Birth Chart Report for Osip Mandelstam
Your Sun Sign
Sun in Capricorn
From the beginning of life you might have felt responsible, not just for yourself, but for the people and environment around you. With your Sun in Capricorn you have a heightened sense of what is right and wrong, even perhaps an over-developed sense of guilt. Like the mountain goat whose gaze is on the pinnacle of the mountain, your peak represents the summit of excellence always striving to reach the highest point in yourself. Being so acutely aware of what should be done and what constitutes an offence, you endeavour to always do the right thing, and can often feel inadequate or ill equipped to succeed. Nothing could be farther from the truth, and over the course of time your success is revealed through hard work, dedication and commitment. Time is your ally.
Most present-day portrayals of Capricorn suggest they play by the rule book. And this is true to a certain degree. Ultimately the rule book that you want to adhere to is your own, yet often you may end up with a weak authority figure steering the organisation in an impossible direction. One of the designs that often show up in the tapestry of your life is woven by a string of unskilled or inefficient authority figures- teachers, bosses, and managers, even paid professionals! Often you are more proficient with a higher level of comprehension of the job than your boss or service provider. This is your challenge to become your own boss and strive for excellence without the impediment of a system that does share similar values. Yet this takes time to figure out.
Time, quality, excellence and distinction are all hallmarks of your character. You know how to preserve and contain things of value. Responsibility is your great virtue. This suggests response-ability or the ability to respond. In other words you need to support yourself authentically from within, becoming the authority or author of your own life script, not living out of someone else's program. Capricorn is old in its wisdom, but youthful as well, since it has the time to grow into itself.
Your honourable traits such as commitment, dedication and perseverance help to support you in gaining autonomy from the system you feel bound to. You have a strong work ethic and integrity shaped by your innate responsibility to whatever you are doing or whomever you are with. Therefore you are never free of a system, but hopefully free from the systems that no longer support or acknowledge you. In this way you are freer to pursue your own vocational path and not one already earmarked for you. It is important for you to be self-reliant but not exclusively so, as you also need to be responsible to something in the world, be it a project, a task, a baby, a book! Therefore it is not uncommon for you to find yourself as the managing director of your corporation, the president of your golf club, the principal of your school or at the top of the ladder. But your satisfaction comes not from being the supervisor of others, but by being the boss of yourself. Having learnt the lesson of inner authority and personal responsibility you can be liberated enough to feel acknowledged within the system. To find your vitality and spirit and to feel soulful in the world, you need to strive to be committed, reliable and respectful of tradition. Your efficiency, practicality and work ethic are your guiding lights.
Your Moon Sign
Moon in Aries
With your Moon in Aries your need for independence and exploration is high and this applies to your vocation as well. You need to feel free enough to make your own decisions, feeling challenged and motivated by the tasks of life. Therefore in caring for the soul you need to find the courage of your convictions to follow your own course. Being active and physical is important for you, as you feel more alive through exertion and drive. Instinctually you respond quickly to situations. Able to think on your feet and be in the moment you may be well suited to work in critical situations, depending on other aspects of your birth chart. These handy responses may allow you to be adept at a variety of mechanical, technological and electrical trades. If not, they support you to be active and quick to respond in a work situation.
Your independent spirit needs to push itself, therefore physical work or work which requires nerve, adrenaline, stamina and courage to complete the task are well suited to your need to be heroically engaged. Occupations, including sport and business, which have goals and deadlines as well as risk factors, could also encourage your driving spirit. However at the end of the day what is important is that you have tended to your soul in work, which needs to trail blaze and be a pioneer, preferring to be out front than at the back of the queue. Without this stimulus you may feel bored and restless craving thrills and stimuli which could be unsafe. This is likely to be reflected in your choice of vocation. You are a self-starter and therefore starting your own business, working on your own or any form of self-employment may appeal.
If you are drawn to the nurturing professions then your Moon in Aries draws you towards risk-taking and tasks that involve you physically and mentally, demanding your quick reflexes and decision making, such as ambulance work, coaching, paramedics, emergency, trauma, organisational change etc.
Your Rising Sign
Ascendant in Gemini
Your Gemini Ascendant denotes versatility, flexibility, and adaptability. You're clever, cunning, and intuitive. These traits need to be expressed in your life if you are to feel a degree of satisfaction. If other parts of your Birth Chart (and therefore personality) show a leaning toward security then this Ascendant can be an excellent motivator. Your Ascendant means that you easily find the answer to any questions. All you need do is seek and you will find. Complacency will not do. You will know when you need to listen to your Gemini Ascendant when you are feeling restless and bored. You are well-advised to seek stimulation and pursue your interests. If you are bored then you are likely to start worrying or fretting. Money, for the sake of money, is not your ultimate goal in life. Your primary motivation is stimulation, because you hate to be bored. You enjoy exchanging ideas with other people, whether it is through the spoken or written word. Your inability to concentrate, combined with your hectic pace of life, can sometimes get in your way in pursuing your true purpose. Sooner or later you're forced to listen to the advice of those around you, telling you to select a course of action. Therefore you could also benefit from a financial advisor. Communication is vital, and you soon develop a strong desire for knowledge and expression which leads to true fulfilment. If you would like to focus on a positive affirmation connected to money then with your Gemini Ascendant you could use this one from “Creating Money – Keys to Abundance”by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer “I honour and value my creativity and ideas”.
Planets in Signs
Mercury in Capricorn
The planet Mercury in the zodiac sign of Capricorn indicates that you're a wise and careful thinker, preferring to take your time to consider all possibilities before making decision. You are also likely to choose your words carefully before talking. You place importance on credibility and authority. Therefore you'll seek knowledge which carries some authority. You've an astute mind and enjoy studying a variety of subjects, approaching your topics in a serious fashion. For this reason you enjoy success in the academic world. It's also likely that others will appreciate your wisdom and counsel in many matters. While it's true that you have the ability to become an acknowledged expert in your field, it's also true that you can become a little rigid in your thinking. You approach new ideas with caution, preferring the tried and tested ways that have already been trod. However, with your practical nature you will soon see the advantages of anything new on offer.
Venus in Sagittarius
With Venus in the sign of Sagittarius you've a happy-go-lucky approach to your relationships, and yearn to share adventure with your partner, whether it be simply sharing adventurous ideas or taking off on a journey to another part of the world. Your motivation is to learn more about the world through your main relationships. In some cases your partner could be your teacher, perhaps even someone from a foreign country. You do enjoy relating to foreigners, because they can teach you so much about yourself and life in general. If you can't continually be on the road, then you like to hear about other people's journeys. Your friends come from all walks of life and you're popular, so there are many friends. You're benevolent and loving in all of your relationships, ready to join in on others' adventures and experiencing genuine pleasure in their company. Your generous nature means that you often encourage others in their journey through life. Your intentions are loyal, although you do sometimes have trouble sticking to your promises because the grass can appear so much greener in other parts of the world.
