Chiron quincunx Mars

This aspect shows that you are the type who will go off the beaten path to do what you need to do. You are able to look into things that are not ordinarily the province of your profession, or your vocation (although not completely alien, either).

This stems from some wound that made you feel you did not go far enough when trying to attack a problem, or did not go in the right direction. Someone in your developing years shaped within you a feeling that you had to do more, go further, try something different, because you just weren’t doing it right! You may end up going to extremes because there is a tendency to continue further down the path, diverging further away from standard acceptable practices. Thus, one of the lessons of this aspect is to know how far to go; to know when it is profitable to go off on a sideline, and when to stop. The danger here is that you can get trapped on this tangent, and not only be unable to return, but not see any necessity for returning. But once you sort out this situation, and learn the lessons, you come back with skills to help others turn around. Another side of this aspect is an ability to discover incongruities in situations, as well as in the methods and motives used by other people.

Chiron conjunct Pluto

If you have Chiron conjunct Pluto you are part of a small, select group of people, born either in 1941, or during 1999–2000. These two bodies have a connection; Joyce Mason called them ‘The Comet Brothers’ because they share many qualities of a comet nucleus, waiting to transform into a full-fledged comet.

Pluto’s urge to bring about total transformation is focused through Chiron, giving you a highly specific area where you feel transformation must occur. The natal House where this conjunction falls is where you will concentrate this powerful urge for transmutation.

This aspect is a powerful push on you to evolve, to become more, and to grow. But human nature being what it is, you must not let yourself be drawn to the darker side of your nature and have the urge to take control of everything (and everyone) around you; try and determine how change ‘for the better’can be manifested.

As you follow the path to grow, and transform yourself, you develop the focus of a symbolic laser, enabling you to cut away that which has lost its value; then taking what is left, rearranging it and making it work in a brand new way, unlike anything that has gone before. Pluto always intensifies and in this case, it intensifies your need to follow your own path, and the need to seek out what needs to be changed in the pursuit of wholeness. You are very much aware of the general pains afflicting humanity, as well as the deep need of mankind to find solutions to our basic problems, to find release from humanities pain in some way.

Chiron quincunx Sun

You have a real feel for the NOW! for what is needed at the present moment in whatever field you enter. It is as if you can tune in to some subtle message that tells you ‘now is the time to do this particular thing’.

However, with this aspect, there is a danger of getting stuck in that pattern, of staying with that vibration, even though it is time to move on to something else. You have major lessons to learn about adaptation and versatility.

Positively, if you can tune into the undercurrents, you can BECOME the vibrations, you can understand them so thoroughly that you identify with them, and other people will begin to identify them that way too. But you must learn to move on to another level, another role.

The wound felt from this aspect can, however, cause you to misuse the ability it gives you; for while you are in tune with the vibrations, you can, if you so choose, use this attunement to control other people. As you heal, though, this transforms into an ability to guide others rather than control them. If you learn to be adaptable, you are then capable of teaching others, and teaching others to grow and adapt.

Chiron sextile Uranus

If you have Chiron sextile Uranus you are part of a small, select group of people, born either between 1939–1941, or 2000–2001. Those who have this aspect have a very strong need to improve the world or at least the part of it that they live in because they can perceive some very real ways that the world can be changed for the better.

If you have something to say, a message to give, you truly put yourself into the message as you try go get it across to others.

Negatively, you can easily get so caught up in your individual perceptions that you do not realize that there may be other valid views than yours. But even if you do find yourself following this negative route, there is still within you a belief in the right of the individual to take his/her own stand.

When someone meets you, they never forget you. You have something about you that stays with them, perhaps a mannerism, or some nuance in your philosophy, or even a look in your eyes; people that enter into your life do not forget you.

Chiron sextile Neptune

This aspect instilled in you a real longing for a ‘Utopia’, and your definition of Utopia is shaped by the sign of your Neptune, in Virgo it is healing the world’s pains, and of you finding the perfect way to be of service to others; in Libra it is a place of peace, harmony, and finding your other half; or in Aquarius, a place of brotherhood, a better future, and where you are able to truly express your unique self. The House position of your Neptune further defines the area of life where the perfect world is dreamt of.

This dream world, fantasy or ideal is seen on some level as the cure to most (if not all) of your problems, and can be projected onto others, seeing it as the cure-all for the problems of others as well.

The wound of this aspect was written about by Don Henley in his song ‘The End of the Innocence’ when he talks of the deep pain that is felt when one loses one’s innocence and discovers that the Utopia one idealized was a fantasy, and would not happen all by itself:

“When ‘happily ever after’fails “And we’ve been poisoned by these fairy tales”

The healing comes when you learn to see what part of your ideal Utopia can be made real if you decide to work to make it happen.

Positively this aspect gives you the ability to do a great deal for others because of your idealism and imagination. There is a great deal of ‘soul’ in you, and you really can see a world that ‘could be.’

Negatively, if Neptune is too strong, you can lose yourself in the search for the ideal and even, if not careful, end up living in a world that others perceive simply as fantasy.

There is a great potential for healing here, as well as for psychic perceptions.
