Birth Chart Report for Marlon James
Your Sun Sign
Sun in Sagittarius
In Sagittarius we encounter the human virtue of faith that encourages each soul to know the continuity of life through its darkest moments. With your Sun in Sagittarius you are blessed with this gift of faith. Your positive spirit can soothe the troubled soul and your innate wisdom can guide the weary traveller. Your zodiacal messenger is an archer whose bow is taut, ready to release an arrow towards the heart of the galaxy. This arrow suggests your power of perception and your ability to penetrate to the heart of the matter. With your Sun in Sagittarius you are a positivist and urge to act according to the highest values and principles possible. You flee from futility by focusing your arrows on a faraway target, one that is preferably unknown. Whether this is an overseas locale or a philosophical ideal, you are on a quest to make the foreign familiar and participate in broadening your horizons of life.
Your instinct to the religious and philosophical as well as your urge to develop spiritually will lead you into many different cultures, beliefs, ideas and places. You must ascribe meaning to the world around you and in order to do this you search for the answers to metaphysical questions. You are naturally far sighted. Your inner vision extends far beyond what the naked eye can see. You are intuitively orientated, following your instinct and sensitivity, in the face of scepticism and statistics, trusting in the reality of internal perceptions. Buoyed by your faith you are confident in the power of positive thinking and spiritual insight. Conviction is your empowerment and the certainty of your beliefs allows a buoyant attitude even through the most difficult of times. Protected by an armada of affirmations you can always be optimistic, even at the darkest hour. William Wordsworth defined faith as 'a passionate imagination', as it is an act of lovingly engaging with the divine. Your ability to conceive of a more worthy life, to know the existence of something greater than just what is visible and the urge to search for a higher purpose in life requires your courageous spirit and open mind. You need to explore cross-culturally and journey beyond the safety of what is familiar. Therefore you are highly motivated by adventures into the unknown whether it is through physical travel, intellectual discoveries or educational opportunities. Vocationally you are well suited to any sphere that offers you the opportunity to educate, administer, publish or inspire others.
What is moral and right is of great importance. You live by a code of ethics that inspires you to do what is noble, non-discriminatory, honourable and just. You seek temperance, moderation and balance in order to find the middle path and discern between right and wrong. For you right action is not imposed by an external moral code but spontaneously springs from your inner respect for all of life. When you act ethically you feel closer to the divine and therefore closer to your goals in life. Your capacity to search for meaning and establish your own belief system, free from the prejudices and opinions of others, is your vocation. But one of your greatest initiations is the experience of having faith in the process of life. When you are armed with a reason you can face anything. To find your vitality and spirit and to feel soulful, you need to strive for justice and temperance and remain enthusiastic and optimistic about the world. Your ideals, ethics and positive nature need to be your constant companions.
Your Moon Sign
Moon in Libra
Having your Moon in Libra reflects your need for harmony and co-operation. To feel safe you need your environment to be peaceful, uncluttered and orderly. If your external surrounds are messy and in disarray, then this affects your mood and ability to feel well. Naturally you are polite, welcoming and gracious but in an unpleasant atmosphere you find yourself being rude and unpleasant. Therefore to care for the soul, surround yourself with what is pleasing and calming. Your need to beautify and place things harmoniously could also be a feature of your vocation. Whether you literally choose a career as an interior designer, feng shui practitioner, professional artist, beautician or stage designer, you will bring your innate urge to harmonise into whatever career path you choose.
As a youngster you were always aware of differences, whether that was the delicate balance between the sexes or the way someone else was behaving. You have a natural tendency to judge others in order to know what you liked or didn't like. Your ability to judge is high, and therefore you have an instinctual ability for making detailed and considered appraisals when asked to make a judgement. You have a keen awareness of others and an urge to relate. Naturally your vocational path is about relationship, first and foremost in your own personal relationships where making choices is not as easy. Your urge to work in a partnership or in close co-operation with others might be reflected in a close business partnership or working in one-to-one situations with clients.
In nurturing professions the Moon in Libra would naturally be inclined towards individual or relationship counselling, marriage guidance, conflict resolution, where negotiation and relating skills need to be well developed. Your social skills, hospitality, ability at conflict resolution and beguile are your strong characteristics.
Your Rising Sign
Ascendant in Sagittarius
The effervescent nature of Sagittarius is prominent when placed on the Ascendant in your Birth Chart. Your enthusiasm for life and the adventures that it offers is contagious. As such you are a natural teacher, traveller, philosopher and educator. Your purpose is not so much linked with money but rather with the riches that can be gained from education and knowledge. Life has meaning when you are “getting wisdom”. You're open-minded, honest, idealistic, jovial, impulsive and a sometimes deep thinker. You view life as a continual adventure with many exciting lessons, experiencing good fortune on your travels. Your irrepressible enthusiasm is irresistible, and others are keen to join your adventures. You're ardent, affectionate, and kind-hearted. Your biggest challenge when it comes to money is showing restraint. You are likely to attract money and good fortune throughout life but you need to learn to use your own, and other people’s resources wisely. Grandiose money making schemes and expensive holidays can quickly dry up funds. If you can restrain your impulses and harness your positive traits then you're likely to be fortunate in life and an inspiration to others. If you would like to focus on a positive affirmation connected to money then with your Sagittarian Ascendant you could use this one from “Creating Money – Keys to Abundance”by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer “Everything I do brings me aliveness and growth”.
