LIFE GOALS

The Sun

Just as the Sun is the centre of the earth's Solar System, so does the Sun play a vital role in your life on earth. Your life goals are linked to your Sun - its Zodiac Sign and its position in your chart. Contrary to popular belief, the Sun isn't the only planet to be considered in a person's chart, but it is an important component. The Sun gives you an indication of how you can shine in your life. You will feel truly alive when you're living the traits indicated by your Sun. Therefore it's likely that you will spend much of your life on a journey to self discovery, aiming to incorporate these traits into your life. Understanding the energy of your Sun is a good starting point to understanding yourself and your purpose in life.

The Sun is in the 11th House

Your Sun is in the 11th House of your birth chart meaning that you're a sociable person, who makes friends easily with people from all walks of life. You feel most at home when amongst a group of like-minded people. Success in achieving your life goals is likely to be gained through your connection with other people, in particularly those who have attained a high position in society. A loyal and honest person, you benefit greatly through your friendships, alliances and group affiliations. Other people recognise the worth of a trusting and decent friend and treat you well. You've lofty ideals and like to share a common goal with other people. For these reasons your profession may also be linked with working with groups of people, particularly one with a humanitarian cause. You've many hopes and visions of what you want to achieve in your life, and can inspire others with your ideas. However, you do need to learn the ability to focus on one thing at a time, otherwise you are in danger of failing to achieve your goals through scattering your energies in different directions.

The Sun is in Libra

Your Sun is in the Zodiac Sign of Libra indicating that "moderation in all things" could become your motto, as you strive to live a life of peace and harmony. This need for balance can be seen in all areas of your life, but particularly in personal relationships which play such a strong part in your life. Justice and fairness in interpersonal relationships are all-important. You can always see both sides of the story and therefore often find yourself in a peace-making or mediating role. You're diplomatic, and therefore carry out these roles well. However, make sure that you don't lose sight of your own objectives in your efforts to help others feel at ease. There can be a tendency to become so embroiled in the problems of others and in your efforts to make others feel at peace, that you forget about yourself. It is important to remember that you also enjoy the simple pleasures of pleasant company and beautiful surroundings, and take time out to recharge your batteries. In fact you do enjoy creating an environment of beauty and surrounding yourself with objects which inspire beautiful thoughts. Artistic appreciation, and perhaps artistic talents, will feature in your life. In astrological terms, the Sun is said to be in its fall in Libra. This emphasises the fact that you may have some difficulty juggling your needs with the wishes of others.

The Sun is Conjunct Uranus

The Sun is making contact with the planet Uranus in your birth chart meaning that you're a highly-talented and unique individual, determined to carve your own destiny rather than follow traditional paths. You're brimming with original and innovative ideas, which you're eager to put into action. Your goals may change during the course of your life, but this doesn't concern you, as long as you've a range of options. Doggedly independent, you like to be given the freedom to explore your talents and to learn by your own mistakes. You respect other people's individual rights, and expect them to respect yours. It's not that you're selfish. Quite the contrary. Your goal is to use your talents and ideas for the benefit of other people, perhaps even the whole of humanity. You've strong will power and are a leader rather than a follower, refusing to bow to another person's will. Others may see you as arrogant, wilful and disruptive at times, but they are attracted to your electric personality. Like moths to a flame they are fascinated by your tremendous energy and the unique manner in which you view life. You often have flashes of intuition and are capable of sudden, decisive action, which can take other people by surprise. It's possible that you've inherited your talents from a male member of your family, in particular your father. It's likely that your father, or an important father figure, has had a marked effect on your life. Perhaps you were encouraged to break free of tradition in order to develop your interests, or perhaps the absence of a dominant male meant that you experienced a lot of freedom as a child. In some cases this influence can indicate a strong father figure against whom you rebel. Either way, it's your need to be treated as an individual that's paramount. Life is full of surprises and that's the way that you like it.

