Your Sun Sign

Sun in Aquarius

In contemporary astrology the zodiacal image of Aquarius has been transformed from its ancient counterpart through the discovery of Uranus, the first planet sighted beyond the seven classical ones of antiquity. As Uranus replaced Saturn as the modern ruler it brought the collective values of parity, liberality, consensus and social equality to the zodiacal territory of Aquarius. When the stage production of Hair opened in the 60's its leading anthem was called Aquarius, a revolutionary ode to world peace. With your Sun in Aquarius, you sense the winds of change and want to be carried away by the new spirit of freedom and equality for all. Aquarius is the archetypal essence that reminds us that world peace and equal opportunity are not only ideals, but also human values that can be achieved through a humanitarian spirit.

Your Aquarian virtue of freedom is not only the urge for unity in your external environment but your inner experience of independence which inspires you to strive for the rights and liberty of others. It is the freedom of your spirit that strengthens you to be liberated from the herd, to make your own choices, create an unconventional lifestyle, assess a situation independently, evaluate freely and be politically incorrect. All these are essential to your lifestyle and vocation. As a result you may enjoy exploring advanced and ground-breaking professional avenues in science, technology, astrology, electronics, aeronautics, or multi-media.

You are drawn to feats of humanitarianism that lessen mass suffering, improve living conditions and help in time of crisis and catastrophe. You celebrate the communal spirit that forges trustworthy communities and establishes socially responsible organisations. You embrace the individuality of each person but exist for the good of the whole. Brotherhood and Sisterhood is your ideal and it is here where you encounter your spiritual siblings; they are your friends, allies and colleagues, kindred spirits who share your inner spirit of freedom, individuality and human values. Your freedom of expression for the shared passions and enthusiasm is your link to your friends and colleagues. Friendship and the experience of being accepted for just being who you are is like returning home to a sense of congeniality and an enjoyment of the shared spirit of life. You need to experience the sense of belonging to a larger family and have your individuality acknowledged within the larger collective.

Your task is to learn the value of inner freedom, no longer being enslaved to wanting what others have or feeling the need to be like others. You yearn to be valued as an equal individual within the group. Equality is not having the same as everyone else or being like everyone else, but embracing your individual needs, desires and tastes. Freedom to be outside the herd, to broaden your perceptions and admire your own uniqueness is your vocation. To find your vitality and spirit and to feel soulful in the world, you need to strive to be altruistic, broadminded, detached, friendly and original. Let your humanitarianism be your guiding impulse.

Your Moon Sign

Moon in Pisces

Your Moon is in Pisces, suggesting that you are highly sensitive to the moods, feelings and nuances that surround you. Your natural disposition is to merge with your surroundings therefore your frame of mind is strongly influenced by the atmosphere around you. On one hand you are given the gift of being sensitive, attuned to the environment, intuitive, even prophetic. Yet on the other you may struggle with setting appropriate boundaries, have difficulty leaving emotionally unfulfilled situations or struggle articulating your needs. You may be hard to pin down as your moods shift and change depending on the atmosphere. Therefore to care for the soul you need to be aware of this tendency to be a medium to others and choose when and how you want to express this gift. Your urge to serve is important; therefore you may feel a need to dedicate yourself either to a service or to a cause. Make sure that this is what you need to do, not what others need of you.

As a young child you were surrounded by wonderment. From an early age you would have recognised your capacity to imagine, create, dream and to envision. As you matured you were challenged with knowing the fine line that separated the imagination from delusion. But to nurture your soul you still need the contact with the other world of dreams and images. Vocationally this suggests you are able to draw on something much larger than yourself to inspire and inform your work. What you need in your daily life is contact with the dream world where imagination and human ideals are valued. Hopefully your creative, intuitive and artistic temperament can find an outlet through your vocation. If not, you need to provide a place where you can go to be in contact with the imagination.

If you are called to the nurturing professions then your Moon in Pisces may be drawn to compassionate service, like nursing or caring for the handicapped and homeless. You have an instinctual understanding of addictions and might be called to work with drug dependence, addictive behaviours. Destiny may call you into service in institutions, hostels, jails, and asylums to help.

Your Rising Sign

Ascendant in Aquarius

You are well aware of the power of enterprises. Individuals can achieve a lot but groups even more so. You’re a team player. You are fated to become more gregarious and unconventional, original and objective. You may be fiercely independent, or a loner in some ways, and yet your purpose and fate are strongly linked with your friends and associates, and groups of people. Your purpose may be linked with humanitarian causes, or with metaphysical groups or pursuits. It's also possible that you're interested in scientific ideals. The pursuit of money is not part of your purpose in life. If you have other factors in your Birth Chart (and therefore your personality) that are strong money indicators then this Ascendant is telling you that you need to keep your eyes on the bigger picture. Sharing resources, or learning to share resources, is part of your life lesson. You are likely to experience the most joy when you work with others on something that gives your life meaning and purpose. As you grow older personal ambition is less and less likely to equal satisfaction. You may find a humanitarian cause that is close to your heart, or a group project that offers more than financial rewards. It is also possible that you donate your time to helping others once you have secured your own good fortune. If you would like to focus on a positive affirmation connected to money then with your Aquarian Ascendant you could use this one from “Creating Money – Keys to Abundance”by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer “I experience clarity and harmony in all of my energy exchanges”.

Planets in Signs

Mercury in Pisces

The planet Mercury in the zodiac sign of Pisces indicates that you've a good imagination. Early education can be difficult because your mind is constantly wandering into the imaginary world. This can be positive as you imagine fame and fortune, health and happiness for yourself and others. On the other hand you also have the ability to conjure up a black scenario if you're in a negative frame of mind. Your thoughts depend largely on your mood. You need to become conscious of this tendency, because there are times when you've difficulty separating reality from fantasy. You need also be wary of hallucinogenic drugs, as you're particularly susceptible to external influences. You're highly intuitive, capable of understanding events and people at a deep level if you allow yourself to listen to your own intuitive nature. You've the ability to tune into other people's thoughts, and to understand how they are feeling and thinking. Education will be easier for you once you're free to pursue your creative talents. In astrology, the planet Mercury is considered to be in detriment and fall in the sign of Pisces. Therefore you need to face the challenge of keeping your thoughts on a positive path, in a manner which can benefit both yourself and those who you care about.

Venus in Aries

With Venus in the sign of Aries you'll pursue a partner ardently and hastily, preferring to be the initiator of the relationship rather than the recipient of someone else's plan of action. Initially you've great enthusiasm for your loved one, and it's important to keep the spark alight throughout the relationship. For you enjoy a challenge in your relationships, and need to be wary of losing interest after the initial excitement of the chase. You do well with a partner who allows you plenty of freedom, because you value your independence and freedom. If you become involved with someone who likes to be in control and limits your personal freedom your relationship could suffer. On the whole you find it quite easy to detach emotionally from a relationship. It's not that you're heartless or lack commitment. In fact you are quite ardent in your commitment. It's simply that when it comes to relationships you've an independent attitude. This attitude is also reflected in money matters.