Planets in Signs
Mercury in Sagittarius
The planet Mercury in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius indicates that you're a born philosopher, enjoying any information which helps you see the big picture. You don't like getting caught up in the details of everyday life, preferring a more grandiose picture. You can often be found at the hub of any project which requires a vision for the future, as long as you can leave the details to someone else. You enjoy religion, as long as it incorporates all religious viewpoints and people from all walks of life. For you can't tolerate intolerance. You enjoy talking to people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, and of all ages, as this gives you the feeling that the world is your oyster. You also enjoy studying, whether it be in the halls of academia or the halls of life. You're a seeker of knowledge. At some stage in your life, you may also enjoy teaching others. Astrologically speaking, the planet Mercury is considered to be in detriment in the sign of Sagittarius. This means that you must be wary of becoming too grandiose and idealistic in your thinking. While the big picture is important, it's also important to slow down and attend to the details in life.
Venus in Scorpio
With Venus in the sign of Scorpio you're ardent and passionate in your primary relationship, and insist that your partner returns the intensity of your emotions. You're likely to enjoy the heights of passion if your love is matched in its intensity, finding yourself thrust into a world of almost painful pleasure. Sensual pleasure is important to you, although you also like to discover your partner's innermost thoughts and feelings. Problems can occur when your love isn't returned, or if your partner can't keep the intense fires of passion burning. Then you're likely to suffer the depths of despair, perhaps even resorting to manipulation in order to keep your partner's attention. Secret liaisons could play a part in your relationships, either your own or your partner's, particularly if the intensity becomes too claustrophobic. Jealousy and thoughts of vengeance can be a problem, although you would be wise not to give in to follow these avenues. Your challenge is to use your resources to find a middle path between the highs and lows of intense emotions within relationships. Your relationships can then flourish as important resources in your life. At some stage in your life you may benefit financially or through a legacy from an important relationship.
Mars in Libra
The planet Mars in the sign of Libra indicates that you have a strong desire for diplomacy and justice, and these can be major themes in your life. You strive for harmonious relationships and justice in your own life, and yet they often seem elusive. Perhaps this is because you're so sensitive to the injustices of the world that they take on larger proportions than they need, or perhaps it's simply that it's your role to notice and fight against wrongdoings. Either way you're often asked to take on the role of mediator and diplomat even though you may prefer to be pursuing your own creative pursuits rather than solving other people's problems. There are always plenty of people surrounding you, because you pursue friendships with many different people. On the whole you're a courteous person, but you do have a passionate side to your nature which can erupt in bursts of anger. You have a strong creative urge, which may be channelled into artistic or creative activities such as art, theatre, design, writing or dance. You have refined tastes, and seek to share these with other people. Astrologically speaking the planet Mars is considered to be in difficulty when in the sign of Libra which probably explains why you experience some problems in your relationships with others.
Jupiter in Scorpio

You tackle most projects with zest making the most of resources that come your way. You're industrious, ambitious and have strong will power. These attributes stand you in good stead for the ups and downs of your life, and there are plenty of these. Life can seem a bit of a battleground at the best of times, and birth and death play key roles in your life. You're proud and don't like to admit how deeply some of your life events have affected you. This is particularly true of the deaths of loved ones, which have set you on an intense search for the truth. This quest can lead to you to delve into the mysteries of life, in particular the occult world. It also brings you into contact with people from unusual walks of life, and some of your friends could be considered quite extraordinary. You form strong bonds with other people, particularly with your spouse, and are privy to private information. It's also possible that you've been entrusted with professional secrets. You're likely to benefit from enterprises undertaken with other people.
Saturn in Taurus
The planet Saturn in the sign of Taurus signifies that you're a slow and methodical worker, with practical skills and an ability to carry through on your promises. Although you can be a little slow for some people's liking, you're persistent. Where others may have lost interest in a job or given up in despair, you're able to keep on going until the task is finished. For this reason you're likely to benefit through your work, although you must be wary of becoming too stuck in your ways. You can be quite stubborn and this can be difficult when working on a group project. This tendency to refuse to change your ways can be an obstacle to you gaining managerial positions; nevertheless, you're likely to be in a well-paid position in your profession. Money and possessions are important to you, in particular for comfort and financial security. You're likely to achieve your financial objectives through thrift and careful investments. It's important that you're prudent and economical. Although wealth is an important objective in your life, you're quite reserved when it comes to discussing your personal finances with other people.

Chiron in Aries
You are a sensitive soul whose journey towards wholeness may involve you in events that make you feel that you are singled out in some way.
It may be necessary for you to cross a threshold, perhaps some kind of pain barrier, emotional or physical, before you can embrace your own creative potential with full confidence. You may be defined in some way by a wounding event that calls into question your identity. As a result you may become a leader or pioneer. Even though being in charge and taking the initiative means facing your fears, you are capable of inspirational leadership and taking decisive action.
You may feel vulnerable, feeling that your pain and scars are visible to others. By being courageous, you will find the key to face life's challenges.
At times you perhaps feel a deep sense of isolation, or aloneness and feel that you have to push ahead on your own, without much support from others. But relationships will also bring you opportunities to heal. Over time you will begin to forge supportive connections with others who may have undergone similar experiences. You will discover you have a rare gift to heal others as well as yourself.
Planets in Houses
Sun in 12th House
The progressed Sun moves slowly through the houses. The twelfth house of your chart is currently emphasized indicating that you are working behind the scenes on something significant. This could mean that you are going through a more introspective phase, contemplating the universe. On the other hand it could indicate that you are spending many hours concentrating on a particular long-term project. Perhaps you have a sense that you are preparing for greater things? If so, look to see when your Sun progresses into your first house. This is when your life is likely to turnaround.
Moon in 10th house
The Moon is in your 10th house, suggesting that you bring the realm of feelings, sensitivity and emotion to your profession. In classical astrology the Moon was associated with the public. Combining this with the lunar need to nurture, the vocations that are associated with the 10th house Moon are health care professions, social work, family counselling or therapy, nursing and involvement in the public service. Other professions which deal with the public, also ruled by the Moon are chefs, bakers and brewers, waiters, other occupations dealing with food and agriculture, the food industry, including catering, hotel management and promotion.