The Sun is Sesquisquare Saturn

The Sun is making a difficult contact with the planet Saturn in your chart indicating that you have to face some hardships before achieving your life goals. It's possible that you had a difficult childhood, experiencing either emotional or financial troubles. Perhaps your father, or a father figure, was an imposing and restrictive force in your life. As a child you may have felt imprisoned, unable to communicate your innermost thoughts and feelings. You may have been frightened to venture forth in the world. As an adult you may still have difficulty expressing yourself and at times feel that external circumstances are still somewhat onerous. You're fearful, worrying about the outcome of decisions and actions. On a positive note childhood difficulties can become the basis for adult wisdom, particularly if you're able to overcome your fears. As you grow older you learn that your natural reserve stands you in good stead, giving you the ability to stand back and assess situations. Your confidence grows enabling you to achieve your goals through attention to detail and hard work.

Jupiter

The planet Jupiter also tells you about your goals in life, in particular the areas in which you are likely to succeed. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, abundance and wisdom. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Jupiter had a greatly beneficial effect on a person's life.

Jupiter is in the 12th House

Jupiter is also in the 12th House of your chart signifying that in life's most despairing moments you've the ability to dig deep into a well of optimism and overcome all difficulties. You're a kind-hearted person who likes to help anyone who is suffering, perhaps even working in a charitable organisation. You're more likely to work behind the scenes rather than taking on a public role, refusing to accept public accolades. Nevertheless your good works don't go unnoticed and you're likely to benefit in other ways. It's possible that you work in an institution such as a hospital or museum, where you can work quietly and unobserved. If you do have an active public life, then you benefit greatly from extended periods of time spent in seclusion. You've a great respect for ancient wisdom, the spiritual teachings of past civilisations. Secret societies may also play a beneficial role in your life. Although you may suffer setbacks during your life, these are followed by successful periods.

Jupiter is in Scorpio

You've the planet Jupiter in the Zodiac Sign of Scorpio in your birth chart indicating that your life seems to reflect the adage that "life is meant to be lived to the full". You tackle most projects with zest making the most of resources that come your way. You're industrious, ambitious and have strong will power. These attributes stand you in good stead for the ups and downs of your life, and there are plenty of these. Life can seem a bit of a battleground at the best of times, and birth and death play key roles in your life. You're proud and don't like to admit how deeply some of your life events have affected you. This is particularly true of the deaths of loved ones, which have set you on an intense search for the truth. This quest can lead to you to delve into the mysteries of life, in particular the occult world. It also brings you into contact with people from unusual walks of life, and some of your friends could be considered quite extraordinary. You form strong bonds with other people, particularly with your spouse, and are privy to private information. It's also possible that you've been entrusted with professional secrets. You're likely to benefit from enterprises undertaken with other people.

The Moon

Astrologers from different schools of thought allocate varying meanings to the Moon in a birth chart. Ancient astrologers say that the Moon changes its nature according to its phases, and merely passes on impressions from other planets rather than directly influencing a person's life. However, modern astrologers tell us that the Moon depicts a person's roots, our home and family. They say the Moon also shows our habitual nature or subconscious patterns of behaviour which stand in the way of achieving our life goals. While the Moon can show us our strengths, it can also depict our weaknesses which need to be overcome in order to be successful in life.

The Moon is in the 11th House

The Moon is placed in the 11th House of your birth chart suggesting that friends and acquaintances are a major feature of your life, influencing you both positively and negatively. On the one hand your friends can be unreliable and changeable failing to live up to your ideals of true friendship. It may be that your friends change within themselves and move on emotionally, or simply that they move out of town and lose contact. Either way you suffer because you feel a sense of loss when separated from your friends. You seek a sense of security from your relationships with other people, only feeling safe when surrounded by warm and loving friends. This is particularly true of your women friends and groups of women, which are likely to feature prominently. Sudden changes in friendships can be disappointing. On a more positive note you can benefit from your large circle of acquaintances who help you emotionally and financially to achieve your own hopes and wishes. You enjoy popularity in groups, particularly when you feel that you feel a sense of belonging. You may find yourself drawn towards humanitarian groups.

