Chiron sextile Jupiter

A sextile is a working aspect implying the need to put effort in to reap a positive result. Jupiter is abstract concepts, and when linked with Chiron it shows that there was some type of wound connected with how you understood what was going on around you. Perhaps you were made to feel that you were too literal; or perhaps the opposite, too far removed from the actual events around you is too abstract. In any event, part of this wound is a difficulty to be truly clear when to dwell on the abstract, and when to focus on the real world.

If you have not begun the healing, there is a tendency to get caught up in philosophical ideas and not realize you are drifting out beyond what is useful in the day-to-day realm. I’ve often seen this show up in the chart of a dreamer who tries to create a world that fits their abstract concepts, without realizing just how far they have strayed from reality.

The more control your wound has over you, the more you will find you are dwelling on the negative interpretation of various subject matter. But as you heal, you find that you focus more on the positive, uplifting perspective, and can lift others up as well.

Chiron and Pluto do not reach opposition often, but when they do they often continue that aspect for several years, creating what some call a sub-generation. This aspect seems to express itself in one of two ways.

• In some natives it shows up as a great need to overcome some powerful inner hostility stemming from early childhood. This hostility may come from being constantly thwarted by parents, or from being a recipient of hostility from others in the environment.