Besides the public, the moon is symbolic of women and women's issues. Therefore the Moon in the 10th house is also representative of professions concerning women's rights, health care and social services. Specialized medical areas such as gynaecology or specific issues of infertility, pregnancy, hormonal changes and rites of passage could play a role vocationally.
The Moon is also concerned with the home and is associated with a range of professions dealing in home services such as real estate, products for the home, home design and building (with a personal touch), domestic services, home services, furniture, antiques and making the home secure and safe. The mothering and nurturing side of the Moon is involved in the professions concerning the care of children, such as day care workers, teachers, early childhood educators, counsellors, family care providers, obstetricians, midwifery, and paediatricians. With this placement all these professions could be considered for a fulfilling career.
Astrological statistics have linked the Moon to the profession of writers, perhaps in a broader sense because this profession uses the right side of the brain and works in an imaginative way. Professionals such as writers, songwriters, poets, playwrights, artists, scriptwriters, novelists and creative journalists are under the spell of the Moon and may find creative writing an important part of their vocation. What is of importance is that you feel at home with your career and are able to use your strong perceptive and intuitive nature in your work.
Mercury in 1st House
Sharpen your intellectual sword because you are going to need it. Communications, contracts, merchandise and anything connected with your mind and wit are coming to the forefront. You may have been contemplating many areas of your life in the past but now you are gaining understanding. As a result spoken and written projects may begin. You may also embark on short journeys that keep you busy, demand your skills and encourage you out of your habitual modus operandi. There is no rush but you may find yourself juggling quite a few balls during this new phase of your life. If you have a bright wit and intellect then you are likely to sparkle. Quick wit and repartee, accompanied with substance, will take you far. You may also decide to study or learn a new skill which in turns propels you onto a different path.
Venus in 11th House
The focus gradually shifts to your friends and social interests during this phase. If you are single then you are likely to enjoy this time whether partying with friends, or taking part in quieter or more serious pasttimes. If you are married then communication is the key to you being able to pursue your own hopes, dreams and wishes without jeopardising the intimacy of your primary relationship. Perhaps you could both share some new interests, or agree to pursue activities of your own. A strong relationship is likely to thrive on the renewed stimulation that comes from external sources. If you have been living a more independent lifestyle then you may find your focus shifting to groups, clubs and causes that require you to work more closely with others. The idea is that external stimuli from friends, clubs and community can provide much pleasure during this phase.
Mars in 11th House
During this period of your life you are likely to advance your own goals and ambitions through your friends, associations and groups. As a consequence you may feel an urge to join a club or group, perhaps even taking on a leadership role. Your efforts are likely to be noted. For this reason you are best advised to do your best to remain a calm and forceful leader, brokering peace and diplomacy whenever possible. Your status in society is likely to increase through belonging to a group that truly reflects your own hopes, dreams and wishes while also benefitting society at large.
Jupiter in 12th House
Jupiter is also in the 12th House of your chart signifying that in life's most despairing moments you've the ability to dig deep into a well of optimism and overcome all difficulties. You're a kind-hearted person who likes to help anyone who is suffering, perhaps even working in a charitable organisation. You're more likely to work behind the scenes rather than taking on a public role, refusing to accept public accolades. Nevertheless your good works don't go unnoticed and you're likely to benefit in other ways. It's possible that you work in an institution such as a hospital or museum, where you can work quietly and unobserved. If you do have an active public life, then you benefit greatly from extended periods of time spent in seclusion. You've a great respect for ancient wisdom, the spiritual teachings of past civilisations. Secret societies may also play a beneficial role in your life. Although you may suffer setbacks during your life, these are followed by successful periods.
Saturn in 6th house
Saturn, the planet associated with the 10th house of career, is in your 6th house, suggesting that vocation is highly significant in your life. Here Saturn’s task is to define the self through work and become masterful and authoritative in the sphere of employment. Therefore Saturn is well placed in the 6th house, poised for hard work and success. That is the potentiality of Saturn in the 6th sector of work; but what is the reality? As an archetype Saturn often manifests as being critical because of its high standards and perfectionism, attitudes which you might project onto your work environment expecting it to conform to your values and high standards. The reality of course is that work will not be perfect and you will make mistakes along the way. With this in mind the possibilities for success increase.
First step is to acknowledge your ambition and your goals. Innately you want to play by the rules, work hard and ethically, adhere to a routine and get acknowledged for your accomplishments. Unfortunately the work world does not always have the same work ethic as you. Duty and responsibility to your job are high, but others, even your boss, may not share this attitude. In fact you may have already experienced a string of bosses whose competency and dedication were no match for yours. Or found out that all your hard work and dedication will not be utilised in the final process. Feeling defeated, you may turn to complaining about your situation and the lack of management or integrity. Important that you recognise this is a challenge to your authority and autonomy. In other words you get to experience what you won't do when you're the boss. You work best when given the responsibility and control; therefore if that is not there, grumbling will not make it happen. You have to. Part of the fate of Saturn in the 6th house is feeling alone to craft and shape your own job. But once you recognise your hard work and dedication is for your success, not others, you feel more able to guide your own course.
Control is important for you. Therefore you might consider self-employment, or certainly employment where you know the rules and that the opportunity to move ahead is clear. You can work well in a hierarchical structure when there are bosses you respect. Unfortunately, this might be rare. When it occurs then you will take advantage of the learning curve. But if you do not respect your superiors turn the situation to your advantage. You will grow into any job so take your time. Time is on your side. Becoming an authority or at least highly skilled in your chosen field is very important, so you may find that study and training are part of your job spec. Advancement is important for you so it might be necessary to periodically review your goals and your progress. Time management is also important, as you need to make sure you are able to satisfy all the commitments that you take on. When the pressures of work become greater than you can bear you feel it in your back. Bodily aches, a sore back, stiff knees and pains in the neck all remind you that it is time to relax and take time away from work routines. Clocking off is as important as clocking in.