Mars in Pisces
The planet Mars in the sign of Pisces indicates that you're a sensitive and affectionate individual, with a tendency to have difficulties facing the more practical realities of life. Where others rise to a challenge, you're more likely to hesitate, fearful of the consequences. You're timid and retiring, preferring to skirt around conflict rather than tackling problems head on. In some cases you can resort to emotional manipulation in order to get your own way, such as refusing to show interest or take part in a project. In other words you're more likely to be passive rather than aggressive in your approach to achieving your goals, and when thwarted. You do well when you're able to socialise with sympathetic and like-minded individuals, but you suffer when exposed to harsh or unsympathetic people. In other words you're easily influenced by other people. For this reason you need to avoid situations in which you may be victimised, as this will only fan the gloomy and depressive side of your nature. You would be better to pursue a more creative or spiritual path in life, or to take up activities which enable you to express the caring side of your nature. You're a kind and benevolent person, often drawn to philanthropic institutions. You're also likely to be artistically or psychically gifted.
Jupiter in Aquarius
You've the planet Jupiter in the zodiac sign of Aquarius in your birth chart indicating that as a broad-minded and liberal person you like to be allowed to follow your own original path through life. You're also equally happy to accept other people's freedom to follow their own path, no matter how unusual that may be. While conscious of the rights of individuals, you are also a humanitarian and like to see each person contributing their gifts to humanity. Your interests may be linked with the fields of science and metaphysics, or it may simply be that you've an unusual approach to a traditional field. It's certainly true that you've an original and inventive approach to life, and this can be inspirational to other people. You're cheerful and social, and enjoy exchanging ideas with other people in convivial circumstances. You're likely to spread your unusual ideas through teaching or in lectures in academic circles or foreign countries. At times you can be so involved in intellectual pursuits that you're indifferent to the ordinary affairs of life.
Saturn in Virgo
The planet Saturn in the sign of Virgo signifies that you're hardworking, practical, and good at problem-solving. These traits stand you in good stead to achieve your ambitions in life, but you have to make sure that every project tackled is handled with integrity. You're a stickler for rules and regulations, but what you may or may not realise is that your strict adherence to a rigid code of ethics is as much for your own good as for anyone else's. If you do not follow the rules then you're likely to land in hot water. Whereas other people seem to be able to break the rules and get away with it, you can't. You're the type of person who will get caught out every time. It worries you, but there's no need to be too gloomy. You're likely to benefit when you do better to stick to the rules and pay attention to the detail. This is also true when it comes to personal health and hygiene. Among your gifts is your ability to pay attention to detail, to analyse situations and to apply a set of rules that can produce a successful outcome. You can apply these skills to many areas of work, but you may be interested in research work, possibly even medical research. Your work may also be connected with the occult and metaphysical realms.
Uranus in Scorpio
The planet Uranus was in the sign of Scorpio from 1975 - 1981. This generation holds many innovative ideas about change, and will need to call on these in order to transform the way in which the world uses its resources. This is the generation which will tackle the problems inherited from the past. It's likely that this generation will experience a world-wide upheaval during their lifetime.
Neptune in Gemini
The planet Neptune was in the sign of Gemini from 1887 - 1902. It's important to note that Neptune takes about 164 years to make a complete cycle, spending about thirteen years in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Pluto in your chart. Pluto in the sign of Gemini suggests that you belong to a generation of inventions, and major breakthroughs in knowledge. People born in this generation were subject to new discoveries with worldwide ramifications.
Chiron in Leo
Some of the core questions you need to ask yourself relate primarily to your creative essence. What do I want to create? What is the nature of creativity? What am I creating this for? Issues associated with children may also challenge you. You may need to get in touch with your inner child, to help answer some of these questions. Underlying these questions is perhaps a deeper question that you first need to ask yourself. Before you can express your creativity, you first need to learn more about yourself. Who are you? You may have a deep-seated identity issue that you need to address.
Issues around children and the need for creative expression may challenge you. Children may in some way be a catalyst for finding out more about who you are, if not directly, then indirectly. You may have a strong desire to have children, or no desire for a family at all. Stress can also affect your fertility. Other potential concerns can develop in areas such as heart, spine, circulation, sports injuries and fatigue. But finding your true identity will be the most healing experience of all. Expressing yourself creatively can help you to find yourself. Let yourself participate fully without fear.
Make time for play, for sport, for creativity and for fun. Over time you will learn more about who you are and where your true potential lies. You will discover the healing power of love that lies within and discover your creative essence. As a result you may discover an inner artist who is seeking expression.
Planets in Houses
Sun in 9th House
The progressed Sun moves slowly through the houses. The ninth house of your chart is currently emphasized indicating that you are keen to spread your wings and explore new horizons. Travel, religion, cultural pursuits, sports and philanthropy are all themes. You may also be keen to communicate some of your own life philosophies or publish an artistic or written work. You need to expand your horizons or you will feel imprisoned by other people's expectations and society's limitations. Knowledge is the key to wisdom and understanding.
Moon in 11th House
You are more social during this phase of your life than others. If your social calendar has always been a busy one, then it will be more so now. If you are a usually a homebody then you now feel the urge to socialize more. It is not time to sit at home on your own because you can benefit greatly from your social contacts and outings. Your friends, and community groups, become the focus. Whether you realize it or not, you are feeling the urge to explore your personal goals in the light of what you would like to achieve in the wider community. Your friends support you in this process. Therefore you seek their company. In fact any friendships that have become stale and unsupportive may end during this phase. You meet new and stimulating associates, and form new friendships. Perhaps you become involved in a group of like-minded individuals and work towards a common goal. You may also find yourself in leadership roles among your peers or in your community groups. Either way this can be an enjoyable time during which you discover new goals and new skills and benefit from new associations. If you feel a little overwhelmed by all of the activity then you can take comfort in the knowledge that the next phase of your life is much more contemplative. Therefore you would do well to make the most of your activities knowing that you can reflect on this period later. The sign of your progressed Moon will also show you the manner in which you are likely to search for your new goals and friendships.
Mercury in 8th House
As the planet of communications progresses into the 8th House of your Birth Chart you may start to change your mind on some important matters. Gradually you see the light when it comes to certain issues. Secrets may be revealed, or you may start to gather new information for a new topic of interest. Resources are more readily available and this is a beneficial time to gradually reassess your financial investments, as well as how you invest your emotional energy. It is also possible that you gradually find the inner resources to tackle some tricky emotional, financial or metaphysical matters.
Venus in 6th house
Venus in your 6th house suggests that you need harmony, beauty and diplomacy to be an integral part of your autobiography. Therefore your task is to find a venue for Venus, goddess of love and beauty, to be used productively in the continuity of your daily rituals. One obvious way is through attention to presentation, image, dress and style, creating an aura of attractiveness about you. On another level you need your work place to be welcoming and pleasant. It is almost impossible for you to work in an unattractive environment unless the end product is of beauty or in a hostile situation unless of course it leads to reconciliation. Consistent with this placement is that your partner may be involved in some way with our work or you may even meet your partner at work. However this plays out, it is imperative to share your workday with your partner at the end of the day. To pay homage to this aspect of your character you need to beautify your surrounds.