The Moon is in Virgo

With the Moon in the sign of Virgo you love to have a sense of order in your life, and can often be found putting things straight. "A place for everything, and everything in its place" would be a good motto for you. For this reason you enjoy schedules, catalogues, diaries and calendars - all of which help put order into life. Depending on other aspects in your birth chart, you simply can't relax in dirty or untidy surroundings, and become quite agitated until something is done. Be wary of your need to be a perfectionist, and your criticism of both yourself and others for not measuring up to your own high standards. Another aspect of your life is that you also enjoy the adage a healthy mind equals a healthy body, and will go to some lengths to make sure that your mind and body are both healthy, often adhering to a strict schedule for your hygiene, diet and relaxation. In fact you've a good understanding of the power of the mind to affect the health of the body, and the discipline to keep fit and eat well. If other aspects in your birth chart are influential, then you may have the awareness of the importance of good health, but lack the discipline to adhere to a strict schedule. Nevertheless you'll develop this discipline over the course of your life. You may enjoy a job which gives you an outlet for these skills, or it may be enough for you to take care of family members and friends in your daily life.

The Moon is Trine Saturn

Much of your adult life has been spent trying to overcome the difficulties that you faced as a child in your home and family. Astrologically speaking this is because the planet Saturn is contacting the Moon in your birth chart. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Saturn had a negative influence in a person's chart. In your case your early home life has been adversely affected. The extent of this effect depends largely on other influences in your chart. In some cases it can mean that your childhood home lacked spontaneity and warmth, but was well-organised and structured in a manner which helped you to feel supported and safe. However, it's more likely that circumstances in your family led to you feeling that home was a cold and unsupportive environment. This could have been one painful incident such as the loss of a family member, or it could have been the result of years of hardship. It's possible that one of your parents, perhaps your mother, was a strict and severe influence, unable to show you the affection that you felt you deserved. As a result it's likely that you're somewhat shy as an adult, lacking in self-confidence and sensitive to criticism. You may be emotionally reserved. Perhaps you decide to live in solitude rather than risk the lack of affection and warmth that you felt as a child. As you grow older, you're likely to become more confident in your personal relationships. You learn about personal relationships through life experience, and your loved ones also become more mature. As a result your relationships with other people become more stable and satisfying as you grow older. You also develop an inner self-confidence which helps you build firm foundations in your life and achieve your ambitions, as well as loving family relationships. You work solidly to build yourself a secure and firm footing, earning the respect of those around you. You can succeed in business and in your career, particularly through being noticed by your superiors. You may also benefit through investments in land and property.

The Moon is Conjunct Pluto

The Moon and the planet Pluto are connected in your birth chart indicating that you're an intense and emotional person, prone to extreme highs and lows. You love drama and intensity, because these give you a sense of being deeply connected to your loved ones, and to the world. It's likely that your family and home life are periodically emotionally volcanic. This can be problematic if other members of your family don't desire the same level of intensity, particularly if they're seeking peace and quiet at home. If this is the case your needs are directly opposed to your loved ones', which may not concern you, but could result in dramatic changes in your personal life. This is also a problem because you've a deep sense of commitment to your personal relationships, and feel betrayed if others don't share this commitment. It's likely that your need for emotional intensity originates from an early childhood experience, probably linked with your mother or another strong woman figure. Your relationship with your mother is likely to be immersed with intense feelings, perhaps even stemming from a life-or-death situation. You may feel positively or negatively about your mother. Either way your feelings are likely to be strong. You're a resourceful person, and can rely on your own resources to solve most problems. You need to find a creative outlet for your intense nature, some thing that will totally absorb your attention. Perhaps you would enjoy property development, or renovating your house. You're a powerful person with leadership skills, and a need for a challenge.