One of your great assets is your persistence and your focus. But when acknowledgement is not there give yourself a pat on the back, a reward or a bonus. While your promotions may not come as fast as you would like, you are noticed for your efforts and achievements and will eventually be acknowledged for these. But you need to stay where you are to find that out!
Uranus in 10th house
In your 10th house you have the planet Uranus, whose discovery near the advent of the industrial age reminds us that this archetype presides over burgeoning industrial revolutions. Being innovative it rules the technological revolution, new and cutting-edge technology, the electronics industry and ground-breaking aspects of the electronics and engineering fields.
Computer programmers and technicians, Internet based occupations, radio and television and the broadcast media are akin to the nature of Uranus. As an altruistic planet, it rules humanitarianism and social reforms including the areas of politics, compassionate concerns and occupations, promotion of causes, professional and humanitarian associations, social services. The innovation of this archetype leads to vocations which encourages inventiveness, science and technology.
Occupations which deal with the human condition and the advancement of the individual such as psychology, especially approaches like group psychology, Adlerian, Gestalt, and psychodrama will appeal to the archetype of Uranus. Astrology, community work and reforms, many of the new age occupations, like reiki healing, crystals, channelling, complementary therapies and medicine all appeal to the non-conforming aspect of Uranus. It is the extraordinary and non-traditional vocations that call you. Therefore it is not too far out to consider being a rock musician, a metaphysician or even a science fiction writer. To be true to yourself you need to find the road less travelled through the world. Expect the unexpected. But if you were to imagine one thing, anticipate that your career will take you farther afield than anyone else in your family and/or tribe has been before. When you were born your vocation probably did not exist, or if it did it was probably not one your parents would have considered for you. To find your fulfilling career you need to recognise the avant-garde, futuristic and unique aspects of yourself and how you might shape these into a role for you in the world.
Neptune in 12th House
The planet Neptune placed in the 12th House of your chart means that you often feel overwhelmed by the realities of the modern-day world, and yearn for seclusion. These feelings hamper your creative projects, and spiritual process in life. You may spend much of your time day-dreaming or fantasising about possibilities, rather than acting. If you immerse yourself in these fantasies then you're likely to be escaping from reality, which doesn't help you live your true potential. However, you're likely to benefit from moments of seclusion which enable you to reflect before taking action. You're a compassionate person, with a talent for caring for other people. You may enjoy investigating your psychic abilities, or working behind the scenes.
Pluto in 10th house
In your 10th house you have the planet Pluto, whose realm is the underworld, the mythological sphere where treasures and riches were buried. Pluto’s name means riches and wherever Pluto is in the horoscope you will be empowered to find the buried treasure. However, this place is also the ‘door to Dis’; Dis, being the Roman name for the underworld god. Therefore this is where you may locate the subterranean feelings which have been unexpressed in your family, suggesting that your vocational path may be littered with the shades, ghosts and secrets of your familial past. Yet it also suggests that you are uncovering valuables and riches not experienced before in your family.
Pluto is associated with loss, unexpressed grief, traumatic and shameful feelings, secrets as well as a host of unacceptable feelings such as anger, rage, resentment, jealousy, envy etc. In a vocational sense, Pluto often deals with vocations which dig deep down, either into the literal ground, or into the psychic ground of an individual to locate the truth and encourage the release of the repressed. Hence psychotherapy, oncology and bereavement counselling are all vocational descriptions which are worth considering. Pluto rules research and investigative vocations such as depth psychology, doctors, loss and grief practitioners, bereavement counsellors, work in the mines, subways or underground, plumbing, medical researchers, investigative reporting, police and governmental undercover agencies, detectives, archaeologists. All these vocations would be consistent with this image in your horoscope.
Pluto is also the realm of the dead and in a vocational sense you might be involved with this literal realm or careers where the cycle of destruction and renewal is prevalent. Burials, undertaking professions, coroners, mortuary work, wills and legal vocations concerning inheritances, the dead and the rights of the dead, insurance agents, demolition and renovation work would be consistent with this image. The power of Pluto to influence the masses and transform public opinion is reflected in careers like marketing researchers, media and vocations of influence, politics, police work, big business and government.
One of the main dilemmas with this placement is that your solitude and need to be alone is placed in the path of your career. This might suggest you have ambivalence about being public or known; however, it also reinforces the need to find your privacy and solitude in your working life. With Pluto on your Midheaven your destiny will involve you with people in powerful positions, influential businesses and transforming occupations. It is important for you to recognise that you make an impact on your world even if you are unaware of it.
;PLANETS ON MC/IC
NorthNode in 3rd House
The North Node in the 3rd house brings the issues of how we coordinate and collate information to make sense of it rationally, so that we can communicate it effectively to others in our environment. This task is important since you need to know that the world around you is not haphazard and that you are not pursuing pointless connections or unnecessary detours. This suggests you need to be cognizant of the immediate environment and its boundaries exploring its environs before you feel confident enough. Curiosity and interest are prompts you can use to help expand your territory and push the boundaries, but it is important not to be sidetracked by impossible schemes, vague philosophies or charismatic ideals. Finding your place in any system is important. Originally this may have been with your siblings or friends; however vocationally it is important to be aware of your place in the corporation and with co-workers and colleagues. The culture of the work place is an important consideration for you and therefore you might take some time before you settle into a routine. Your early work experience is broad and you might have to exhaust some wanderlust before you can establish yourself professionally.
Naturally you have a worldly intelligence. You instinctually understand cultural and philosophical complexities and are more comfortable than most with the bigger picture. You might feel like a citizen of the world, not bound to your place of origin. Vocationally you may be challenged to express and disseminate this understanding, whether that is through written or oral communication, the creative arts or another class of dissemination or broadcasting. One of your developmental tasks expressed through your vocation will be to challenge yourself to be articulate about what you know. Like a journalist you may find yourself expressing the complexities of human nature to others who do not have your level of understanding and far sightedness. Your nodal invitation is to express your vast understanding in a succinct and everyday language. You are drawn to the mystical and metaphysical sphere but your destiny is to translate the imaginative into the practical.