The archetype of beauty seeks its expression through you in your daily life. Hence you might find satisfaction as a specialist in art, working in a museum as a curator, guide or consultant, or as an art or beauty therapist. The fashion industry, the perfume or cosmetic trade, clothing design, interior decoration and design, gifts and crafts, florists, all would serve to express this archetype. The bottom line is to be able to feel engaged with the creation of beauty. You also seek to balance and realign situations which contribute to you becoming proficient at mediation, personnel work, counselling or arbitration. The hospitality industry is also possible given your innate skills at diplomacy and your natural charm in a work situation.
Another way to engage with this archetype is through the senses. For instance you have an instinct for the right music in any social situation, the perfect outfit for the occasion, the fitting perfume to wear. Your skills at design, placement and decoration are heightened. Hence you might find a way to be able to bring these skills into your work and your workplace. One common manifestation of this astrological image is working with women and women's issues, whether that be in a personal setting with women, as a counsellor or an adviser, perhaps a doctor, psychoanalyst, politician or educator dedicated to women's issues. Work involving hairdressing, fashion, makeup, beauty products for woman are also possible. The powerful force of the feminine underpins your work life; alternatively you bring life and beauty to your work. The pleasure principle and work are entwined, therefore when you are out of touch with work or unfilled in what you do, you might seek pleasure in other ways like food or alcohol. Therefore weight and work might be synonymous; when you are happy at work, you feel attractive and valued but when satisfaction is missing you feel undervalued and unattractive. The secret to your success is finding work that values and appreciates your skills and resources. Being true to the archetypal essence of Venus suggests that your labours help to express your inner world through beauty and grace.
Mars in 11th House
During this period of your life you are likely to advance your own goals and ambitions through your friends, associations and groups. As a consequence you may feel an urge to join a club or group, perhaps even taking on a leadership role. Your efforts are likely to be noted. For this reason you are best advised to do your best to remain a calm and forceful leader, brokering peace and diplomacy whenever possible. Your status in society is likely to increase through belonging to a group that truly reflects your own hopes, dreams and wishes while also benefitting society at large.
Jupiter in 10th house
In your 10th house you have the planet Jupiter, known for its expansive, positive and confident nature. Careers involved in expanding people's understanding of themselves and the world around them, or administering to individual’s religious and soul-needs are Jupiterian and suited to your temperament. Philosophers, philosophy teachers, the realms of literature, ministers, clergymen, motivational instructors, educators and coaches are under the influence of Jupiter and any of these roles would provide a focus for this expansive energy. Jupiter also is associated with team sports, the sporting industry, adventure and is connected to horse racing, sporting goods, team sports, explorer, adventure guides. One of the consistent themes in your vocation will be the urge to expand and stretch yourself beyond the limits that were set by your family and culture. You have the urge to exceed the expectations that were set down.
Jupiterian vocations educate and inspire others to a greater understanding; therefore professors, university lecturers and tutors, teachers of higher wisdom utilise the archetype of Jupiter in their careers. Cross-cultural contacts, travel and dealing with international concerns are also part of pattern, including vocations in the foreign service, import/export trade, protocol, ambassadors, foreign trade, interpreters, missionaries, travel consultants and industry, foreign affairs, international contacts. As part of education Jupiter rules the dissemination of information and ideas: publishing, author, advertising, telecommunications industry
As the chief Olympian Zeus (Jupiter) was the most influential of the gods and this archetype seeks to influence and impact others with their ideas, generally through 'education'. Teaching, instructing, publishing, coaching, guiding and mentoring is the common denominator of all Jupiterian professions. Your urge will be to educate and disseminate information that will enhance understanding and improve the quality of life. It is imperative that you bring your vision and your ethics to whatever career you choose. You are an eternal student and traveller and it is important that you bring your visionary and optimistic spirit into any role you play in the world.
Saturn in 5th House
The planet Saturn progresses slowly through the Zodiac and therefore its influence is subtle. Saturn is a wonderful planet when you do your homework. However, if you try to escape your responsibilities then you are likely to suffer the consequences. So wherever this planet progresses you need to listen to your conscience and obey, rather than try to cut corners. In your case Saturn is progressing now through the 5th House of creativity, romance and birth. You are now able to create something that is of lasting value. This could be the birth of a child, or it could be the beginnings of an artistic endeavour. You can develop it to its highest potential through hard work and commitment to your particular talents. This can be a highly productive time if you plan, create and build. Perhaps you have finished your apprenticeship and now you can be the master. Now is the time you can expect to get serious about your creativity and make it more of a priority. As mentioned previously you may also have responsibility for young children. Either way you cannot make excuses or shirk your duties. You need to embrace them with joy if possible because you now have the ability to focus on your own creative projects, anything that holds meaning and enjoyment for your personally.
Uranus in 6th house
Revolutionary Uranus occupies the 6th sector of your horoscope. As suggested the planets in your 6th house are forces that seek expression regularly and need to be integrated into your lifestyle. Therefore your task is to find a working environment and work routines that satisfy the Uranian needs of change and modernity. Psychologically you need to feel independent enough to do your own thing at work. Without space and freedom to express yourself you feel smothered and hemmed in, which excites the urge to rebel or disrupt the routine. Imposition of rules, strict procedures and repetitive tasks do not suit you; you have a revolutionary aspect of your character which needs expression in the work sphere. When this does not find its expression you may unwittingly take on a role of rebel, odd one out or the one left out. However the archetype can be more consciously steered through work that is cutting edge, innovative, adventuresome and future orientated. Work designed to free us up, give us more time and space is your cup of tea. Therefore you might find yourself helping others with future planning, opportunistic investments, technological and innovative design, organisational change work, or any myriad of new employment that is dedicated to advancement and human opportunity.
Emotionally, you need your work to provide enough space and freedom to be able to explore your possibilities. You need to feel unattached, able to move on at any time, ready to take the opportunity when it arrives. You would not feel comfortable with a steady secure position for the next 20 years; therefore, you need to respect your need for freedom and change and not be of disservice to yourself by replacing the system's sense of security with your inner need for self-determination. You are more interested in the possibilities and opportunities of work than the realities and procedures. While you work well in a team, the spirit of the team is bound together by the task, not emotional ties. Therefore you need a clear distinction between your emotional life and your work life. They do not work well together in the workspace. You need to be free of emotional entanglements in the workplace. On the other hand you are able to find a succession of friends and colleagues through work, which become witness and often co-conspirators to your life work.