Mars in Leo

The planet Mars in the sign of Leo indicates that you have an honest and straightforward approach to life, meeting most of life's challenges head on. You're fearless and independent in your own life with the ability to be a strong leader for others less forthright. You're a passionate and generous individual with the ability to take other people under your wing, as long as they show some appreciation of your gifts. For these reasons you're often promoted to positions of authority and public prominence. You have a strong need to express your personal creativity, enjoying centre stage in most of your activities. You may even literally take centre stage in a theatrical performance or on a podium, as you have natural flair for the dramatic side of life. You're a formidable friend and foe as you have strong will power and the confidence to carry through most of your adventurous objectives. You need to be wary of becoming too arrogant and taking on more than you can handle.

Jupiter in Sagittarius

You've the planet Jupiter in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius in your birth chart indicating that you've a love of life which is infectious and a blessing to all who come in contact with you. You're an open and generous person, fond of seeing the lighter side of life. Your sense of humour stands you in good stead throughout your life. Other people admire your positive outlook and enjoy spending time in your company, as well as offering you favours. You love adventure of all kinds whether it be travelling around your own country or to distant shores. You particularly enjoy exploring different cultures and religions, either through academic study or travelling abroad. Your thirst for knowledge sometimes seems insatiable. Although you're a perennial student, you also enjoy sharing your knowledge with other people through writing or teaching. In fact you can be an inspirational teacher. You may also be fond of sport, particularly adventurous sports. The planet Jupiter is considered to be particularly favoured in the sign of Sagittarius and therefore you're likely to have success in whatever avenue you undertake.

Saturn in Leo

The planet Saturn in the sign of Leo signifies that you take pride in your work, and have an ability to build personal authority. You've a strong will and are determined to succeed in your objectives, even if it means forgoing a few pleasures along the way. In fact you can be passionate about the projects in which you become involved. This positive attitude can benefit your ambitions, although at times you can display too much pride and arrogance and other people start to resent your attitude. This is particularly true if you're placed in a position of authority and let the power go to your head. Those working for you could resent your high-handed approach. The reason for these difficulties, astrologically speaking, is that the planet Saturn is considered to be in a detrimental position in the sign of Leo. However, on the whole you're generous and can develop the ability to achieve your ambitions through thoughtfulness and by including the ideas and plans of other people. Your strong will-power and determination also help you overcome any obstacles strewn on your path.

Uranus in Gemini

The planet Uranus was in the sign of Gemini from 1942 - 1949. It's important to note that Uranus spends a long time in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Uranus in your chart. Uranus in the sign of Gemini indicates that you belong to a generation which becomes focussed on new forms of communication and the world's networks. This generation is responsible for original and inventive ideas which change the world's communication network. Your creativity soars when you're tackling these issues.

Neptune in Libra

The planet Neptune was in the sign of Libra from 1942 - 1957. It's important to note that Neptune takes about 164 years to make a complete cycle, spending about thirteen years in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Neptune in your chart. Neptune in the sign of Libra indicates that you belong to a generation possessing the ability to view human relationships from a more spiritual overall viewpoint, rather than the rules and regulations of the previous (Virgo) generation. It's during this time that some confusion over right human relations may reign. People of this generation will aim to achieve a balance in human relationships. You'll also be concerned with justice.

Pluto in Leo

The planet Pluto was in the sign of Leo from 1939 - 1957. It's important to note that Pluto takes about 248 years to make a complete cycle, spending 12 - 32 years in each sign, and therefore the interpretation applies to a generation rather than the individual. For a more individual interpretation you need to look at the house position of Pluto in your chart. Pluto in the sign of Leo suggests that you belong to a generation of people concerned with the lack of or acquiring of power. People of this generation have the ability to use power both positively and negatively. World power and leadership are also important issues for these people.

Chiron in Scorpio

Intense events and experiences involving grief may be part of your journey towards wholeness. Although emotionally painful, ultimately these events will bring healing on the very deepest levels. Sexual intimacy can be fraught with issues too, but will also replenish the inner recesses of your soul. Your wounds are likely to open you to powerful processes of transformation and lead you to investigate the nature of the psyche. You might become interested in psychology and be gifted as a healer. Feeling powerless, money worries, sexual problems or intimacy issues, or problems with reproductive organs, colon, bladder, or the lower back region, can be signals that it is time to explore your own psyche.

There might be some unresolved issues from the past, perhaps from childhood that you need to explore from time to time. Undertaking psychotherapy, or some other form of emotional healing might be the very thing that sets you on a path towards helping others in the same way. Because you are sensitive, you tend to hide your vulnerability and pain behind a strong persona, but you are a survivor.

You are likely to be drawn towards exploring life's mysteries. As you delve within, you will discover untold riches. Getting in touch with your emotions and feelings might be painful, but it will prove ultimately rewarding. Your soul will be replenished and your world will be transformed. Let go of the past, for it may be holding you back.

Part of your journey through life will take you on a profoundly powerful process that will ultimately prove rewarding, for it will lead you to a new beginning, where you will be empowered and more fully in touch with your emotional centre.

Psychotherapy, detoxifying, past life regression, colonic irrigation, relaxation techniques, meditation, hypnotherapy, or dream work, are powerful mediums that you might explore.

Planets in Houses

Sun in 12th House

The progressed Sun moves slowly through the houses. The twelfth house of your chart is currently emphasized indicating that you are working behind the scenes on something significant. This could mean that you are going through a more introspective phase, contemplating the universe. On the other hand it could indicate that you are spending many hours concentrating on a particular long-term project. Perhaps you have a sense that you are preparing for greater things? If so, look to see when your Sun progresses into your first house. This is when your life is likely to turnaround.

Moon in 1st House

This is your time to shine, to receive the rewards of your previous hard work and accolades for your achievements. Perhaps you have been secretly working away on a project, concentrating your efforts on behind the scenes activities or quietly pouring your energies into a budding relationship? Now you can step forward and declare your interests. For instance you may have been working quietly and steadily on a written project, which you are hoping will one day be published. Now is the right time for you to seek publishers and recognition for your work. Perhaps you have been persistently working on a business idea, consulting financial planners and setting up a network of contacts and colleagues, searching for the appropriate venue or establishing a home office. Now you can reap the rewards of your networking. Whatever the scenario now is the right time to assert yourself and consciously seek your happiness. It is also the ideal time to reassess your personal image and habits. A new health regime will give you the boost needed to cope with this phase. You may change your personal fashion style, your hair and clothes in a way that more authentically reflects your personality. The sign of your progressed Moon will also show you the manner in which you are likely to assert this new assertive side of your nature. For instance if your progressed Moon is in a fire or air sign then you are likely to be more gregarious and inspirational, making quite dramatic changes. However, if your progressed Moon is in an earth or water sign then you may have a more steady approach.