Chiron in 4th House
Chiron is a maverick in the planetary pantheon. Since its discovery in 1977, it has defied categorisation. Similarly with Chiron in your 4th House you might have first experienced this feeling of being a maverick in your family of origin. Your family may have been marginal to the mainstream culture that your grew up in. Themes of abandonment, estrangement or displacement may have permeated your family atmosphere. These may have been lingering feelings left over from an emigration, displacement or family schism that left your family on the outside. But the question that is important is what extent did these feelings of marginality contribute to your feeling unsafe and not belonging. No doubt this placement suggests that you are an individualist and a nonconformist but are you comfortable with this role? To be secure you need to accept that you are different from the rest of the herd. These differences provide the secure base upon which you will build your life.
If the family is the outsider in the society, then you may feel that safety can only be sustained in your family, leaving you at risk of venturing into the wider world. Your family myth may imply that the pain of living is great, wounding your will and the spirit that promotes adventure and exploration outside the family and culture. Has a family wound left you with a handicap? If so then it is important to reflect on how this essential aspect of your character may be used to your advantage. If not, then consider your responses to those who are disadvantaged or on the edge since you will cross paths. This also might literally suggest that one parent was wounded in some way; generally this is a loss of spirit due to feelings of excommunication that took place in their family. You are sensitive to this theme. Another way this might have manifested is that a trauma, injury or affliction may have affected a family member. And due to this, the family attention was directed towards pain rather than comfort. This contributed to making the wound the centrepiece in the family. However this may have also been the inspiration for you to find your spiritual self. Deeply embedded in your inner self is a healing and compassionate side born not from inspiration, but often desperation. Freud wrote about the phenomena of Family Romance, the child’s feeling of being alien to their family of origin and therefore romanticising their parents and siblings. While you might not have romanticised your origins you might have felt alien and adopted when growing up. This is your deep feeling that will spur you to find where you do belong.
In mythological tradition, the heroes are often cast out and abandoned, left to fend for themselves. In Greek mythology the orphaned were brought to Chiron to raise and in his home cave he taught them the heroic skills to become a warrior, a healer and a bard. This mythic motif underlies your family experience. It is the disenfranchised aspects of your self that teach you to be heroic. And ironically you are most daring when you are helping others accept their own personal limitations. Why you stand out is not because you do not fit in, but because you are one of a kind.
Being one of a kind, you are drawn to others who are marginal. Your kindred spirits understand what it is like to feel a misfit and support and encourage you to belong in your own way. You find a haven away from the normalcy of everyday life. In fact when you bring what is different about you into the heart of your life you find where you belong.
Nodes
NorthNode in Aquarius
You have the North Node in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo, indicating that you have a well-developed sense of self. Underlying your personality is self-assurance that you are loved, but in order to deeply know this to be true your vocation will lead you into the community. Your invitation is to join the human race and develop your humanitarianism. You might beat a loud drum but now it needs to be in the context of a collective parade. Become a friend to others and you will find that you shine brighter than ever. Stepping away from your own creative pursuits into the community actually provides the best venue possible for your talents and creativity. You are an original, a classic as they say. But your ample charisma and abundant charm must be aligned with community concerns before you can feel purposeful and appreciated. Ironically you become the star of the show when you are the producer focusing on the needs of the group. You find your heart's desire through the lighting of the communal fires and not solely your own. Behind the scenes is where you are the star of the show
Humanitarian ideals are an important aspect of any vocation. However your vocational ideals may lead you into an involvement in humanitarian pursuits or organisations and companies, sympathetic to humanitarian, ecological or animal concerns. While individualism is of high importance in your vocation you also need tribal and social interaction, intellectual stimulation and personal interchange in your work. You need to express its individuality in the work sector and feel unique and independent in what they do. Therefore it is the vocations that are different, even marginal that you may be drawn to. You are not afraid of being on the fringe when you tap into that confidence that you have inherited. If your working atmosphere is too rigid, authoritative or emotionally demanding then you will rebel either through shock tactics, acting out or simply leaving. You need to feel unrestrained in your occupation and work best in a democratic structure than a hierarchical one
You need social involvement to feel successful, but this does not necessarily mean you need to attach, in fact you probably are happier at work when you are non-attached. Therefore in a work environment you appreciate the social interaction but do not necessarily develop deeper emotional bonds. The more space you have on your vocational path, the more effectible you become. Without space in your working lives you might feel frantic and suffocated. When you draw on your reserves of self-confidence and conviction in your talents you are able to create an open ticket in your vocational pursuits.
Aspects
Sun Conjunction Neptune
It is time to slow down and contemplate. Spiritual, artistic and philanthropic activities are highly beneficial right now. Nature walks and trips to the seaside are also very soothing. If you have been working hard or undergoing rapid changes in your life then you would be well advised to make the most of this period. Relax and reflect. This is a time of assimilation rather than action. Feelings in connection to the past may emerge during this period. If so, then express the emotions in a safe and gentle manner and allow a growing sense of comprehension to dawn. An artistic project, spiritual retreat or philanthropic activity may be the perfect avenue to explore the softer side of your nature.
Sun Soft Pluto
You're likely to achieve your life goals because you're a powerful person with strong leadership abilities. The Sun is making contact with the planet Pluto in your birth chart meaning that you know when to be assertive and when to compromise, essential qualities for succeeding in life. You're able to apply yourself to the job at hand, concentrating your energies on any project in which you wish to succeed. You're intense, obsessive and have the power to achieve your goals. At times this can be disconcerting to other people, but you're unlikely to worry about the effect that you have on other people. You like honest and direct communications, and find it easy to rid yourself of unwanted people or situations. In fact you are somewhat intolerant of other less-powerful people. It's likely that your father, or a strong parental figure, played an important role in your early childhood. You learnt at an early age how to fend for yourself. As an adult you're a real go-getter. Your challenge is to express your power in a positive manner. You may be interested in executive positions, and or in playing a prominent role in society, such as becoming a politician.
