Your capacity to heal reflects the partnership you can develop with your Angels. Two factors are important to note:

There is duality in everything. Any illness, discomfort, or mental aberration reflects one side of a polarity. On the other side you can find health, sanity, and satisfaction. Love casts out fear, for example. Pain can instill compassion. Emotional healing occurs when you go through your suffering instead of denying it. Angelic greetings traditionally have included the words, 'Fear not,' because the removal of fear from your consciousness creates suitable conditions for healing.

Physiology mirrors consciousness. As you learn the subtle connections between your belief, thoughts, and feelings and the physical body, you begin to see how positive, optimistic, creative thoughts produce healthy feelings, while negative, destructive, pessimistic thoughts create feelings of illness. You retain your free will, but your Angels create a condition in which you can more readily choose the enlightened path toward greater wellness.

Meditation can be painful for you at first because your body and mind are so used to rushing around every single moment. Take time to sit and meditate each day. Focus on your breath or on an object helps you gain a sense of space in which your healing can occur easily. Your Angels provide a bridge from your current state to one of greater intuitive understanding of wellness in your life.

Chiron square Sun

You are person who truly wants to change the world in some way, although you may or may not ever do anything about it. This urge stems from something very subjective, your wound has forced you to go through at least one, but usually several major changes in your self-image and sense of purpose. Any Chiron square throws the other body off balance, and often, so that the person must make time to re-establish the balance.

Most likely, the wound stemmed from your relationship with your father, or other male role model. Perhaps you never could understand what your parent expected of you, what they expected you to be or how they wanted you to behave, and so no matter what you did, you never received their approval to help you feel good about yourself. Or perhaps you were made to feel that you had to stay in the background, that your parent was much more important than you. No matter what, you developed into an adult with a poor sense of who you are and your potential. And as a result you became a searcher, trying to find your true self, your calling, your ultimate purpose, never feeling completely sure you are on the right path.

Once you have learned to leave a sense of ‘ultimate purpose’ open to change, and have learned that your self-image must be allowed to adapt through new circumstances, you then begin to thrill in self-discovery and in discovering more about the universe. At the same time this process goes on, you should begin to want to do something for the world in some way to correct an imbalance, open a door, teach, research.

NOTE: Some people never do accept change and are forced to cope with one disruption after another. If you continually fight the healing growth of Chiron, this aspect can become a symbol of feelings of persecution, as you nearly always see the disruptions as coming from external forces.

Chiron square Midheaven

A square makes you easily dissatisfied with the ordinary circumstances of life. There are deep wounds connected with both parents (or whoever your authority role models were in childhood), as you were very sensitive to everything they said, as well as to any conflict or undercurrent of anger or dissension that passed between them. One parent, or perhaps both, made you feel you had little self-worth. You may have repeated memories of feeling let down by role models you looked up to. It may be because you were made to feel that you would never amount to something, or it may be that you were constantly made to feel that you must find the right career for yourself and nothing else would do,perhaps not having the right tools or knowledge needed to find this ideal profession. Part of your healing must involve recognizing that you are different than your parents were. That, to paraphrase Gibran, you are from them, but you are not them. No matter what type of relationship they had with each other, your relationships need not be anything like theirs. No matter how they made you feel (and it may have been unintentional on their part), should you become a parent, the way you treat your children need not be anything like the way you were treated.

A major lesson is that you must grow and evolve along your own path, no matter what they said, you ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ do or become.

As a result of your low self-esteem it might take you a while to find what you want to do with your life. To make matters worse, the Midheaven is the most outward, public part of a person, which means that when you are experiencing pain it is extremely difficult to hide it from the outside world, it’s out in the open. Chiron is also square the opposite point, the Immum Coeli, so it is also extremely difficult to hide any pain you feel from your family.

But the more you heal, the more you desire to learn about yourself, and about the world, the more you learn, the more you heal. To some extent this means that you may be a student for your entire life.

Careers where it is important to remain secure, learning is where you will shine, where you can do something to help others heal in some way, physically, or emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or a career where you open minds, encouraging others to want to learn. So you could have a career as a healer, or you could be that teacher people remember because you made them want to explore the world after they left your class.

Chiron conjunct Mars

This aspect gives you an incredibly strong tendency to do things your own way. When you were a child you may have heard your parents, frequently, saying, “All right, do it your way. Don’t listen to me.” and as an adult it is still difficult for you to accept advice to do something differently than that you had planned.

However, as a child, you WOULD accept advice if you felt that it was coming from a mentor. And that could have had difficult consequences, if the person you saw as mentor was of less than reputable character, or someone prone to poor judgement.

One of the lessons of this aspect is when to take advice, when not to; and who to listen to. As an adult there is still the need to follow your own path to resolve problems, although there is still a desire to listen to advice if you feel it comes backed by some authority noted for special or unique insight, rather than just from your own opinion or some arbitrary authority.

Once you tap into the energy of this aspect you develop a remarkable ability to find the key to overcome other people’s problems and you usually are very concerned with doing just that.

But in your own life it can be quite a different story. You tend to have continual or recurrent problems with Martian things (attacking problems, cutting in to things, taking focused actions, to name a few), over and over, until you learn some major lessons. After that, you can not only work to attack your own problems in unique ways but you may also develop a remarkable insight into what makes other people tick.

There is almost always a unique view of sex, and of sexual roles, which is totally of your own. This is not to say that it is abnormal or unnatural but merely that it seems to be one you have found for yourself, often a bit beyond socially accepted traditions.

One downside of this aspect is that you do make some enemies in life, or at least, alienate some individuals but this is never something you do on purpose. Rather, happens incidental to your tendency to pursue your own ways.

Chiron opposition Uranus

Between 1952 and 1989 Chiron exactly opposed Uranus forty-one times, and was in orb of opposition for just about everyone born during those 47 years. Thus, it is more of a generational influence than an individual one.

Historically, you can see that this aspect is tied into the accelerated pace of scientific advancement during the second half of the Twentieth Century. Actually, one of the problems is that science is making discoveries faster than they can be integrated into society; even faster than proper safeguards can be devised for our protection from side effects and from the discoveries themselves.

This same ‘vibration’ is, in many ways, a part of the nature of individuals who have this aspect. There is a thirst for the new, for discovery, for experiences, that often outweighs the taking of any precautions. Others dare not try to curtail your freedom, the consequences may not be pleasant. The urge for independence can be so strong that it can create difficulties in relationships. The only relationships that truly last for someone with this aspect is one where each person is given a lot of space to be themselves, in truth, it is difficult to find someone sufficiently secure to give a partner that much freedom. It does give a real spirit, though.

The wound of the whole generation, though, can be summed up in the words, ‘fallen heroes’. For thousands of years, people had heroes to worship, people to look up to as almost godlike. But this generation has seen all of its heroes fall, or show very unheroic sides, or in one way or another, prove they are just like everyone else. As a result, your generation has had a wound that each person must learn to heal in his/her own way, but the lesson is to become one’s own hero to become the person you would like to look up to and respect.