Mercury in 1st House

Sharpen your intellectual sword because you are going to need it. Communications, contracts, merchandise and anything connected with your mind and wit are coming to the forefront. You may have been contemplating many areas of your life in the past but now you are gaining understanding. As a result spoken and written projects may begin. You may also embark on short journeys that keep you busy, demand your skills and encourage you out of your habitual modus operandi. There is no rush but you may find yourself juggling quite a few balls during this new phase of your life. If you have a bright wit and intellect then you are likely to sparkle. Quick wit and repartee, accompanied with substance, will take you far. You may also decide to study or learn a new skill which in turns propels you onto a different path.

Venus in 1st House

During this phase you are likely to feel like a butterfly emerging from the chrysallis - a very beautiful and gracious butterfly. You could time the moment that this lucky planet moved across your happiness axis and that would give you some clues as to the exact influence. However, generally speaking you are emerging in a way that you fully understand your own nature, your value system and what makes you happy. As a result you may attract many friends, and lovers if you wish. You may also discover one special love. The true love that you feel right now is like the fictional character, Shirley Valentine, experiences. She says, "I've fallen in love with the idea of living. Because we don't do what we want to do, do we? We do what we have to do and pretend that it's what we want to do." Now it is your time to gain more joy, meaning and love in your own life. Start with some self love and the rest will follow.

Mars in 7th House

You have a strong drive for partnership when this feisty planet moves through the 7th House of marriage, contracts and treaties. You need to make sure that you are heading in the right direction when it comes to partnership. Otherwise you may experience conflict. Sometimes this movement can indicate that something has changed in your life that equally triggers a change in your marriage or business partnership. This change could herald an urge for more freedom or for more togetherness, depending on other aspects your astrology. Either way you need to negotiate the way ahead carefully in order to attract co-operation rather than conflict.

Jupiter in 10th house

In your 10th house you have the planet Jupiter, known for its expansive, positive and confident nature. Careers involved in expanding people's understanding of themselves and the world around them, or administering to individual’s religious and soul-needs are Jupiterian and suited to your temperament. Philosophers, philosophy teachers, the realms of literature, ministers, clergymen, motivational instructors, educators and coaches are under the influence of Jupiter and any of these roles would provide a focus for this expansive energy. Jupiter also is associated with team sports, the sporting industry, adventure and is connected to horse racing, sporting goods, team sports, explorer, adventure guides. One of the consistent themes in your vocation will be the urge to expand and stretch yourself beyond the limits that were set by your family and culture. You have the urge to exceed the expectations that were set down.

Jupiterian vocations educate and inspire others to a greater understanding; therefore professors, university lecturers and tutors, teachers of higher wisdom utilise the archetype of Jupiter in their careers. Cross-cultural contacts, travel and dealing with international concerns are also part of pattern, including vocations in the foreign service, import/export trade, protocol, ambassadors, foreign trade, interpreters, missionaries, travel consultants and industry, foreign affairs, international contacts. As part of education Jupiter rules the dissemination of information and ideas: publishing, author, advertising, telecommunications industry

As the chief Olympian Zeus (Jupiter) was the most influential of the gods and this archetype seeks to influence and impact others with their ideas, generally through 'education'. Teaching, instructing, publishing, coaching, guiding and mentoring is the common denominator of all Jupiterian professions. Your urge will be to educate and disseminate information that will enhance understanding and improve the quality of life. It is imperative that you bring your vision and your ethics to whatever career you choose. You are an eternal student and traveller and it is important that you bring your visionary and optimistic spirit into any role you play in the world.

Saturn in 6th house

Saturn, the planet associated with the 10th house of career, is in your 6th house, suggesting that vocation is highly significant in your life. Here Saturn’s task is to define the self through work and become masterful and authoritative in the sphere of employment. Therefore Saturn is well placed in the 6th house, poised for hard work and success. That is the potentiality of Saturn in the 6th sector of work; but what is the reality? As an archetype Saturn often manifests as being critical because of its high standards and perfectionism, attitudes which you might project onto your work environment expecting it to conform to your values and high standards. The reality of course is that work will not be perfect and you will make mistakes along the way. With this in mind the possibilities for success increase.

First step is to acknowledge your ambition and your goals. Innately you want to play by the rules, work hard and ethically, adhere to a routine and get acknowledged for your accomplishments. Unfortunately the work world does not always have the same work ethic as you. Duty and responsibility to your job are high, but others, even your boss, may not share this attitude. In fact you may have already experienced a string of bosses whose competency and dedication were no match for yours. Or found out that all your hard work and dedication will not be utilised in the final process. Feeling defeated, you may turn to complaining about your situation and the lack of management or integrity. Important that you recognise this is a challenge to your authority and autonomy. In other words you get to experience what you won't do when you're the boss. You work best when given the responsibility and control; therefore if that is not there, grumbling will not make it happen. You have to. Part of the fate of Saturn in the 6th house is feeling alone to craft and shape your own job. But once you recognise your hard work and dedication is for your success, not others, you feel more able to guide your own course.

Control is important for you. Therefore you might consider self-employment, or certainly employment where you know the rules and that the opportunity to move ahead is clear. You can work well in a hierarchical structure when there are bosses you respect. Unfortunately, this might be rare. When it occurs then you will take advantage of the learning curve. But if you do not respect your superiors turn the situation to your advantage. You will grow into any job so take your time. Time is on your side. Becoming an authority or at least highly skilled in your chosen field is very important, so you may find that study and training are part of your job spec. Advancement is important for you so it might be necessary to periodically review your goals and your progress. Time management is also important, as you need to make sure you are able to satisfy all the commitments that you take on. When the pressures of work become greater than you can bear you feel it in your back. Bodily aches, a sore back, stiff knees and pains in the neck all remind you that it is time to relax and take time away from work routines. Clocking off is as important as clocking in.

One of your great assets is your persistence and your focus. But when acknowledgement is not there give yourself a pat on the back, a reward or a bonus. While your promotions may not come as fast as you would like, you are noticed for your efforts and achievements and will eventually be acknowledged for these. But you need to stay where you are to find that out!

Uranus in 4th House

The planet Uranus is in the 4th House of your birth chart suggesting that you've a busy, unusual and unconventional home-life. As a child you may have experienced sudden changes in the home environment, or a general sense of being unsettled. It's even possible that you were estranged from your parents. As an adult you may seek unusual homes, or continue to experience restlessness. In some cases home is a positive experience during childhood - an original and unconventional environment in which everyone expresses their own creative urges. Either way it's possible that as an adult you've a preference for the open road, rather than a need to settle and put down roots. If you do settle in one place then it's likely to be a unique home, reflecting your individual nature. You may choose to live on your own, because you need a home and family environment which enables you to express your individuality, one from which you can come and go without restrictions. Property development and investment are also affected by this placement of the planet Uranus. You're likely to experience sudden gains and sudden losses through investment in property, and need to be wary of spending your old age in poverty as a result.