Mercury Hard Saturn
The planet Mercury is making unfavourable contact with the planet Saturn in your birth chart meaning that you experience delays and obstacles in your education and communication at some stage of your life. This could be problems with teachers in early childhood education, or a change of school which proves unsatisfactory, or possibly early-learning difficulties. This is likely to have been a problem when you were a child. Perhaps a teacher or a parent was critical of your ideas, or you were shy. Perhaps circumstances, such as financial loss or death, troubled your mind or prevented you from completing your education. Whatever the scenario, it's likely that you continue to be exposed to disappointments as you grow older. You seem to be subject to criticism and opposition, hindering your plans and communications with other people. These delays are most likely to occur in connection to your studies, contracts, books, and negotiations with other people. You also need to be wary of unnecessary gloomy thoughts. At times you may sympathise with the misery of the donkey Eeyore in A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh. You would do well to remember that it's possible that you've become overly sensitive to criticism as a result of your childhood experiences. You may be reacting to perceived sleights, which were not intended. It's also possible that you've become set in your ideas and find it difficult to change your mind. Your rigidity may be preventing you from understanding the true meaning of other's words and actions. Although you've difficulty in communicating your thoughts to others and overcoming the obstacles in your education, you do have strong will power. Your strength of mind and persistence can be put to good use. You may be particularly interested in science, medicine, or politics, although you're more likely to adhere to traditional approaches. You've the ability to become a voice of authority in your field of expertise, particularly a field which requires. In other words you're capable of achieving whatever you set your mind to despite the obstacles.
Mercury Soft Mars
The planets Mercury and Mars are making contact in your chart indicating that you've a razor-sharp mind and tongue, which you're not afraid of using. You're quick to grasp new ideas, and enjoy studying any subject that challenges your mind. You may have a keen interest in sports and military pursuits. You've good intellectual powers, and are witty, enthusiastic and ingenious. You're a forthright and powerful speaker, perhaps not realising the extent of the effect that your words have on other people. Others may react adversely to your feisty way of communicating, particularly if you fail to curb your tendency to speak first and think later. In some way your communications with other people tend to involve conflict, a battle of words requiring strategic manoeuvres. On a positive note it's also possible that others appreciate your ability to speak your mind, particularly if you're fighting for a cause. You may become an advocate for individuals or groups of people, who are unable to stand up for themselves or who need a strong spokesperson. You're the right choice because you're perceptive, enjoy a thought-provoking discussion or argument, and are agile in most negotiations.
Venus Soft Uranus
The planets Venus and Uranus are connected in your birth chart indicating that you value freedom and individuality in your most intimate relationships. In fact you're determined to be recognised as an individual by your primary partner, sometimes to the extent that you won't allow anyone to curb your sense of freedom. You're attracted to an unusual, active or lively partner, rather than someone staid. For this reason your primary partner is likely to be inventive, extraordinary or involved in an unusual occupation. This isn't everyone's idea of an ideal partner, but it suits you. You seek spontaneity and intellectual stimulation from your primary relationship. Depending on other influences in your chart, commitment isn't a major part of your vocabulary, and can be something that you tend to avoid, preferring to be "footloose and fancy free". It's likely that you're afraid of losing your independence, or perhaps you simply don't like the confines of a conventional relationship. Fortunately you're likely to have many friends and potential partners. Your bright and magnetic personality attracts potential life partners like moths to a flame. You enjoy socialising and have a wide circle of friends, and believe that it's important that a life partner share your friendships. Your best friend should be your partner, as far as you're concerned.
Venus Soft Moon
You enjoy comfortable relationships with other people because of the favourable combination of the Moon and Venus in your birth chart. A charming and prudent person, you enjoy the company of other people, and they respond favourably. You're likely to enjoy success in your primary relationship, choosing someone who feels comfortable and companionable. You're also likely to benefit from your relationships with women.
Venus Hard Saturn
The planets Venus and Saturn have combined in your chart indicating that you have difficulty in intimate relationships. You seek commitment and security in your primary relationship, but may be disappointed at some stage of your life. Its possible for you to have a rewarding, long-term relationship with someone trustworthy and reliable, but it's likely to be after initial setbacks and upsets. You're faithful and loyal, a dependable, stable and dutiful partner. However, you need to be wary of becoming involved with someone who tries to control your movements and behaviour. Depending on other influences in your chart you may be shy and inhibited in your personal relationships, and be fearful of standing up for your rights. One of your parents may have been too strict, eroding your confidence and ability to make your own way in the world. Consequently you fear expressing yourself, particularly in intimate relationships, and harbour feelings of being unattractive. While your personal relationships may prove difficult you've the ability to form good business partnerships. This is probably because business partners don't require intimacy or emotional vulnerability. It's also possible that you're attracted to someone much older. The good news is that once you overcome your feelings of inadequacy you've the ability to form secure and long-lasting personal relationships based on firm foundations. You may favour a traditional marital relationship, complete with a ceremony and wedding vows.
Jupiter Hard Saturn
You can succeed in achieving your life goals, but only after you've learnt to balance the conventional and unorthodox sides of your nature. This is because the planets Jupiter and Saturn are making a difficult aspect in your birth chart. There is a dissident side to your nature, which you've difficulty keeping under control. Unrestrained enthusiasm can lead you into trouble. At other times there's an orthodox side which is overly cautious, causing you to hesitate unnecessarily when action is required. Finding the right balance is hard work. Generally speaking you're a poor judge of when to take action and when to wait patiently. As a result you're likely to suffer financial loss if speculating in the business or financial world. You would also do well, if possible, to steer clear of lawsuits. On a positive note when you can blend the two opposing forces you're capable of great things. You can enjoy success in self-employment or be a valued member of a team, particularly in the business world. Once a balance is achieved you're sure of achieving your objectives in life.
