Until the lesson is learned, the following is a common sequence of events: you find some method that works, some plan of action, but then tend to use it continually, getting into a rut (habit). 2. Learn part of the lesson. If this is the case, you learn the virtues of trying new methods, new ways of doing things, but not the ‘why’ of the lesson. You might begin to revel in each new method. You may seek out and try to experience every new act that can be found, every new experience and sensation that exists, perhaps even inventing brand new ones. If you continue along this course you will still be confronted with Chiron throwing a wrench into the act, but you will see it as just one more new experience, or as a temporary setback. Continued long enough, there is a danger of going to excess with destructive results.

3. You rise above your past wound, and learn to be adaptable. You learn to try new things, and learn to discriminate, so that you also know when the old methods are still valid. You use new ways of doing things when the time is right. With any Chiron trine, the deep wound is a battle between growing versus following a particular path and getting stuck. With Jupiter, it is in the realm of beliefs, and philosophies, as well as in understanding how other people think.

Part of the problem lies in the early years of life. You had experiences both good and bad that forced revision of your belief system. The experiences came from the most unexpected directions from areas where you assumed you knew pretty much all there was to know. These experiences made you learn quickly about other people, what makes them tick and what others believe. In this learning, you may frequently get remarkable insights, but there is a tendency too often of taking them for granted after a while. In this there is a hazard by taking insights for granted, you tend to feel free to use these insights any way you want. What is more, no one is perfect, so your insights may not always be on the mark but the tendency is to not question them. (When they are right, this is no problem, but when they are not, there can be serious consequences.)

On a more positive note, this aspect enables you to catch even the smallest nuance of any situation, or of a person’s behaviour, and make good use of what is perceived. In the arts, or communication, you can use this ability to make others see themselves or some very specific aspect of themselves.