Neptune in 8th House

+Neptune Square Pluto When the planets Neptune and Pluto combine to influence the 8th House of your Birth Chart your financial portfolio is subject to some volatile forces. On the positive side of the ledger you can accumulate great wealth, strike it rich. Your challenge then is to make the most of your good fortune, rather than squandering it. This is the negative side of the ledger. You may have difficulty making sound investments. Forces at work seem to sabotage your efforts. On the other hand you may have a passionate interest in the world’s economy, natural resources and politic organisations. As such you could expend your time, personal income and energy becoming embroiled in matters larger than your own personal interests. As such material wealth is repellent rather than attractive. All of your personal resources may be directed into helping the planet and society in general. Money may enable you to pursue your passions.

Pluto in 6th house

In your horoscope Pluto is in the domain of the 6th house and your task is to find ways to express the archetype of the underworld and death in your daily life. While this may seem an ominous task change is an everyday part of our experiences. Reflect on how you might be able to bring this powerful force into the working sphere.

Mythologically Pluto resides below the visible world, surfacing infrequently. However when he does make his presence known, it is life altering. Therefore with Pluto in this sphere your work experience is transforming and confronting. Through work you are drawn into the deeper aspects of yourself in order to learn to trust yourself. The nature of Pluto is to reveal what is buried and it is consistent with this archetype to suggest that work is therapeutic by nature forcing you into a confrontation with the self. What is it you said you would never do? What is it you fear? Well with Pluto in the 6th house it is in the work sphere where you will confront these taboos. Quite literally you may work in an area that deals with what is unmentionable, secret or buried.

Professionally this gives you a depth of character. This may lead you into therapeutic careers, occupations that involve loss, death, transition, or employment which is intense. Like an archaeologist you like to peel away the layers to find the truth and therefore have a knack for research, crisis work or change management. You may also be involved with finance, especially the investment of other people's resources. Your best work is done in a crisis and therefore destiny may lead you into an occupation where your critical skills are needed to manage or advise. However what is very important is that you also are aware of your need for privacy and respect. You work well with others when you need to, but probably do better on your own.

Therefore you need to reflect on the nature of your vocation and become comfortable with the intense nature of work. You have a propensity to become fixated or obsessed with work detail and perhaps do work best in an intense way. You need to be vigilant that work does not consume you or abduct you away from your personal life. Because the work environment constellates your strength and conviction you often experience other colleagues or work mates being intimated by or envious of you. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to change this except to recognise their discomfort with your intensity and your commitment to truth. Certainly you cannot allow yourself to be disempowered by others' weaknesses. On the other hand you will also draw powerful and insightful people in your orbit who will change your attitudes to work. The sphere of work will offer you the opportunities to encounter your integrity and honesty, confronting you to be true to yourself.

;=====================================================================

NorthNode in 3rd House

The North Node in the 3rd house brings the issues of how we coordinate and collate information to make sense of it rationally, so that we can communicate it effectively to others in our environment. This task is important since you need to know that the world around you is not haphazard and that you are not pursuing pointless connections or unnecessary detours. This suggests you need to be cognizant of the immediate environment and its boundaries exploring its environs before you feel confident enough. Curiosity and interest are prompts you can use to help expand your territory and push the boundaries, but it is important not to be sidetracked by impossible schemes, vague philosophies or charismatic ideals. Finding your place in any system is important. Originally this may have been with your siblings or friends; however vocationally it is important to be aware of your place in the corporation and with co-workers and colleagues. The culture of the work place is an important consideration for you and therefore you might take some time before you settle into a routine. Your early work experience is broad and you might have to exhaust some wanderlust before you can establish yourself professionally.

Naturally you have a worldly intelligence. You instinctually understand cultural and philosophical complexities and are more comfortable than most with the bigger picture. You might feel like a citizen of the world, not bound to your place of origin. Vocationally you may be challenged to express and disseminate this understanding, whether that is through written or oral communication, the creative arts or another class of dissemination or broadcasting. One of your developmental tasks expressed through your vocation will be to challenge yourself to be articulate about what you know. Like a journalist you may find yourself expressing the complexities of human nature to others who do not have your level of understanding and far sightedness. Your nodal invitation is to express your vast understanding in a succinct and everyday language. You are drawn to the mystical and metaphysical sphere but your destiny is to translate the imaginative into the practical.

Chiron in 9th House

Relationships are delicately balanced at the best of times. A loving relationship offers the opportunity for healing of emotional wounds from the past and personal growth and fulfilment. When two people relate in a tender way then it is possible to provide the greatest opportunities for healing rather than more hurtful experiences. Working through emotionally difficult times is when Chiron is working at its best. At times in relationship, one person may inadvertently trigger the other’s hurt feelings. These feelings may be left over from your childhood, or from a previous relationship. Either way your current relationship is an opportunity to relate differently. A loving union provides the chance to let go of the past and experience intimacy and true love now. This placement of Chiron in your Combined Chart means that cultural backgrounds play an integral role in this union. A marital union needs to be based on a very sound understanding of the role that religion, politics and other big issues play in each other’s lives. Do you share common goals? If you come from different backgrounds, different countries and/or different religions then you need to be sensitive to each other’s differences. This sensitivity can bring about deep understanding and a stronger bond. Insensitivity can be very hurtful.

Nodes

NorthNode in Taurus

You were born with the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio, which suggests that you have an innate ability to draw on the resources of others and utilise them for a beneficial outcome. Resources are important to you and the feeling that you can rely on your own assets and reserves is essential. While you might feel drawn to emotionally and financially depend on others it is important to build your own capital and security. Qualities that are important to develop on your vocational course are loyalty, trustworthiness and reliability, as these will help you feel content and successful, not only in what you do, but who you are as a person. Your vocational invitation is to develop your self worth and value through your vocation and come to intimately know how resourceful you are.

Vocationally there is a need to be occupied with what is crucial and important; to be able to feel you can get to the core of your tasks, and to uncover and expose what needs to be changed. You have inherited a knack of being able to manage crisis, repair and renovate what has become ill or damaged, and rebuild and transform what is out dated. You could also be adept at enabling others to delve deeply into themselves to uncover negative patterns from the past, being astute at healing and therapeutic situations. Now these innate skills need to be focused and one of the best ways is a 'hands-on' approach.

You need to be able to trust those you work with and for and therefore you might hold yourself back for fear of being misjudged or misunderstood. When you team up with others you can be highly successful; however your path of destiny suggests to first build up your own strength and security before you share your resources with others. Once you have accumulated your own resources and assets you will be better equipped to be met on that intense and intimate level you desire, then the horizon of possibilities with another is endless. While you have a deep understanding of the emotional needs and desires of others to realise your maximum potential you need to let others find their own emotional and financial support systems. Vocationally you seek to be secure and the dragon you battle is the regressive urge to let others do this for you. Developing patience, substance and a core of integrity, helps enormously in your feeling successful. Your wealth lies in the depth of soul and intimacy that you are able to provide others.