Neptune Square NorthNode
In your horoscope Neptune forms a right angle to the Nodal Axis. Traditionally this is often a testing aspect; however, when aspecting the Nodal Axis, Neptune has a unique function to play in terms of your vocation. An established way to think about this aspect is to place Neptune at the bending in the cycle, a time when a change of course is imminent. Therefore in terms of the course of your vocation it is necessary to face your own spiritual and creative needs.
This suggests that you will be challenged to continuously re-imagine your vocation in order to feel fulfilled by what you do. When your life direction becomes run of the mill or you feel your vocational path does not provided enough creative sparks or spiritual sustenance you will feel moved to seek out some soulful nourishment. While it may be difficult to inject some creativity or spirituality into your job, it is necessary for you to introduce this into your life or you will feel haunted by a sensation of purposelessness. This can be done in numerous ways; a few suggestions might be volunteer work for the needy or underprivileged, an art or photography class, playing music, following a spiritual discipline, a rendezvous with the imagination through dream work or Tarot, or an engagement with the soul through a form of devotion. When you feel fulfilled in this aspect of your life you are better able to know how to infuse your work with meaning and soul. However you invite the creative spirit into your life is not the issue; it is the fact that you need to in order to find fulfillment that is critical. And once you are able to do that you feel that you have turned a corner in your life, bending towards a more authentic way to follow your life path. It is important that you channel your creative imagination, as without a structure for it you may find that you are bypassing your vocation.
Neptune Soft Pluto
The planets Neptune and Pluto both move slowly through the zodiac, and therefore any connection between the two planets affects birth charts for a short period of time. You were born in such a time. This combination in your chart means that you're interested in opportunities to bring about fundamental change to human values. You are aware of injustices in society and, depending on other influences in your chart, may prefer to fight against them rather than sit back and accept the ills of society. Your creative urges may be linked to politics, or expressing your political views through the arts or spiritual or charitable organisations.
Pluto sextile Neptune
With Pluto Sextile Neptune, your life is enriched with opportunities presented by the Angels Metatron and Tamiel. Metatron has been called the King of Angels and the Chief of the Ministering Angels. This Angel is thought to be the pillar of fire the Jews followed in their exodus from Egypt. He is a certain link between you and the divine. Metatron's association with Tamiel, the Angel of Primordial Energies, is extremely powerful.
You undoubtedly experience supernatural events and conditions during your life. Your Angels provide this resource and can help you refine it. Psychic impressions and intuition become second nature to you after a while. You learn to act on intuition in much the same way you would act on advice from your accountant.
One facet of the path of personal integrity for you involves purification of your soul. This means elevating your thoughts above petty jealousy and anger. While you may never overcome negative thinking entirely, working with your Angels will lift you up, step by step, to thoughts of compassion and love. Love overcomes fear and compassion overcomes hatred.
One possible expression of this aspect of your birth chart is that you have at least one extrasensory ability. At first you may experience some confusion in interpreting psychic and intuitive information as it comes to you. You are likely to overcome this confusion once you develop the necessary comprehension of your abilities and thus develop your psychic skills. Meditation each day allows your Angels to contact you more directly to help in this area.
You have the power of a storyteller combined with the wisdom of a seer. You could write fiction or dramatic scripts, and your poetry can become the liquid fire of inspiration and soothing balm for the soul.
NorthNode Soft Mars
The North Node and the planet Mars are combining to suggest that you're being challenged to become assertive and focussed on your personal goals. Independence and self-confidence are keys to your growth in this life, and you may find yourself thrust into leadership roles.
SouthNode Soft Pluto
You've a tendency to become embroiled in the dramas and crises of life, whether they be real ones or in your imagination. This is because of the association of the South Node and the planet Pluto in your birth chart. It's true that you're familiar with the darker side of life: matters such as jealousy, malice, under-handed deals, abusive behaviour, criminal elements and depravation. Your challenge is to rise above the negativity, whether it's your own or other people's, and to use your insights and resources for the good of others. For instance you could prove skilled in the area of crisis counselling.
Chiron trine Neptune
This is an aspect in effect for many people. It gives the individual a tendency to take for granted that the dreams you dream are ideals that will lead to a whole life, and may not be consciously aware of how important these dreams are to you.
If, in childhood, you were allowed to dream and express the dreams, as an adult you will feel very comfortable exploring matters of alternate realities and ideals which could slowly change the world. On the other hand, if you were told in childhood to stick to the real world, the dreams you take for granted will be just the dreams instilled in you by others. To best understand yourself, you must take time to look at your deepest dreams and decide are they truly your own, or have you just taken the dreams of others and sacrificed your own?
This aspect enables you to sojourn beyond the present world into more spiritual realms to help you heal, and it would be advisable for you to take time on a regular basis for meditation, yoga, or other transcendental activities. In fact, it is necessary, if you are to make the best of living in the day-to-day world, that you have regular times where you get away from it, and so this aspect shows that you need to be sure to allow yourself time alone.
Some of your greatest inspirations will come during these ‘journeys’. Chiron trine Neptune person Alexander G. Bell came up with the idea for the telephone while on one of his ‘journeys’ outside of his day-to-day existence.
Chiron opposition Pluto
Chiron and Pluto do not reach opposition often, but when they do they often continue that aspect for several years, creating what some call a sub-generation. In the past hundred years, they only were in opposition for one period, but everyone born from March 1961 through February 1966 have this aspect in their chart.
This aspect seems to express itself in one of two ways.