Physically the workspace also needs to support your need for space. Separateness is important. Without your own space your might confuse your need to be separate with separation, pushing co-workers away just to feel able to breathe. A light, bright atmosphere suits you and in a perfect world you would have the freedom to come and go as you please, change your work routine when you needed and have enough scope to be regularly mobile. Therefore it is important to honour this need for physical space and separateness or you become hyper, anxious and eventually reactionary. When work does not suit you either become restless, irritable and reactionary or slip into despondency. Recognise what you need to make your life and lifestyle work for you by being conscious of an overarching pattern. Then be free enough to let it happen
Neptune in 12th House
The planet Neptune placed in the 12th House of your chart means that you often feel overwhelmed by the realities of the modern-day world, and yearn for seclusion. These feelings hamper your creative projects, and spiritual process in life. You may spend much of your time day-dreaming or fantasising about possibilities, rather than acting. If you immerse yourself in these fantasies then you're likely to be escaping from reality, which doesn't help you live your true potential. However, you're likely to benefit from moments of seclusion which enable you to reflect before taking action. You're a compassionate person, with a talent for caring for other people. You may enjoy investigating your psychic abilities, or working behind the scenes.
Pluto in 12th House
The planet Pluto is in the 12th House of your birth chart indicating that one of your biggest challenges is to overcome your overwhelming sense of responsibility for other people's problems. This is quite a feat because you're often at the centre of conflict without really understanding why. This probably started when you were a young child, and seemed to be the focus of the rest of your family's aggression. Perhaps you couldn't seem to stop yourself getting into trouble, feeling compelled to get into mischief. It's also possible that there was no justification for the accusations. As an adult you again seem to be in the thick of conflict, even if it's now the role of mediator or spokesperson, rather than perpetrator. These situations seem to happen even if you don't want to be involved. It could be that you've the inability to say "no" to others people's problems, or that you're swept along by events. As a result you may have the urge to study psychology or another avenue that explores the unconscious realms of the human psyche. You may also be drawn to study secret arts such as magic or alchemy. Once you've gained some understanding of this pattern of behaviour, you may choose to be an advocate on other people's behalf. Making a choice is very different from being caught up seemingly against your will.
NorthNode in 12th House
Your North Node is in the 12th house; the South Node is the 6th. This 6th-12th polarity echoes the zodiacal opposition of Virgo and Pisces where the core issue of order versus chaos is brought into consciousness. Your North Node in the 12th house faces the pole of chaos. To the ancient Greeks chaos was a different concept than we use today. Chaos was the void through which creation emerged and therefore was honoured as the seminal moment in cosmology. In this respect your 12th house Node suggests that it is important for you to face your own creative potentialities for they appear limitless. It invites you to make an effort to understand your own psyche, that soulful part of you which is as deep and mysterious as the ocean. You are called to learn how to swim and navigate the depths of your inner world. It is comforting to know that your discriminating instincts are well developed and it is important to find the courage to understand your own limitations which inhibit your exploration into the inner goldmine of your creative possibilities.
Vocationally you may feel drawn to the rich world of the imagination, wanting to utilise it to express your artistic talents, your healing abilities and your creative ideas. However you may get caught up in your own self-criticism and scepticism or be so involved in details and routines that you abandon your own ingenuity. At this juncture a deep sense of grief or loss calls you back into the exploration of your own inner depths and fears. Your vocation is not something you can know; however it is something that can be. It exists outside conventional structures and limits. In fact you are more inclined to know your purpose when you step out of your routines. When you are on holiday, taking a risk, outside your routine or trying something different you might hear that voice that beckons you towards understanding the mystery of yourself. That voice is the call of vocation.
Chiron in 3rd House
You have Chiron in the 3rd House; while Chiron is not classified as a planet, its archetypal imagery is an insightful addition to our planetary pantheon. Chiron, like the three older Olympian brothers, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus, was a son of Chronus, therefore was their half-brother and part of the Olympian family. However, Chiron was not awarded the same status as his half-siblings, an especially interesting theme for Chiron in the 3rd House, as this archetypal imprint might suggest a sibling who is not from the system or not granted the same status as the other siblings. As a sibling image Chiron, represents the adopted sibling, the step-sibling, or the sibling not wholly part of the sibling system. In essence it is a feeling of being displaced or not fitting in.
Chiron in the 3rd House points to a potential wounding that has occurred with or through your siblings or early relationships. Another possibility is that a sibling might be wounded, handicapped, physically or mentally challenged, even adopted or relinquished. Chiron represents a wound that is inflicted unintentionally; with Chiron in the third, this wound may have been inflicted by your sibling/s or surrogate sibs. This generally is not physical, although it may be; it is usually experienced through name calling or other forms of verbal abuse or wounding. The deeper meaning of the 3rd House, I feel, has to do with the power of the word. With Chiron in the third, the poisonous arrows that are the wounding agent could be the sibling’s verbal abuse. A child being branded stupid, ugly or illegitimate by his siblings can receive a lifelong wound. Chiron in the third is also highly sensitive to the feeling effect that flows beneath what is said; so the wound can also be inflicted by the dishonesty and trickery of the sibling.
The wound could also be that you feel exiled from your siblings, completely separate and not a part of the same system they belong to. I have often witnessed that this placement might reveals loss in the family, and the individual with Chiron in the third is the one who is prone to carrying the unresolved grief from this loss. Chiron in the third seems to be a dominant placement for those who have a handicapped sib. While this might not apply in your case, you are drawn to helping others and it is in your early childhood environs where you might have had the inspiration to become a carer or healer. However ambivalence often accompanies this aspect, as you love your sibling or the one who is being taken care of, but you also feel that you missed out on some things due to the enormous attention focused on the other. Both the wound and the impulse to cure and help is opened in your early relationships with others who may not be as blessed.
Early patterns from your sibling system may be re-enacted later in adult relationships by drawing the wounded other into our orbit, bringing the primal polarity of wounding and healing to surface in relationships. Or this may manifest at your feeling marginal or outside the relationship or social circle of friends. Unexpectedly, your partners and friends may once again draw the sibling wound to the surface. Therefore it might be of value to reflect on how this influences your relationships. Your kindred spirits come from a very different world than the one you have known and encourage you to think outside the square and live outside the system.
Nodes
NorthNode in Gemini
In your natal horoscope you have the North Node in Gemini and the South Node in Sagittarius signifying you have access to a breadth of knowledge. Innately you are scholastic, yet ironically schooling may never have brought this out in you. It is through your own course of study, adventure and travel beyond the horizon that have educated you. Through your own personal experiences and training you have accumulated a large library of resources and in your vocation you need to draw on these. The dragon you will fight in your professional life will be the feeling that your hard-won opinions and beliefs are the right ones for everyone. Ironically you will be called on to disseminate your ideas and beliefs but now the righteousness needs to be extracted so these concepts and ideals can be more widely distributed. By nature you are a teacher, an educator and a trainer and your vocation is to inspire others not convince them of your beliefs.