Aspects

Sun Soft Jupiter

The Sun is making a favourable contact with the positive planet Jupiter in your chart meaning that you're blessed with good fortune and a happy nature. You've the ability to land on your feet no matter how difficult a situation. This is partly because you're destined to be in the right place at the right time throughout your life. It's possible that a father or grandfather figure has given you a helping hand in life, teaching you to have confidence in your own abilities. Your success is also due to the fact that your positive attitude to life attracts good fortune. Your optimism and enthusiasm are infectious. You're popular and generous, and tend to shine in the company of other people. You like to embrace life and all it has to offer. As a result your life tends to read like an adventure story, possibly including travels around the globe. You're not necessarily attracted to rugged adventure, preferring to travel in style. It would be unusual for you to go without comforts. Even a camping trip may involve the latest equipment guaranteed to ensure comfort. You also get plenty of chances to expand your mind, whether this be through the experiences of your lifetime or through study in an academic institution. You're likely to shine in your studies, eventually making an inspirational teacher if you choose this path. You may be surprised by the number of people who have been impressed by your attitude, to the extent that they have felt inspired to change their own lives. You're likely to achieve your goals whatever path is followed, and perhaps to help others achieve theirs.

Sun Soft Uranus

The Sun is making contact with the planet Uranus in your birth chart meaning that you're a highly-talented and unique individual, determined to carve your own destiny rather than follow traditional paths. You're brimming with original and innovative ideas, which you're eager to put into action. Your goals may change during the course of your life, but this doesn't concern you, as long as you've a range of options. Doggedly independent, you like to be given the freedom to explore your talents and to learn by your own mistakes. You respect other people's individual rights, and expect them to respect yours. It's not that you're selfish. Quite the contrary. Your goal is to use your talents and ideas for the benefit of other people, perhaps even the whole of humanity. You've strong will power and are a leader rather than a follower, refusing to bow to another person's will. Others may see you as arrogant, wilful and disruptive at times, but they are attracted to your electric personality. Like moths to a flame they are fascinated by your tremendous energy and the unique manner in which you view life. You often have flashes of intuition and are capable of sudden, decisive action, which can take other people by surprise. It's possible that you've inherited your talents from a male member of your family, in particular your father. It's likely that your father, or an important father figure, has had a marked effect on your life. Perhaps you were encouraged to break free of tradition in order to develop your interests, or perhaps the absence of a dominant male meant that you experienced a lot of freedom as a child. In some cases this influence can indicate a strong father figure against whom you rebel. Either way, it's your need to be treated as an individual that's paramount. Life is full of surprises and that's the way that you like it.

Sun Hard Mars

The Sun is making a difficult contact with the planet Mars in your birth chart meaning that your life goals are constantly being challenged. This is most frustrating because you know what you want to achieve, but obstacles often seem to stand in your way. As a young child it's likely that strong parent figures or difficult circumstances prevented you from getting all that you wanted. Now as an adult the battle continues, and you feel that you have to fight to achieve your goals. You may not be aware of how often you're jeopardising your own success by trying too hard and tackling projects and other people too aggressively. You need to learn the difference between assertion and aggression. You may believe that you're simply stating your own case clearly, but others believe that you're being pushy and dogmatic. The positive side is that you've plenty of energy to achieve your goals, you enjoy taking risks and are not afraid of confronting difficulties. You simply need to find a healthy outlet for your enthusiasm and energy. The challenge is to use your will power so that you can achieve success through co-operation with others.

Sun Opposition Saturn

This is a serious moment in your life and practicality is the theme. One area of your life is coming to a close and another is beginning. This change may be a natural progression in your life, or it could be an unwelcome obstacle. You may feel weighed down by your own or other people's expectations. It is time for you to apply yourself to the practicalities rather than the emotions. Focusing on your feelings is not productive right now. When you feel overwhelmed by the alterations in your life remind yourself of the adage: "When one door closes, another door opens". Later, with the benefit of hindsight, you will see the benefits of this period even if you cannot see them right now.

Sun Hard Saturn

The Sun is making a difficult contact with the planet Saturn in your chart indicating that you have to face some hardships before achieving your life goals. It's possible that you had a difficult childhood, experiencing either emotional or financial troubles. Perhaps your father, or a father figure, was an imposing and restrictive force in your life. As a child you may have felt imprisoned, unable to communicate your innermost thoughts and feelings. You may have been frightened to venture forth in the world. As an adult you may still have difficulty expressing yourself and at times feel that external circumstances are still somewhat onerous. You're fearful, worrying about the outcome of decisions and actions. On a positive note childhood difficulties can become the basis for adult wisdom, particularly if you're able to overcome your fears. As you grow older you learn that your natural reserve stands you in good stead, giving you the ability to stand back and assess situations. Your confidence grows enabling you to achieve your goals through attention to detail and hard work.

Moon Hard Uranus

The Moon and the planet Uranus are connected in your chart suggesting that your home life is unusual and changeable. It could be that you've difficulty settling down in one place, or that you live in extraordinary surroundings. In some way your family life is unusual. This isn't necessarily a negative experience, although it could be upsetting. Perhaps you, or a member of your family, have an unusual hobby which has taken over the household, or necessity requires that your family often changes residence. The erratic nature of your household probably stems from your childhood experiences. Perhaps your family was different from traditional families, or circumstances led to emotional upsets in the family home. It's possible that you suffered from a sense of insecurity as a child as a result of changing family life. Your mother, or an important mother figure, may have been an unusual or unstable influence in your early childhood. A continuing sense of a lack of security in your home and family may be a source of emotional distress, as you struggle to come to terms with conflicting emotions. However, you're a resourceful, inventive and independent person, and will eventually learn to blend your individual need for excitement and stimulation in the home environment with a need for comfort and security.

Moon Hard Saturn

Much of your adult life has been spent trying to overcome the difficulties that you faced as a child in your home and family. Astrologically speaking this is because the planet Saturn is contacting the Moon in your birth chart. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Saturn had a malefic influence in a person's chart. In your case your early home life has been adversely affected. The extent of this effect depends largely on other influences in your chart. In some cases it can mean that your childhood home lacked spontaneity and warmth, but was well-organised and structured in a manner which helped you to feel supported and safe. However, it's more likely that circumstances in your family led to you feeling that home was a cold and unsupportive environment. This could have been one painful incident such as the loss of a family member, or it could have been the result of years of hardship. It's possible that one of your parents, perhaps your mother, was a strict and severe influence, unable to show you the affection that you felt you deserved. As a result it's likely that you're somewhat shy as an adult, lacking in self-confidence and sensitive to criticism. You may be emotionally reserved. Perhaps you have chosen at some stage in your life to live in solitude rather than risk the lack of affection and warmth that you felt as a child. As you grow older and work on your self-esteem you can build a lasting maturity. You develop an inner self-confidence which helps you build firm foundations in your life and achieve your ambitions, as well as loving family relationships. You work solidly to build yourself a secure and firm footing, earning the respect of those around you. You can succeed in business and in your career, particularly through being noticed by your superiors. You may also benefit through investments in land and property.