• In some natives it shows up as a great need to overcome some powerful inner hostility stemming from early childhood. This hostility may come from being constantly thwarted by parents, or from being a recipient of hostility from others in the environment. Whatever the cause, there are major lessons to learn about opening up, getting in touch with the inner rage, and then cleansing it once and for all from the system.
• In other persons, rather than anger, the expression is a need to win, to overcome obstacles and to beat any opponent. In both cases, you need to face the root of the hostility, or intensity, in order to bring about the needed healing.
It also gives a deep awareness of suffering, something you can put out of your mind but which never completely leaves you. I once read that we laugh at most jokes because it is a way to deal with the pain and suffering; we laugh because we can identify with the sorrow the object of the joke is experiencing and the laughter is a needed release.
Chiron opposition Pluto people often make excellent storytellers, and tellers of jokes, because of this powerful awareness.
Chiron Trine Ascendant
This point progresses very slowly throughout your lifetime. Therefore you are likely to have this aspect in your birth chart. This progression may emphasise your healing abilities. You are on a quest to learn the many aspects of healing - physical, emotional and spiritual. The quotation from the Bible's New Testament Luke iv. 23. - "Physician heal thyself" - may hold special meaning. You may also need to learn when to give others the freedom to heal themselves and when to offer a helping hand.
Chiron opposition Moon
There is a deep wound when it comes to your feelings, and how you express them. Perhaps you were compared to others unfavourably by authority figures (why can’t you keep your feelings under control like so-and-so), or perhaps you were expected to show more emotion, or maybe you were berated for being too sensitive to others. No matter how the wound developed, you have a multiplicity of feelings that can threaten to overwhelm you if you let them. One of the dangers here, until you begin to heal, is that you may end dichotomizing yourself, and projecting your own feelings onto others. Then the perception may develop that those ‘others’ are the enemy, or at least, not on your side. Healing begins to occur when you learn to recognize that you have, realized how many different levels of them you are experiencing, and how each emotional incident relates to the next one.
Another side of the wound is that you were made extremely sensitive about things being ‘fair’ or ‘unfair’. When this aspect expresses positively you can be a fighter for the people; but when negative you can become a fighter against people, becoming quite defensive. In one way or another, this is the aspect of a real fighter’s instinct, which is a positive expression. When you heal, you take on conflicts more for causes, than out of defensiveness.
The Moon represents, among other things, the ability to tune in to day-to-day experiences. The opposition to Chiron gives you the ability to step outside of situations, and see them with an objectivity that allows you to penetrate problems quickly and go straight to the point.
If you can reach a position of healing where you do not let your feelings overwhelm you, this is an unbelievably creative aspect, leading you to experience a multitude of different feelings and moods, which you can then readily integrate into your psyche.
Chiron trine Sun
One does not usually think of a trine as related to a conflict, but Chiron changes the dynamics. In fact, with Chiron trine the Sun, there is an internal fight going on.
When you were little, people around you made a big deal about knowing yourself, knowing what you were going to do. Perhaps you were reprimanded for not having clear goals, or not knowing yourself; perhaps others tried to force their expectations upon you. In any case, there is a wound here that caused you, at an early age, to come to a firm conviction about who you are and what you are going to do. The problem is that you also tend, with this aspect, to be resistant to change as if you must hold your present self-image at any cost.
Chiron does not allow complacency, or ruts, nor does it allow a person to remain resistant to change. What happens is that, until you have begun to heal, you will periodically experience new aspects of yourself from areas that you thought you knew completely.
If you remain entrenched in your self-image, these new aspects tend either to become repressed (and then work on subconscious levels) or warped to fit in with the self-image that already exists. Once either of these things occurs the process can snowball as more insights are likewise repressed or warped. You can see the danger of continuing this process for long periods of time..
And if you refuse to grow, refuse to explore new worlds that open up before you, holding on tightly to a very limited definition of purpose, the personal world will become less fulfilling, and realistic.
The healing begins when you accept that you have much more potential than you ever allowed yourself to admit, and when you admit that any self-image you have is only temporary, subject to change as self-learning reveals more of who you are, and what you can become.
This aspect does give you a unique gift, a sense of wonder about life. There is usually also a love of all the surprises life can bring, although (until you begin to heal), you may not be too happy with unexpected surprises in your own world. This wonder is contagious, you can bring it to other people just by being near them. You have the ability to portray this wonder creatively, through art or writing. (Whether you tap the talent is up to you.)
Chiron opposition Uranus
Between 1952 and 1989 Chiron exactly opposed Uranus forty-one times, and was in orb of opposition for just about everyone born during those 47 years. Thus, it is more of a generational influence than an individual one.
Historically, you can see that this aspect is tied into the accelerated pace of scientific advancement during the second half of the Twentieth Century. Actually, one of the problems is that science is making discoveries faster than they can be integrated into society; even faster than proper safeguards can be devised for our protection from side effects and from the discoveries themselves.
This same ‘vibration’ is, in many ways, a part of the nature of individuals who have this aspect. There is a thirst for the new, for discovery, for experiences, that often outweighs the taking of any precautions. Others dare not try to curtail your freedom, the consequences may not be pleasant. The urge for independence can be so strong that it can create difficulties in relationships. The only relationships that truly last for someone with this aspect is one where each person is given a lot of space to be themselves, in truth, it is difficult to find someone sufficiently secure to give a partner that much freedom. It does give a real spirit, though.
The wound of the whole generation, though, can be summed up in the words, ‘fallen heroes’. For thousands of years, people had heroes to worship, people to look up to as almost godlike. But this generation has seen all of its heroes fall, or show very unheroic sides, or in one way or another, prove they are just like everyone else. As a result, your generation has had a wound that each person must learn to heal in his/her own way, but the lesson is to become one’s own hero to become the person you would like to look up to and respect.