Qualities that need both development and expression in a vocation are concentrated on the faculties of communication and ideas. You need to widen your sphere of influence in order to disseminate your innate knowledge, whether that is through speaking, writing, teaching, broadcasting or telecommunications. Therefore it is important to network, make contacts and be active in the community of colleagues. With your breadth of understanding and intuition you have an uncanny sense of knowing what is right. Let your intuition, innate knowledge and far sightedness lead you concentrating on articulating and forming ideas so that your beliefs can be understood and embraced by the world at large.
Your invitation is to be a correspondent with larger ideas. Since you have an innate knack at seeing the larger picture and the underlying meaning to what is going on you are called to impart these concepts to a wider audience, becoming a practical dreamer, an everyday philosopher. Communication is a necessary part of your vocation. Whether you express your creativity through design, writing, journalism, politics, lecturing, body movements, laughter in not important; what is necessary is that you articulate these creative ideas. Any medium that can offer a venue to exchange ideas, thoughts and information is vital in you feeling vocationally content. Flexibility and the freedom to communicate are paramount. Having an instinct for education and knowledge you are able to marry this with facts, statistics and information, therefore employment which involves telecommunications, the Internet, sales, specialised information, maps, atlases, books, magazines, news, reports, and statistics might appeal. However your vocation finds you, it probably will be when you're on the move, in between or asking the larger questions about life.
Aspects
Sun Soft Mars
The Sun and the planet Mars come into contact in your chart meaning that you're hard working and energetic, able to tackle most of life's challenges with confidence and a positive attitude. A natural-born leader, you prefer taking the initiative, rather than sitting back and waiting for things to happen. You're courageous and like to take a few risks in life, particularly ones that satisfy your sense of adventure and provide an outlet for your boundless energy. Self-motivation comes easily and you find it difficult to accept the motto that "all good things come to those who wait". You prefer to tackle a project or problem head on rather than wait around for a solution. While confidence and initiative are positive traits, you do need to exercise some patience and caution. Knowing when to take risks and when to wait are both vital to a successful outcome in any project. As long as you find positive outlets for your enterprising nature, and don't act too impulsively you're likely to stride forth and succeed in achieving your life goals.
Sun Hard Uranus
The Sun is making a difficult aspect to the planet Uranus in your birth chart indicating that you're impulsive and determined to be an individual. You want to do things your own way and will dig in your heels if anyone tries to stop you. You've the ability to be a unique and original leader, but you need to be wary of letting your impatient and excitable nature stand in the way of you achieving your life goals. If you're not careful you're easily embroiled in various dramas over perceived or, in some cases, real injustices. This could range from a minor conflict with a sales person or major battles with authorities. This tendency to clash with other people probably originates from your childhood relationship with your father or a father figure. It's likely that you were a wilful child, who liked to have the freedom to learn through experience rather than through parental advice. Of course the extent of your rebellion depends on other influences in your chart. You may have clashed with a strong-minded male parental figure, either through head-on conflict or passive lack of co-operation. Possibly the loss, or absence, of a strong male during your childhood meant that you were given too much freedom and lacked appropriate parental guidance. It's also possible that in your mind you feel that you were not given enough freedom. Given your need for individual freedom, you may have felt trapped. Either way, as an adult, you struggle to curb a tendency to lash out whenever someone else or circumstances appear to stop you getting or doing what you want. This can result in a feeling of being isolated or separated from loved ones or society. However, it's more likely that your own wilful nature is preventing you from achieving your goals in life. You need to find the right mix of respecting your own original identity and the needs of other people. Once you've achieved this balance then you're free to pursue your unique talents, and to succeed in reaching your goals.
Moon Hard Jupiter
The Moon is making a difficult aspect to the planet Jupiter in your birth chart indicating that you struggle with your tendency to be self-indulgent and attached to the comforts of life. You've difficulty finding a sense of equilibrium in your home life. Either your home seems so comfortable that it's difficult to rouse yourself to attend social occasions, or you're never home. This isn't necessarily a problem for you, but can cause difficulties for members of your family. Perhaps these problems stem from your childhood. As a child your mother may have been over-indulgent, showering you with affection and attention and inadvertently making life a little too comfortable. As a result you may either have had difficulty finding the motivation to leave the nest, or have fled for greener pastures far too soon. It's also possible that you've unrealistic expectations of yourself and your family members, which can occasionally cause friction. On a positive note you're warm and benevolent and enjoy spending time with your family. It's also possible that you share common religious or spiritual beliefs, and that your home is a hospitable meeting place.
Moon Sextile Neptune
During this period you are more sensitive to other people and your surroundings. You may feel the urge to pursue a more spiritual path, perhaps rejoining a former religion or joining a new spiritual group. Alternatively you may be drawn to creative or artistic expression. During this period you are more likely to remember your dreams. They may be more vivid, carrying messages for your waking life. Your perceptions are changing in subtle ways. You are rather like the butterfly that is emerging from the cocoon. Enjoy the new emerging you. As a result you will discover new depths and meanings that colour your life.
Moon Soft Neptune
The Moon and the planet Neptune are connected in your birth chart indicating that you're a soft, imaginative and sensitive person, who needs a peaceful home environment. Your home needs to be your haven from the world because at times you feel overwhelmed by the harsh realities of the world, and you need to shut away. If this isn't possible then it's likely that you'll be distressed and confused. It's true that you live in a fantasy world. Family members may have stories about your daydreaming ways as a child, which continue well into adulthood. It's also possible that your loved ones feel the need to bring you back down to earth, believing that this will help you cope with the world. Nevertheless you've learned to trust your own instincts, telling you of a need to escape somewhere to dream, even if it's only one room. In this case a room with a beautiful view would definitely appeal to your aesthetic nature. Your imagination is important in helping you to develop your artistic or spiritual gifts. It's likely that your relationship with your mother, grandmother, or an important woman has played a key role in helping you develop the imaginative side of your nature. Perhaps this woman had artistic or spiritual gifts, or encouraged your own talents. It's likely that, although you've an idealised picture in your mind of this woman, that she has had a positive effect on your life. Your house may also be a restful haven for your loved ones, because you've a flair for creating a peaceful environment. This may be your ability to listen with sensitivity to other people's problems and plans, or the ability to create beautiful environment with artistic ornaments, soothing music and indoor plants and flowers. Perhaps you also have artistic talents, which can be displayed in your home. You may find a great sense of satisfaction in living close to water.
Moon Hard Uranus
The Moon and the planet Uranus are connected in your chart suggesting that your home life is unusual and changeable. It could be that you've difficulty settling down in one place, or that you live in extraordinary surroundings. In some way your family life is unusual. This isn't necessarily a negative experience, although it could be upsetting. Perhaps you, or a member of your family, have an unusual hobby which has taken over the household, or necessity requires that your family often changes residence. The erratic nature of your household probably stems from your childhood experiences. Perhaps your family was different from traditional families, or circumstances led to emotional upsets in the family home. It's possible that you suffered from a sense of insecurity as a child as a result of changing family life. Your mother, or an important mother figure, may have been an unusual or unstable influence in your early childhood. A continuing sense of a lack of security in your home and family may be a source of emotional distress, as you struggle to come to terms with conflicting emotions. However, you're a resourceful, inventive and independent person, and will eventually learn to blend your individual need for excitement and stimulation in the home environment with a need for comfort and security.