Moon Hard Jupiter

The Moon is making a difficult aspect to the planet Jupiter in your birth chart indicating that you struggle with your tendency to be self-indulgent and attached to the comforts of life. You've difficulty finding a sense of equilibrium in your home life. Either your home seems so comfortable that it's difficult to rouse yourself to attend social occasions, or you're never home. This isn't necessarily a problem for you, but can cause difficulties for members of your family. Perhaps these problems stem from your childhood. As a child your mother may have been over-indulgent, showering you with affection and attention and inadvertently making life a little too comfortable. As a result you may either have had difficulty finding the motivation to leave the nest, or have fled for greener pastures far too soon. It's also possible that you've unrealistic expectations of yourself and your family members, which can occasionally cause friction. On a positive note you're warm and benevolent and enjoy spending time with your family. It's also possible that you share common religious or spiritual beliefs, and that your home is a hospitable meeting place.

Mercury Hard Mars

The planets Mercury and Mars are combining in your chart in a manner which suggest that you and your communications with other people tend to be fiery. This can be positive, particularly if you're a spokesperson for a group or person with a cause. You've good intellectual powers, a shrewd and clever mind. However, you're impulsive and quick-tempered, and it's more likely that you spend much of your life mopping up after misunderstandings. Your own perceptions of yourself may be that you're enthusiastic and perceptive, but others can see you as aggressive and critical. Without realising it you easily create opposition from other people through your impulsive actions or sharp tongue. You're talkative and enjoy a fiery discussion, but inadvertently you're driving others away and forcing them to adopt your opinion. It's also possible that you're quick to take offence, believing that others are criticising you when it's you who need to learn compromise. For these reasons you may have difficulty in your early childhood education and schooling, and indeed until you've learnt restraint and tolerance. This is particularly true of risky ventures, which tend to attract your attention. You need to be more cautious. Otherwise you're likely to suffer loss through a rash of business deals, law suits and dodgy contracts. You may benefit from an interest in sports, the military, and business.

Venus Hard Mars

The planets Venus and Mars are combining unfavourably in your chart indicating that you struggle to balance your own needs and the needs of your partners in relationships. You see-saw between wanting closeness and freedom. On the one hand you seek adventure on your own, on the other you want to be close to your partner. The ideal is a balance between the two. You're charming and assertive, passionate and alive, and admire these qualities in a potential intimate partner. You love to share your adventures with your partner, and it's likely that your relationship will inspire both your and your partner to explore new territory. However, you may become impatient with your partner, or aggressive and irritable when he or she fails to keep up with your activities. You can be equally impatient with yourself, but this isn't necessarily any comfort to your partner.

Mars Soft Jupiter

Your friends have difficulty keeping up with you because the planets Mars and Jupiter are combining to give a boundless source of energy. On the whole you're a lively and resourceful person, who delights in good health and keeping busy. Any course of action is entered into with confidence and determination to succeed, which you're likely to do. You're always ready to help those who will help themselves, but you've no qualms about leaving behind those who are determined to rest on their laurels. You certainly know how to get yourself and other people motivated, and can make a good leader or manager. In fact you're quite ambitious, not afraid of tackling big projects. Others may think that you've taken on more than you can handle, but you usually prove them wrong. You're generous, self confident and lucky, with a tendency to go where angels fear to tread. You're also courageous, approaching life with gusto regardless of the consequences. You may be particularly keen to travel, enjoying the stimulation of visiting other venues. You could direct your energy to achievement in sports, politics or travel. Your only problem will be suffering from "burn-out" because you don't know when to stop and rest.

Jupiter Soft Saturn

The planets Jupiter and Saturn are making a beneficial aspect in your birth chart indicating success in achieving your life goals. You're wise and perceptive, with a talent for creative ideas and the ability to put those ideas into action. You're blessed with a wonderful sense of timing, knowing exactly when to make the right moves to achieve a desired result, whether it be for yourself or for a group project. You've just the right blend of optimism and realism. For these reasons you can enjoy success in self-employment or be a valued member of a team. Whether you're self-employed or not, you work well within a structured system and therefore can do well in business. It's likely that both conventional and unorthodox approaches to life appeal, as you understand the advantages in learning from tradition, as well as the benefits of trying new ideas. You've a chance to be very successful as you're neither profligate nor mean, but have a balance. This is a very fortunate aspect. If you don't take your abilities for granted but use them wisely you can gain great success in life.

Jupiter Hard Uranus

The planets Jupiter and Uranus are making a difficult aspect in your chart indicating that your unusual approach to achieving your goals can sometimes land you in hot water! You're keen to change things in this world because you can see where traditional methods have failed. You see no reason to continue with out-moded traditions, preferring unconventional and new ideas. The trouble is that at times you lack tact and diplomacy. You're impatient to see results, not realising that your very impatience is jeopardising your success. Repeatedly throughout your life, experience is likely to teach you that success isn't an overnight accomplishment. Results don't always come quickly. Perhaps you could remind yourself of the motto "all good things come to those who wait". It's worth persevering with your goals and taking a positive approach to overcoming the obstacles in your life. You can achieve a great deal in the world through your innovative and unusual methods. You may also benefit by joining with like-minded individuals, perhaps in the fields of metaphysics, unorthodox religion or science.

Jupiter Hard Moon

The planet Jupiter is making a difficult aspect to the Moon in your chart suggesting that you tend to be self-indulgent lacking the motivation to achieve your goals, or perhaps you've unrealistic expectations of yourself and your loved ones. You may lack faith in yourself and the fortitude needed to accomplish tasks on your own. It's possible that you put other people, particularly women, on a pedestal. You need to acquire self-discipline in order to complete tasks, which in turn boosts your confidence. Once this is achieved then you're likely to succeed in your objectives.

Saturn Soft Uranus

You're recognised in your career for your ability to plan and organise, making the most of available resources while adopting new and innovative approaches to tasks. This is because of the combination of the planets of Saturn and Uranus, which indicate a mix of initiative and good old-fashioned common sense - a formidable blend. You're independent, resourceful and self-motivated, all of which enable you to achieve success in whatever you turn your mind to. You may discover that you've natural abilities in the fields of science, mathematics, research, business organisation, industry and metaphysics. It's likely that you'll succeed in any career that utilises your gift for blending the old with the new.

Neptune sextile Midheaven

With Neptune forming a sextile to your Midheaven, your natural psychic ability provides many opportunities to use creative imagination. It also sets up the opportunity for self-doubt that in turn tests your core beliefs and allows for creative change.

When the world showers you with glamour and other people try to convince you of realities that don't mesh with your own perceptions, your Angels can help you to express compassion for others, while understanding your own motivations.

On the plus side, Tamiel supports your receptivity, empathy and sensitivity. Awareness of Mind is enhanced through angelic associations, and your contemplative nature expands as you explore your own ego. This may sound odd, as many spiritual belief systems indicate that ego is to be avoided or quelled. However, if you go through ego issues instead of around them, you are better able to resolve them.

