LIFE GOALS
The Sun
Just as the Sun is the centre of the earth's Solar System, so does the Sun play a vital role in your life on earth. Your life goals are linked to your Sun - its Zodiac Sign and its position in your chart. Contrary to popular belief, the Sun isn't the only planet to be considered in a person's chart, but it is an important component. The Sun gives you an indication of how you can shine in your life. You will feel truly alive when you're living the traits indicated by your Sun. Therefore it's likely that you will spend much of your life on a journey to self discovery, aiming to incorporate these traits into your life. Understanding the energy of your Sun is a good starting point to understanding yourself and your purpose in life.
The Sun is in the 9th House
Your Sun is in the 9th House of your birth chart meaning that you're likely to succeed through your involvements in the church, universities, publishing houses, law, or travel - or a combination of all of these areas. You're also likely to have a desire to explore philosophy or science, because you want to develop intellectually. You're searching for truths which can stand the test of time, either philosophical or scientific truths or both. Once you've satisfied yourself that you've discovered some truths, then you're likely to want to give others the benefit of your knowledge. Therefore you can be both the student and the teacher during your lifetime. It's possible that religion plays an important role in your life, whether it be orthodox or liberal religious ideals of your own or in your family background. Depending on other sections of your chart, you've a well-balanced approach to religion, and are tolerant of other people's beliefs. You're likely to benefit and succeed through your connections with foreign people or organisations and travelling abroad. You're a self-reliant, independent person who is also likely to move to a foreign country either for a short period of time or to take up permanent residence at some stage in your life.
The Sun is in Cancer
Your Sun is in the Zodiac Sign of Cancer indicating that you're a caring and nurturing individual with a strong need for family and comfort. Like the crab you may appear to have a tough outer shell but you're vulnerable underneath and will withdraw into your shell and home if feeling threatened. This withdrawal can happen quite often as you've strong emotional reactions. These strong emotions can be directed positively into caring for and protecting others, particularly your family and loved ones. When you're feeling an emotional equilibrium you enjoy giving to others, sharing warm and loving moments, and also enjoy your own company. In particular though you yearn to look after those you love, nursing them through illness, cooking a favourite meal or curling up in front of a fireside alongside them with a good book. When upset it is a very different story, you withdraw from company and shield yourself from hurts, either real or imagined. This can feel like a wall has gone up between you and the outside world. You've strong home-making urges and a strong attachment to family members, and your home will be a great source of comfort to your friends and family. Your protective instincts can also be roused by animals, and you may find people or animals in need of comfort arriving unexpectedly on your front doorstep.
Jupiter
The planet Jupiter also tells you about your goals in life, in particular the areas in which you are likely to succeed. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, abundance and wisdom. Ancient astrologers believed that the planet Jupiter had a greatly beneficial effect on a person's life.
Jupiter is in the 7th House
Jupiter is also in the 7th House of your chart signifying that relationships are usually beneficial in your life, helping you to expand your monetary and spiritual resources. You attract a partner, who is rich in the earthly or spiritual sense, or perhaps both. This could be a successful business person or someone of high professional standing, or perhaps someone who has taken a spiritual path in life. Either way you're likely to be happy and benefit through your primary partnership. It's not just your relationship to your spouse which is successful, but also business partnerships and relationships with colleagues, and in partnerships which require a legal agreement. You're likely to succeed in any project which requires dealing with other people. The fact that you prefer to work with other people, rather than on your own, is probably a result of your natural instincts telling you that you're likely to benefit through your partnerships. Other people appreciate your ability to work happily and co-operatively in business and personal projects. Of course much of this depends on other influences in your birth chart. In some cases you could suffer through your relationships, but Ancient astrologers believe that the planet Jupiter has a beneficial effect in a person's birth chart. They also believe that it's in a favourable position in the angular 7th House. This means that you're likely to be successful in achieving your goals in partnership with other people.
Jupiter is in Taurus
You've the planet Jupiter in the Zodiac Sign of Taurus in your birth chart indicating that "success comes to those who wait" could be a good motto for you. This is because you like to take your time and build up your resources slowly and surely. You're a dignified person who realises the value of planning ahead and working towards a goal. Persistence pays off and material wealth is often the result. You're a peaceful person, more likely to be seeking security through expanding your financial resources and property rather than travelling around the world. It's not that you don't like to travel, but simply that you're a little stuck in your ways and prefer to travel for a purpose. Adventure and fun can just as readily be found on the home front as far as you're concerned. It would also be fair to say that you're somewhat attached to a comfortable life, which you easily build for yourself. Reserved by nature you prefer to travel along known pathways rather than venture into new and exciting areas. At times you can also be a little over-indulgent, but then you can usually afford to be. You're also like to have fixed religious ideas, whether they be traditional or unorthodox. It's not that you're narrow-minded, but rather than you adhere to a set of beliefs which can be your guide through life. You're interested in practical spirituality. In other words you believe that it's important to incorporate your religious or spiritual ideals into everyday life. "Actions speak louder than words" may be an appropriate adage for your personal beliefs. For this reason you could also become a patron of a group or organisations.

The Moon
Astrologers from different schools of thought allocate varying meanings to the Moon in a birth chart. Ancient astrologers say that the Moon changes its nature according to its phases, and merely passes on impressions from other planets rather than directly influencing a person's life. However, modern astrologers tell us that the Moon depicts a person's roots, our home and family. They say the Moon also shows our habitual nature or subconscious patterns of behaviour which stand in the way of achieving our life goals. While the Moon can show us our strengths, it can also depict our weaknesses which need to be overcome in order to be successful in life.
The Moon is in the 6th House
The Moon is placed in the 6th House of your birth chart suggesting that health - intellectual, emotional or the physical component - is a major focus of your life. Other components of your birth chart may indicate whether intellectual, emotional and/or physical health is the focus. Whatever the focus your own health can be a constant source of pre-occupation forcing you to constantly adjust your daily commitments and to reassess your priorities in life. Sometimes it's other people's health that concerns you, particularly a woman close to your heart. It's possible that you suffered from ill health early in your life, or that you suffered emotional or intellectual setbacks in early childhood. Perhaps you're still bearing the brunt of childhood experiences. It's also possible that you've learnt a great deal about the relationship between the mind and the body. You may want to share your own discoveries about medical treatments and the healing process with other people, possibly through your work. Your health may disrupt your daily routine, or perhaps you've learnt to adapt your lifestyle. Either way your daily life is constantly undergoing change, routines being disrupted by unforeseen circumstances. Finding a way to serve your fellow humans may be more important, more so than shining in your own right. Therefore you're likely to choose an occupation whereby you can be of service to other people.
The Moon is in Aries
With the Moon in the sign of Aries, you've the ability to thoroughly enjoy your own company. It's not that you don't like to be with others, it's simply that you find comfort in withdrawing from the world occasionally. This is particularly true when you've personal problems which need to be resolved. Under such circumstances you would prefer to be left alone to sort out your problems and sometimes become impatient with anyone who tries to disturb your solitude. This independence can be quite an asset, especially when a situation calls for self-reliance and initiative. However, it can also mean that you've difficulty feeling close to other people, which is important when forming intimate relationships. You need to make sure that your loved ones accept your need for solitude, and make an effort to initiate shared activities. You also enjoy a challenge, often striding into new territory, relying on your own resources and thriving in any situation which requires initiative. Competitive sport may be a particularly positive way for you to let off steam.