Moon Soft Pluto
The Moon and the planet Pluto are connected in your birth chart indicating that you're an intense and emotional person, prone to extreme highs and lows. You love drama and intensity, because these give you a sense of being deeply connected to your loved ones, and to the world. It's likely that your family and home life are periodically emotionally volcanic. This can be problematic if other members of your family don't desire the same level of intensity, particularly if they're seeking peace and quiet at home. If this is the case your needs are directly opposed to your loved ones', which may not concern you, but could result in dramatic changes in your personal life. This is also a problem because you've a deep sense of commitment to your personal relationships, and feel betrayed if others don't share this commitment. It's likely that your need for emotional intensity originates from an early childhood experience, probably linked with your mother or another strong woman figure. Your relationship with your mother is likely to be immersed with intense feelings, perhaps even stemming from a life-or-death situation. You may feel positively or negatively about your mother. Either way your feelings are likely to be strong. You're a resourceful person, and can rely on your own resources to solve most problems. You need to find a creative outlet for your intense nature, some thing that will totally absorb your attention. Perhaps you would enjoy property development, or renovating your house. You're a powerful person with leadership skills, and a need for a challenge.
Mercury Hard Neptune
The planets Mercury and Neptune are forming a difficult pattern in your chart suggesting that your mind is sometimes confused causing you to suffer setbacks and delays in your education and communication with other people. At times you're vague, lacking concentration and resolution. It's possible that you've spent many hours day-dreaming, lost in a world of thoughts and ideas which seem to have amounted to very little. This is partly because you lack the ability to make decisions, doubting your own abilities and relying too heavily on the influence of other people. It could also be a result of your lack of self-control. On a positive note other influences in your chart, or the development of self-discipline, can help you achieve your dreams. If this is the case then you're likely to express your thoughts in an artistic or creative manner. This could be through art, poetry, literature, story-telling, or music. It's possible that you possess genius in one of these fields. You're also likely to excel in medical or spiritual circles, where your heightened sensitivity to other people can be truly appreciated. You're more likely to follow an unconventional, rather than orthodox, path if you become involved in medicine. This is because you're attracted in psychic and spiritual phenomena. In fact you may possess psychic gifts. You may also enjoy reflective periods near the water, or with nature.
Mercury Soft Saturn
The planet Mercury is making favourable contact with the planet Saturn in your birth chart indicating that you've good intellectual abilities. Your mind is contemplative and profound, capable of concentration and comprehension. Therefore you're likely to shine in pursuits such as study, writing, publishing, lecturing, teaching, travelling, diplomacy, and business. You may be particularly interested in science, politics or medicine. You're fortunate to have good judgement and reasoning powers, as well as an excellent memory. You may have had difficulty expressing yourself as a child, but as an adult you're able to speak your mind in a logical and methodical manner. The saying "older and wiser" certainly applies in your case. You're a sensible person, able to make careful plans and carry them through to completion. Depending on other aspects in your chart you're more likely to take a traditional path in your education, rather than explore unchartered territory. The steady approach to education and communication suits you. You've the ability to become a voice of authority in your field of expertise, particularly a field which requires business acumen, good communication skills and common sense. In other words, you're capable of achieving whatever you set your mind to.
Mercury Hard Pluto
The planets Mercury and Pluto are combined in your birth chart suggesting that your education and communications are coloured with highs and lows. On the positive side you've a probing mind and the ability to assess situations rapidly, which can lead to success in your studies. You're likely to excel in any education process which requires research and intense work. It's also likely that these gifts will help you excel in any professional or personal situation which involves counselling or crisis work. Your insightful mind proves invaluable in such situations. You enjoy investigating mysteries and probing for hidden truths. Although you can be secretive by nature, you find it difficult to appreciate other people's need for privacy. You feel impelled to uncover any secret, be it personal or societal. Fortunately you also know how to keep secrets. It's likely that you've learnt to rely on your own judgement from an early age. Perhaps a threatening environment, at home, in your neighbourhood, or at school, meant that your instincts were a vital means of survival. It could also have been a crisis, ranging from a traumatic change of school or a death, that led to your ability to see situations clearly and honestly. The gifts can be used to benefit your adult life, and other people. However, problems are likely to arise because of your inability to see the lighter side of life, and to accept that occasionally you might be wrong! You are a deep thinker with wonderful powers of concentration, but you can become obsessive, seeing only innuendos and subtleties in communications, rather than the bigger and often brighter picture. This obsessive side of your nature means that you also tend to believe that others are opposed to your thoughts and ideas, when perhaps they're not. You need to battle to overcome your tendency to create conflict and then seek revenge in such situations. If you believe that you're losing sight of the plot, then seek advice from a trusted friend or colleague. You are at your most powerful when using your insights for positive purposes. In particular your honesty and insights can be useful in a counselling situation, but be careful of taking these talents out of the consulting room unless invited to do so. Friends and loved ones may not always appreciate your ability to get straight to the point, particularly if they're feeling vulnerable or emotionally distraught. You need to learn tact and diplomacy and sensitivity to other people's pain. Your gifts, combined with compassion, make you a powerful advocate in any field.
Mercury Soft Mars
The planets Mercury and Mars are making contact in your chart indicating that you've a razor-sharp mind and tongue, which you're not afraid of using. You're quick to grasp new ideas, and enjoy studying any subject that challenges your mind. You may have a keen interest in sports and military pursuits. You've good intellectual powers, and are witty, enthusiastic and ingenious. You're a forthright and powerful speaker, perhaps not realising the extent of the effect that your words have on other people. Others may react adversely to your feisty way of communicating, particularly if you fail to curb your tendency to speak first and think later. In some way your communications with other people tend to involve conflict, a battle of words requiring strategic manoeuvres. On a positive note it's also possible that others appreciate your ability to speak your mind, particularly if you're fighting for a cause. You may become an advocate for individuals or groups of people, who are unable to stand up for themselves or who need a strong spokesperson. You're the right choice because you're perceptive, enjoy a thought-provoking discussion or argument, and are agile in most negotiations.
Mercury SesquiSquare Neptune
You may find it difficult to concentrate right now. Your mind is muddled. It is time to slow down, particularly if you are a mentally focused person. If you are able to, you need to avoid any task that requires mental agility and concentration. Instead allow your mind to wander to more creative pastures. This can be the perfect time to consider an artistic, philanthropic or spiritual interest. A holiday or a spiritual retreat may be beneficial.