Tamiel also supports you by revealing your greatest mental and emotional weaknesses, so that you may resolve them. For example, you may be susceptible to deception, either from others or through yourself. Your Angels help you to perceive deception and to dispel it.

You have a powerful imagination that can be utilized in the search for self-awareness and spiritual consciousness, and your Angels are there to help you.

Neptune Soft Pluto

The planets Neptune and Pluto both move slowly through the zodiac, and therefore any connection between the two planets affects birth charts for a short period of time. You were born in such a time. This combination in your chart means that you're interested in opportunities to bring about fundamental change to human values. You are aware of injustices in society and, depending on other influences in your chart, may prefer to fight against them rather than sit back and accept the ills of society. Your creative urges may be linked to politics, or expressing your political views through the arts or spiritual or charitable organisations.

Pluto sextile Neptune

With Pluto Sextile Neptune, your life is enriched with opportunities presented by the Angels Metatron and Tamiel. Metatron has been called the King of Angels and the Chief of the Ministering Angels. This Angel is thought to be the pillar of fire the Jews followed in their exodus from Egypt. He is a certain link between you and the divine. Metatron's association with Tamiel, the Angel of Primordial Energies, is extremely powerful.

You undoubtedly experience supernatural events and conditions during your life. Your Angels provide this resource and can help you refine it. Psychic impressions and intuition become second nature to you after a while. You learn to act on intuition in much the same way you would act on advice from your accountant.

One facet of the path of personal integrity for you involves purification of your soul. This means elevating your thoughts above petty jealousy and anger. While you may never overcome negative thinking entirely, working with your Angels will lift you up, step by step, to thoughts of compassion and love. Love overcomes fear and compassion overcomes hatred.

One possible expression of this aspect of your birth chart is that you have at least one extrasensory ability. At first you may experience some confusion in interpreting psychic and intuitive information as it comes to you. You are likely to overcome this confusion once you develop the necessary comprehension of your abilities and thus develop your psychic skills. Meditation each day allows your Angels to contact you more directly to help in this area.

You have the power of a storyteller combined with the wisdom of a seer. You could write fiction or dramatic scripts, and your poetry can become the liquid fire of inspiration and soothing balm for the soul.

NorthNode Soft Moon

The North Node and the Moon are combining to suggest that you're being urged to come to terms with the emotional side of your nature. You may have difficulty expressing your emotions, particularly in groups of people. This is an area which you need to develop throughout your life, so that you can learn to use your intuition. This will better help you to pursue your purpose in life.

SouthNode Soft Moon

The South Node and the Moon are combining to suggest that you're particularly aware of the importance of emotions, and are being encouraged to use your knowledge in a constructive way. However, there is a tendency for you to become stuck in negative emotional patterns of relating to other people. In other words you have difficulty expressing your emotions, and this may lead to periods of self-imposed isolation and needless worry about the future. This also creates obstacles for you achieving your purpose in life. Your challenge is to forge ahead with your life without relying too heavily on your emotions, and yet remaining responsive to other people.

Chiron square Sun

You are person who truly wants to change the world in some way, although you may or may not ever do anything about it. This urge stems from something very subjective, your wound has forced you to go through at least one, but usually several major changes in your self-image and sense of purpose. Any Chiron square throws the other body off balance, and often, so that the person must make time to re-establish the balance.

Most likely, the wound stemmed from your relationship with your father, or other male role model. Perhaps you never could understand what your parent expected of you, what they expected you to be or how they wanted you to behave, and so no matter what you did, you never received their approval to help you feel good about yourself. Or perhaps you were made to feel that you had to stay in the background, that your parent was much more important than you. No matter what, you developed into an adult with a poor sense of who you are and your potential. And as a result you became a searcher, trying to find your true self, your calling, your ultimate purpose, never feeling completely sure you are on the right path.

Once you have learned to leave a sense of ‘ultimate purpose’ open to change, and have learned that your self-image must be allowed to adapt through new circumstances, you then begin to thrill in self-discovery and in discovering more about the universe. At the same time this process goes on, you should begin to want to do something for the world in some way to correct an imbalance, open a door, teach, research.

NOTE: Some people never do accept change and are forced to cope with one disruption after another. If you continually fight the healing growth of Chiron, this aspect can become a symbol of feelings of persecution, as you nearly always see the disruptions as coming from external forces.

Chiron trine Venus

This aspect gives you a unique style, your own manner of expression, which can truly be said to be one-of-a-kind. One of Venus’ areas is the aesthetic sense, and yours is unique, and can be said to be quite different from that of the average person. You are able, for example, to see beauty in places that others do not, and you find it very difficult to appreciate superficial beauty. Being different in this way may have caused you some anguish growing up, as you may have been ridiculed or even ostracized.

As an adult, you continue to have your own perception of beauty, but healing from the wound for you is, at least in part, being able to use the emotions and feelings you experienced as creative tools. Many with this aspect try their hand at some form of artistic expression, and whether only for yourself, or on a larger scale, you should be doing this as well, as it will help you to heal and share your unique perceptions with others.

A very positive effect of this aspect is that you are able to focus on things others miss, or things people take for granted, and see the beauty there. If you choose to go into the arts in some manner, your style of expression has that ‘little something extra’ that can make your creations truly memorable.

Another side to this aspect is that, as a child, you were not allowed to bemoan your fate, to suffer all the way through your pains. You were expected to bounce back, to not let things get to you. Part of healing your wound here is to go back and experience your pains again, and work your way all the way through them to connect with them to heal. But this aspect did develop within you an innate ability to bounce back, whether from a minor setback or a major one and when you do you come back having learned a great deal and become a stronger person, as well. These experiences not only teach you, but they give you the knowledge to teach other people who are going through similar experiences how to get through them.

Chiron trine Moon

One thinks of a trine as being ‘easy’, but Chiron in trine still reflects a lesson that need be learned. With a trine, Chiron teaches that one has a tendency to get stuck in a particular mindset, or emotional set, and Chiron will keep creating one situation after another until you extricate yourself from this mindset and no longer need Chiron’s help.

Trine the Moon, the lesson is to not taking anything for granted. The more you heal from your Chiron wound, the more you learn this lesson, and the more you discover that most people around you never do learn not to take things for granted.

Because of this, you develop the ability to be a good teacher and problem-solver. You can see that a problem may exist simply because things were taken for granted, and can help others to see this possibility. You develop the knack of simplifying complex situations, and for seeing things the way they really are. You learn that even in the most commonplace there may be things beyond your previous knowledge.

Chiron square Mars

With Chiron square Mars, you have a deep wound that makes you feel the need to fight. How it manifests, what battles you choose depends first of all on how much you have been able to heal. For the need to fight was brought on very young, perhaps because you felt unjustly accused of something, perhaps because it was the only way to get what you felt was rightfully yours, perhaps because you felt attacked. In any case, there are some very deep wounds here, and a lot of pain and pent up anger (or even rage).

