly about other people, what makes them tick and what others believe. In this learning, you may frequently get remarkable insights, but there is a tendency too often of taking them for granted after a while. In this there is a hazard by taking insights for granted, you tend to feel free to use these insights any way you want. What is more, no one is perfect, so your insights may not always be on the mark but the tendency is to not question them. (When they are right, this is no problem, but when they are not, there can be serious consequences.)

On a more positive note, this aspect enables you to catch even the smallest nuance of any situation, or of a person’s behaviour, and make good use of what is perceived. In the arts, or communication, you can use this ability to make others see themselves or some very specific aspect of themselves.

Chiron trine Venus

This aspect gives you a unique style, your own manner of expression, which can truly be said to be one-of-a-kind. One of Venus’ areas is the aesthetic sense, and yours is unique, and can be said to be quite different from that of the average person. You are able, for example, to see beauty in places that others do not, and you find it very difficult to appreciate superficial beauty. Being different in this way may have caused you some anguish growing up, as you may have been ridiculed or even ostracized.

As an adult, you continue to have your own perception of beauty, but healing from the wound for you is, at least in part, being able to use the emotions and feelings you experienced as creative tools. Many with this aspect try their hand at some form of artistic expression, and whether only for yourself, or on a larger scale, you should be doing this as well, as it will help you to heal and share your unique perceptions with others.

A very positive effect of this aspect is that you are able to focus on things others miss, or things people take for granted, and see the beauty there. If you choose to go into the arts in some manner, your style of expression has that ‘little something extra’ that can make your creations truly memorable.

Another side to this aspect is that, as a child, you were not allowed to bemoan your fate, to suffer all the way through your pains. You were expected to bounce back, to not let things get to you. Part of healing your wound here is to go back and experience your pains again, and work your way all the way through them to connect with them to heal. But this aspect did develop within you an innate ability to bounce back, whether from a minor setback or a major one and when you do you come back having learned a great deal and become a stronger person, as well. These experiences not only teach you, but they give you the knowledge to teach other people who are going through similar experiences how to get through them.

Chiron conjunct Pluto

If you have Chiron conjunct Pluto you are part of a small, select group of people, born either in 1941, or during 1999–2000. These two bodies have a connection; Joyce Mason called them ‘The Comet Brothers’ because they share many qualities of a comet nucleus, waiting to transform into a full-fledged comet.

Pluto’s urge to bring about total transformation is focused through Chiron, giving you a highly specific area where you feel transformation must occur. The natal House where this conjunction falls is where you will concentrate this powerful urge for transmutation.

This aspect is a powerful push on you to evolve, to become more, and to grow. But human nature being what it is, you must not let yourself be drawn to the darker side of your nature and have the urge to take control of everything (and everyone) around you; try and determine how change ‘for the better’can be manifested.

As you follow the path to grow, and transform yourself, you develop the focus of a symbolic laser, enabling you to cut away that which has lost its value; then taking what is left, rearranging it and making it work in a brand new way, unlike anything that has gone before. Chiron trine Mercury

One lesson this aspect taught you, early in life, is that no one is perfect that even our greatest heroes are human beings with faults. This aspect enables you to deal with people more as they really are, without any of the comparison of self to others that most people go through neither worshipping another as being a god, nor looking down on another as being inferior.

What is more, you are very good at making others see themselves as being very human as well. If you are responding to the wound of Chiron, however, you are quite capable of bringing others down by knowing their weaknesses. But as you heal from the wound, the ability is transformed, and you are then capable of showing others their own weaknesses if you feel that doing so will better enable them to evolve. By recognizing your own humanity, and that of others, you are much better able to help people work towards becoming more whole.

Of course, not everyone with this aspect becomes a healer. But the ability is there, and can be tapped, with care. There are many avenues of positive expression for this aspect.

Because you truly see no one as inferior, you can work well with people who have emotional or mental problems, or other handicaps. In any communication-related field you can come across as a fellow human being, and thus reach others because they are easily accepted. In addition, this aspect does give originality to the thinking, and the realization that we should take no idea, no process for granted. It was probably someone with this aspect who came up with the saying, ‘If you assume, you make an ASS of U and Me.’.

Chiron sextile Neptune

This aspect instilled in you a real longing for a ‘Utopia’, and your definition of Utopia is shaped by the sign of your Neptune, in Virgo it is healing the world’s pains, and of you finding the perfect way to be of service to others; in Libra it is a place of peace, harmony, and finding your other half; or in Aquarius, a place of brotherhood, a better future, and where you are able to truly express your unique self.