Venus Hard Saturn
The planets Venus and Saturn have combined in your chart indicating that you have difficulty in intimate relationships. You seek commitment and security in your primary relationship, but may be disappointed at some stage of your life. Its possible for you to have a rewarding, long-term relationship with someone trustworthy and reliable, but it's likely to be after initial setbacks and upsets. You're faithful and loyal, a dependable, stable and dutiful partner. However, you need to be wary of becoming involved with someone who tries to control your movements and behaviour. Depending on other influences in your chart you may be shy and inhibited in your personal relationships, and be fearful of standing up for your rights. One of your parents may have been too strict, eroding your confidence and ability to make your own way in the world. Consequently you fear expressing yourself, particularly in intimate relationships, and harbour feelings of being unattractive. While your personal relationships may prove difficult you've the ability to form good business partnerships. This is probably because business partners don't require intimacy or emotional vulnerability. It's also possible that you're attracted to someone much older. The good news is that once you overcome your feelings of inadequacy you've the ability to form secure and long-lasting personal relationships based on firm foundations. You may favour a traditional marital relationship, complete with a ceremony and wedding vows.
Venus Hard Pluto
The planets Venus and Pluto are combining unfavourably in your chart suggesting that drama plays a key role in your personal relationships. You're fiercely loyal and committed, and expect as much from your partner. You like to feel that there is an unbreakable emotional bond between you and your primary partner. Problems arise when you don't feel this bond with your partner, either because your partner is consumed with another interest, or if a third person appears to be lurking on the scene. At times like these you struggle to keep things in perspective. You're a jealous person, and quite capable of seeking revenge when wronged. You need to be wary of this darker side of your nature, seeking help when appropriate. You need also to be careful to choose the right person as your primary partner - someone who reciprocates your love and passion. Otherwise you can waste a lot of time and energy trying to make a doomed relationship work. You may also benefit from directing some of your energy into an all-consuming project, such as fighting for human rights or an intensely creative pursuit.
Mars Hard Saturn
Conflict is likely to be a key feature of your life because of the influence of the planets Saturn and Mars in your chart. When these combine in an unfavourable manner it leads to troubles and discord. You're probably well aware of the difficulties that you face in some areas of your life, finding it difficult to motivate yourself to overcome them. Other people and circumstances seem to stand in the path of your success, which is frustrating. In some cases you could be frustrated by a physical illness, which prevents you working towards your ambitions. It's true that you shouldn't neglect your physical health, because you could be prone to illness and harm through accidents. You may find that resentment and thoughts of revenge are ways in which you motivate yourself into action. Of course you would do well to avoid acting on these feelings, otherwise you could end up in violent disputes or in trouble with the law. This influence in your chart can indicate achieving notoriety, which is very different from achieving success. It's possible that you've difficulty remembering a time when life didn't have its problems. Perhaps you had a tough life as a child either through difficult family circumstances or because of a strict and harsh parent figure. Of course much of this scenario depends on other influences in your chart. On a more positive note you're confident and ambitious, capable of driving yourself and others to achieve your objectives. You can be motivated by the thought of achievement, and are likely to succeed through hard work and self-discipline. In fact you're determined to succeed in certain areas of your life. Your will power can be indomitable, particularly when you've determined on a course of action.
Jupiter Hard Moon
The planet Jupiter is making a difficult aspect to the Moon in your chart suggesting that you tend to be self-indulgent lacking the motivation to achieve your goals, or perhaps you've unrealistic expectations of yourself and your loved ones. You may lack faith in yourself and the fortitude needed to accomplish tasks on your own. It's possible that you put other people, particularly women, on a pedestal. You need to acquire self-discipline in order to complete tasks, which in turn boosts your confidence. Once this is achieved then you're likely to succeed in your objectives.
Jupiter Conjunct Midheaven
Jupiter, the archetype associated with philosophies, ideologies and beliefs is at the pinnacle of your chart suggesting that fate has placed these concerns in a prominent position of your life. You are a born educator and visionary, drawn to the dissemination of ideas that help foster understanding and expansion. Your search for truth and meaning is at the forefront of your investigations leading you down a path of cross-cultural discovery and learning. You are both pilgrim and professor on life's path, gathering and disseminating wisdom to help expand human understanding. Whether teacher, explorer, guide or publisher, optimism, faith and vision are vocational necessities.
Jupiter Hard Saturn
You can succeed in achieving your life goals, but only after you've learnt to balance the conventional and unorthodox sides of your nature. This is because the planets Jupiter and Saturn are making a difficult aspect in your birth chart. There is a dissident side to your nature, which you've difficulty keeping under control. Unrestrained enthusiasm can lead you into trouble. At other times there's an orthodox side which is overly cautious, causing you to hesitate unnecessarily when action is required. Finding the right balance is hard work. Generally speaking you're a poor judge of when to take action and when to wait patiently. As a result you're likely to suffer financial loss if speculating in the business or financial world. You would also do well, if possible, to steer clear of lawsuits. On a positive note when you can blend the two opposing forces you're capable of great things. You can enjoy success in self-employment or be a valued member of a team, particularly in the business world. Once a balance is achieved you're sure of achieving your objectives in life.
Saturn Hard Uranus
When you're not rebelling against authority, or anyone who tries to curb your individual rights, then you're able to succeed in achieving your ambitions. However, the combination of the planets Saturn and Uranus indicate that you're likely to sabotage your own success through wilful behaviour. You need to overcome your wayward tendencies, and learn to compromise, otherwise your career suffers. On a positive note you're independent, resourceful and self-motivated, all of which enable you to eventually achieve success in whatever you turn your mind to. You may discover that you've natural abilities in the fields of science, mathematics, business organisation, industry and metaphysics. It's likely that you'll succeed in any career that utilises your gift for blending the old with the new.
Saturn Hard Mars
An unfavourable combination of the planets Saturn and Mars can indicate difficulties in your profession, particularly in partnerships or companies. You need to be careful to avoid litigation, which you're like to lose. Of course this depends largely on other influences in your chart. Nevertheless you need to act with the utmost integrity within your career to ensure success rather than scandal.
Pluto conjunct Neptune
With Pluto Conjunct Neptune, you experience a profound interaction between Metatron and Tamiel. Metatron has been called the King of Angels and the Chief of the ministering Angels. This Angel is thought to be the pillar of fire the Jews followed in their exodus from Egypt. He is a certain link between you and the divine. Metatron's association with Tamiel, the Angel of Primordial Energies, is extremely powerful.
You undoubtedly experience supernatural events and conditions during your life. Your Angels provide this resource and can help you refine it. Psychic impressions and intuition become second nature to you after a while. You learn to act on intuition in much the same way you would act on advice from your accountant.
One facet of the path of personal integrity for you involves purification of your soul. This means elevating your thoughts above petty jealousy and anger. While you may never overcome negative thinking entirely, working with your Angels will lift you up, step by step, to thoughts of compassion and love. Love overcomes fear and compassion overcomes hatred, it's just about that simple.