Whatever the causes, the Houses these two bodies fall in on your chart will show where some of your greatest battles come from in life. The sign Mars is placed in will describe your fighting style, while the sign Chiron is in will describe the type of situation that make you feel like fighting. And one way you can tell that you are experiencing pent up anger from the old wound is if someone ‘touches your buttons’, and the anger you feel seem way out of proportion to what the situation should warrant. You need to work on this anger, find avenues to release it (sports, for example, or chopping wood, or other physical activity, or therapy), and as difficult as it may seem, learn to forgive those who hurt you. You don’t have to forget to heal, but you must find a way to forgive.

As you heal from your wounds, you feel motivated to go all out to fight for those less fortunate, or for those oppressed. But until you have begun the healing path, this fighter instinct may simply manifest as a strong feeling that you can improve your life by fighting. Some situations warrant fighting, of course, but healing for you is also learning how to choose your battles, and choose when not to fight.

There are major lessons to be learned here about your masculine side (whether you are male or female, you have both an anima and an animus), which hopefully, you have learned a good bit from during early life experiences. If not, there may develop an overpowering need to assert the self, to the point that the over compensation distorts the lifestyle.

One of the major lessons that you must learn is to be adaptable, to try new methods when they come along, to experiment. Somehow, you were deeply wounded in a way that made you feel you needed to stick to a particular method of doing things, or at the very least, there is a fear of going in to uncharted waters.

So the lesson is that there are definitely times to go off in new directions, and when you learn this, the healing has begun. Some learn it early in life while others apparently never learn it.

Until the lesson is learned, the following is a common sequence of events: you find some method that works, some plan of action, but then tend to use it continually, getting into a rut (habit). After this goes on for a while, Chiron comes along and throws a wrench into the process, the success formula doesn’t work anymore, or it produces negative results. When this occurs, you may fall down, and fall hard! Even when you don’t actually fall, you are definitely thrown off-balance, and must reorient yourself. At this point in time, depending on how you have evolved past the wound, you will usually choose one of three alternatives.

1. Make an adjustment, and then go back to some routine method of doing things. If this approach is chosen you will once again have to go through the same process in the future, repeating each time that you refuse to learn. Eventually, this repetitived stress can have an influence on the health, producing stress-related ills.

2. Learn part of the lesson. If this is the case, you learn the virtues of trying new methods, new ways of doing things, but not the ‘why’ of the lesson. You might begin to revel in each new method. You may seek out and try to experience every new act that can be found, every new experience and sensation that exists, perhaps even inventing brand new ones. If you continue along this course you will still be confronted with Chiron throwing a wrench into the act, but you will see it as just one more new experience, or as a temporary setback. Continued long enough, there is a danger of going to excess with destructive results.

3. You rise above your past wound, and learn to be adaptable. You learn to try new things, and learn to discriminate, so that you also know when the old methods are still valid. You use new ways of doing things when the time is right. You thus build up a broad repertoire of methods and experiences to draw upon, and will be seen by others as extremely resourceful and multi-talented. Should you turn this great personal energy towards helping others, you will find a knack for coming up with the right solution for each individual’s problems, and often have uncanny insights into what makes people tick. You welcome each new experience, seeing it as a means, not an end.

Chiron square Saturn

It is a rare person with this aspect who did not as a child have a great deal of difficulty with parents. Since this aspect seems to stay within orb for many years, it seems to represent more people, whole generations, rather than single individuals. Thus, a great many people came from homes where there was difficulty dealing with authority. This aspect expresses itself as a tendency to get set into some routine, or some effort to build a structure that is impervious to change. You have a clear-cut idea of reality, and while you might not like it, it is secure. But then Chiron comes along and throws you totally off your feet. You may easily feel that you have been zapped! The world picture is suddenly different from what you had thought it was, and reality must be drastically redefined. At this point, you have two options:

1. Allow fear to take over, withdraw, not knowing who or what to trust. You know that what you had counted on no longer works, but you fear looking for something that will work. The best thing you could do at this point would be to seek guidance, but it is a scary thing to do, and some people allow themselves to be almost crushed before seeking help.

2. This is the more positive expression. You recognize that it is up to you to put the pieces together to form a more coherent personal definition of reality. You pull yourself together, sometimes seeking assistance from a counsellor, psychologist or guru, and attempt to construct a more workable life system with a structure that will withstand whatever comes. At this point crucial decisions are made. You may go so far as to establish a new, tight, secure foundation for yourself, and then hide behind it. If this path is chosen, you will find that you must eventually go through the catastrophe all over again as you discover that the new reality is faulty, too. or, you may go to the extreme of disregarding conventions, structures, and any definition of reality altogether. You may become totally anti-authority. If you choose this route, you will also, one day, reach a critical point where everything collapses around you, only for you, it may eventually be the coming of a very heavy Saturn event (imprisonment, poverty, ostracism) causing a great loss of personal freedom. What this aspect is trying to teach you is a major lesson, but if you do not learn from such experience, the cycle can repeat.

The most positive path, however, is the acceptance of any definition of reality as temporary, and any structure as useful, but only as a means to an end. By learning to accept change, accepting authority as necessary to a particular situation (but not as all-powerful), accept that those in power are also human, you reach a great equilibrium. You can use Saturn when needed, and go beyond it when necessary. In fact, you can create your own structures to fit the occasion, and discard them when they’re no longer needed. One of the people with this aspect, Robin Williams, said it best as the title of his album, ‘Reality is a Crutch’.

Chiron quincunx Uranus

No one currently alive was born with this aspect.

Chiron opposition NorthNode

The South Node represents what one already knows from memories retained in the unconscious of past life experiences, a storehouse of information to draw upon. The problems occur when a person dwells in the areas represented by the South Node, instead of drawing strength from them to use as they focus on the North Node experiences which lead to growth. Some feel that the South Node represents karmic experiences, knowledge learned in previous lives. But even if you do not believe in reincarnation, the South Node should be a source of strength, but not a place to reside.

Those who have Chiron conjunct South Node have difficult lessons to learn. There have been some serious, painful past experiences in your life. Chiron here initially can result in the blame game. Problems you have as an adult are ascribed to a strange or terrible childhood, and there is a reluctance to try working them out. When you are under stress, the tendency is to fall back on this excuse, or begin to act in an erratic manner, allowing Chiron’s maverick nature to come out in its most negative expression. The primary lesson is to understand, forgive, and let go. Those who do not learn it tend to fall back upon their past.

The lesson is to move on from the past, not let it rule you. As I said, the South Node has experiences to draw upon, and use. As you heal, you can draw upon your hurtful past, as it taught you a lot then you can move forward. As you do, you begin to share their unique insight with others. You learn to integrate Chiron and it is so much a part of your nature that you can draw upon it whenever another is in need of being helped. You aim your sights at the North Node and seem to attract people who can be helped by your Chiron.

On one level or another, as you heal, you can become a healer yourself. Carl Jung said that only someone who has been wounded can heal others, and if you have a lot of strength you can draw upon to do just that.

Chiron Square Ascendant
