If you remain entrenched in your self-image, these new aspects tend either to become repressed (and then work on subconscious levels) or warped to fit in with the self-image that already exists. There is a deep wound when it comes to the learning process with this aspect, but it is not easy to deal with.

People born with Chiron conjunct Jupiter are born with an insatiable desire to learn. In fact, you were born wanting to learn more intensely, and a broader range of subjects, than other children. The problem was, however, one of structure.

As a result, you can become extremely knowledgeable on a great many subjects, most especially, on the one particular topic that is your quest. On a negative level, you can become the very thing you cannot easily accept in others, you can come to consider yourself as an indisputable source. Even if you don’t actually perceive yourself this way, you can appear to other people as though they think that way. On a more positive level this aspect almost always leads you to become a figure of respect in your field even among those who don’t see eye to eye with you.

This is why it is tied in to career, think of the child who speaks about what he ‘wants to be when he grows up’ and you’ll have a good idea of the Midheaven energy.

You could work well in a field where you are called upon to do some healing in some way; where you find what is out of kilter and offer suggestions to correct it. It also shows that your career will go through several changes or incarnations in your life, because the image you have for what you want to become will go through many changes throughout your life. Because it is a trine, however, these will almost always be welcome changes as you grow and evolve. Unless you can find a career which allows you to grow and evolve, in which case you may be able to stick with one thing, such careers are difficult to find.

Chiron quincunx Ascendant

Quincunx is always an aspect of adjustment. Chiron shows where one needs to focus on healing, and in many ways it can be said to show the hero’s journey, the dragons one must overcome in order to become whole. The Ascendant is how you view the immediate world around you and, as that shapes how you act, it also describes the first impression others have of you.

Putting these together shows that you have some very deep wounds which have many levels, and have impacted your personal growth in many directions. As a result, your life will be an ongoing journey of healing as you uncover this pain, that hurt, and work to heal them.

It can be quite difficult, with periods of seemingly long-term discomfort and perhaps low self-esteem, forcing you to adjust your perspective on yourself, the world around you, and the people you interact with.

And this can go on until you come to terms with the fact that your life will never become set, unchanging; your perspectives must always be open to new ways of looking at things; and that each time you go through the healing of another wound you are stronger, more whole, able to handle the next ‘dragon’ you need to face.