One possible weakness is over-sensitivity. This is only a weakness when you indulge the possibility. Your sensitivity is the source of at least one extrasensory ability. You will want to maintain your sensitivity while learning to manage any side effects. Other people may continue to see you as a sentimental type, but you will find that you really don't care what they think.
Another perceived weakness is confusion in interpreting psychic and intuitive information as it comes to you. Here again, this is only a weakness until you develop the necessary skills. Meditation each day allows your Angels to contact you more directly.
You have the power of a storyteller combined with the wisdom of a seer. You could write fiction or dramatic scripts, and your poetry can become the liquid fire of inspiration and soothing balm for the soul.
NorthNode Soft Jupiter
The North Node and the planet Jupiter are combining to suggest that your current life challenge is to embrace adventure. This can be travelling to foreign places, or taking more risks in your daily life. Either way you may find yourself in some challenging situations! Inspiring others, possibly through preaching or teaching, may be part of your life's destiny. Benevolent groups may also play a key role.
SouthNode Soft Jupiter
The South Node and the planet Jupiter are combining to suggest that you'll strike problems if you take part in grandiose schemes which are not based on solid groundwork. You're being challenged to develop your expansive ideas in a practical manner. Your quest is to work in a realistic and down-to-earth manner towards your goals.
Chiron opposition Sun
There is usually a deep wound here when it comes to fairness and/or equality, to the point that you felt the need to prove you are ‘as good as’ others. It may be that you always had to defend yourself in one way or another, or it may be that you were made to feel that you had to ‘win’ at all costs.
One major lesson you can learn from this aspect is when to compete, when not to! learn how to choose your battles.
This aspect can make you a real fighter, which can be for good or bad. If you see something that you feel needs change, or an obstacle that needs to be overcome, you won’t rest until you’ve ‘won’. This may be a physical fight, but this doesn’t necessarily make you a physical fighter (other aspects in the chart would show that). What this aspect does do is make you appear always ready to take up a banner, always ready to take up a cause.
As you grow, and heal from the wound, any particular cause you are drawn to will be for the betterment of life, or to help others in some way. But if you resist healing, there can develop the feeling you need to fight even for small things, or there can develop a paranoia giving you an ‘us versus them’ attitude. Even as you evolve and grow, the urge to ‘do battle’ is never dissipated, but as I said, you learn to choose your battles. With this aspect, though, you never feel more alive than when you respond to a challenge in some way, or offer a challenge to someone else.
One thing that cannot, unfortunately, be avoided with this aspect is the making of enemies. It goes with the territory. But as you grow, and heal, you will find that even your enemies will respect you.
It is impossible to have this aspect without developing strong principles, and of course, to feel the need to stand up and fight for them as well. You will not sacrifice your principles to appease others.
But other people are important to you, not just for competition. You understand yourself so much better when you have feedback from others, and are always looking for another perspective, another viewpoint.
Chiron square Uranus
If you have Chiron square Uranus you are part of a small, select group of people, born either between 1943–1944, or 1997–1998. It is not an easy aspect, can be a great deal of conflict in the life of anyone who has this aspect.
For one thing, you are always your own person never submitting to the dictates of others, a truly ‘one-of-a-kind’ individual. This does not sit well with many of the people you meet.
On a positive level you are an individual who will try something new, if it is important to you, even if you know it might bring ridicule. (Of course you would prefer acceptance, but you would much rather achieve success, or discover the truth, than worry about the opinions of others.)
On a negative level there is a danger that you might attach yourself to any guru or teacher who promises real fulfilment for you, who tells you they will show you your true purpose in life. You need to learn to constantly question rather than following a promise from an unreliable source.
One thing that seems extremely important to everyone with this aspect is that you discover the truth about self, and about life, then once you have found it, to reveal it to others if possible.
Chiron sextile Neptune
This aspect instilled in you a real longing for a ‘Utopia’, and your definition of Utopia is shaped by the sign of your Neptune, in Virgo it is healing the world’s pains, and of you finding the perfect way to be of service to others; in Libra it is a place of peace, harmony, and finding your other half; or in Aquarius, a place of brotherhood, a better future, and where you are able to truly express your unique self. The House position of your Neptune further defines the area of life where the perfect world is dreamt of.
This dream world, fantasy or ideal is seen on some level as the cure to most (if not all) of your problems, and can be projected onto others, seeing it as the cure-all for the problems of others as well.
The wound of this aspect was written about by Don Henley in his song ‘The End of the Innocence’ when he talks of the deep pain that is felt when one loses one’s innocence and discovers that the Utopia one idealized was a fantasy, and would not happen all by itself:
“When ‘happily ever after’fails “And we’ve been poisoned by these fairy tales”
The healing comes when you learn to see what part of your ideal Utopia can be made real if you decide to work to make it happen.
Positively this aspect gives you the ability to do a great deal for others because of your idealism and imagination. There is a great deal of ‘soul’ in you, and you really can see a world that ‘could be.’
Negatively, if Neptune is too strong, you can lose yourself in the search for the ideal and even, if not careful, end up living in a world that others perceive simply as fantasy.
There is a great potential for healing here, as well as for psychic perceptions.
Chiron sextile Pluto
This aspect pushes you to strive for a high order of efficiency and professionalism in your life. It is not, as a rule, out of ego or desire for self-aggrandizement, but rather, it is deeply ingrained in you that if something is done right the first time, it won’t have to be repeated later. Also, you have a very real understanding that there are some things that can only be done once.
This is another excellent aspect for the researcher since it endows you with an insatiable curiosity; a love of finding out what makes things tick.
It also strengthens your confidence in your own abilities, whenever you have pushed yourself to complete a task. It is a very positive cycle, the more sure of yourself you get, the better you are at completing the tasks you set before yourself, the more tasks you complete, the more sure of yourself you become. This usually brings admiration from associates, and can give you the ability to be a leader with willing followers.
On the negative side (or maybe it is not so negative) this aspect gives a tendency to be brutally frank. If ever anyone asks you for an honest opinion, you will give it without hesitation.
Chiron trine Moon
One thinks of a trine as being ‘easy’, but Chiron in trine still reflects a lesson that need be learned. With a trine, Chiron teaches that one has a tendency to get stuck in a particular mindset, or emotional set, and Chiron will keep creating one situation after another until you extricate yourself from this mindset and no longer need Chiron’s help.
Trine the Moon, the lesson is to not taking anything for granted. The more you heal from your Chiron wound, the more you learn this lesson, and the more you discover that most people around you never do learn not to take things for granted.
Because of this, you develop the ability to be a good teacher and problem-solver. You can see that a problem may exist simply because things were taken for granted, and can help others to see this possibility. You develop the knack of simplifying complex situations, and for seeing things the way they really are. You learn that even in the most commonplace there may be things beyond your previous knowledge.
